Jordan resumes his role in "Creed II" - the sequel that will see a man who fought hard to escape his father's shadow, but soon realizes he can't escape destiny and that nothing is more important than family.

CREED II - Official Trailer 1
Creed II will be released in theaters in the Philippines by Warner Bros. Philippines on December 5th.
It's the movie that tells the story of the underdog who fought his way to the top while keeping jimself grounded and true to himself - this day November 21st, 1976 saw the release of "Rocky" in cinemas - a film written and starring a then unknown "Sylvester Stallone" in the titular role of a poor yet kind man named Rocky Balboa who worked for a loan shark and fought low-level fights in clubs before making it big by being challenged and fighting boxing champion Apollo Creed in an exhibition match. The story also revolves around Rocky meeting people who would become important in his life - including his love interest and future wife Adrian and his trainer and mentor Mickey Goldmill.
Rocky 1976 Trailer
To say the film is a literal Hollywood success story is nothing short of an understatement - Rocky went on to win three Oscar wrds - including Best Picture and Best Director in John G. Avildsen. The film would spawn six sequels and spin-offs, with Stallone becoming a big star and going on to getting other acclaimed roles in cinema history - including playing John Rambo in the Rambo action films. Rocky's legacy endures in that it taps into what the humble human spirit can do when faced with the odds, fighting with determination and going the distance to prove that you have what it takes to rise to the challenge and do your best. I could say more about the film, but it would be better to watch some nostalgic revisits and reviews, including a pretty awesome one done recently by Cinemassacre and AVGN man himself, James Rolfe!
"Gonna Fly Now" is definitely playing in fans' hearts now. Happy 40th Anniversary, Rocky!

The Expendables 3 - Exclusive Teaser Trailer
The Expendables 3 blasts into theaters on August 15, 2014!
Looks like Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the rest of the gang from the first two Expendables are set to return to heavy duty action next year, along with new cast additions Harrision Ford, Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, and Mel Gibson for one intense and personal adventure with The Expendables 3!
As seen in Slash Film and other movie news sites, Lionsgate and Stallone have released the official press release for the upcoming new sequel as production officially begins this month, revealing who's set to appear (minus Bruce Willis of course), as well as what exactly the plot is and what kind of villain Mel Gibson plays versus Sly's Barney Ross and his ragtag team of Expendables!
3 legendary names in Hollywood and the action film business have joined Sylvester Stallone's "Pure Testosterone Action" club, and it looks like we're in for some heavy hittin' awesomeness come next year!
After rumors and reports of their participation swirling for months, it's now official that Harrison "Indiana Jones/ Han Solo" Ford, Mel "Martin Riggs/ Braveheart" Gibson, and Antonio "El Mariachi/ Puss in Boots" Banderas will be joining Sly, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, and the rest of the gang for "The Expendables 3"! The news comes via Superherohype and Entertainment Weekly, and is pretty much looking good for fans of these guys itching to see a reunion of sorts for some very familiar names in Action Movie History.
Uniting many familiar names from the action hero genre together, this will be the third film in the franchise set to be released by next August, and we can only wonder where Barney Ross and his ragtag crew of mercenaries will do next! What's confirmed is that Mel will be playing the villain, much like what he's doing this year for Machete Kills.
On the other hand, it appears Bruce Willis isn't saddling up for a return as Church for the new sequel, as he and Stallone haven't come to an agreement and it didn't pan out. Read more on the story via Superherohype's article here. Rumors are also swirling that Wesley Snipes, Steven Seagal, and Jackie Chan may join the club, but we'll have to wait for more official word on that in the future.
The Expendables 3 is set for release on August 15, 2014.
Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Rambo and Commando. Rocky and The Terminator.
They're two of the biggest names in Action Hero film history, and back in the day, made a lot of people want to see the films they starred in just by their names alone. They've appeared together for the first time thanks to Stallone's testosterone action hero love letter team up film that was The Expendables and it's sequel, The Expendables 2. However, Schwarzenegger's role there was more of a cameo than a co-star, so it technically doesn't count.
All that changes this year however, as Sly and Ahnold have to work side-by-side to escape the toughest prison ever built, in a new action thriller that'll test their skills and limits - Escape Plan.
Via IGN, here's the very first trailer to the film.

The Expendables 2 explode and make the body count big in theaters on August 17, 2012!
Has anyone seen "The Expendables" yet? If you haven't, you're missing out on a huge testosterone manly party that's definitely one for the history books. Sly Stallone has gathered many of the toughest S.O.B actors this planet has to offer, and the action and mindless violence is all the reason you need to see this flick! In fact, if you were ever fans of the actors and superstars featured in The Expendables, you might be wondering how many lives each and everyone of these guys have taken since they begun eating baddies for breakfast. Well, fret not, for Screen Rant has posted this "Body Count Poster" from Term Life Insurance that lists ALL of the kills each actor in the poster has on their record!
Wow... Dolph Lundgren has the MOST kills! The man who plays Gunner Jensen in this flick is definitely a certified badass, only trailed by Stallone, who showed how much business he did over the years with his Rambo attitude! It's amazing how many years we've seen these guys kill bad guys and saving the world on the big screen, so it's no wonder why the tally is impressive when you combine all their feats together! It's funny that Terry Crews and Randy Couture are tied at 2, but then again, these guys hardly starred in any mega action roles... until being featured in The Expendables!
Directed and presented by Sylvester Stallone, The Expendables is currently showing in theaters!
It doesn't take a genius to figure out why I had to see this movie. As a kid growing up in the 80's and 90's, I absolutely HAD TO.
Movie: The Expendables
Starring: Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Mickey Rourke, Steve Austin, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger
Directed By: Sylvester Stallone
No logical reason. No excuses. This movie had Stallone, Statham, Li, Rourke, Lundgren, Crews, Couture, Austin, and pretty much every other bad ass known to humanity that has ever contributed to the world of awesome and popculture. Gathered together like the superfriends and heroes they are courtesy of director Sly, all of these action movie guys converged in "The Expendables", which Stallone attributes as a tribute to the 80's and 90's action films of yesteryear gone by. Having seen Rambo raise hell and Arnold "Commando" his way off hapless wussies, I was surrounded by gung ho elements that I could literally lose my whole being to when it came down to a fist fight, and this movie proves you don't want to mess with these boys action-wise. I came watching this flick with a couple of my best buddies yesterday, and we weren't disappointed when we walked out of the theater after the two hour path of destruction story carved out by Stallone and crew. However, that's not to say the movie doesn't have its flaws, and there are several to point out in this review. Spoilers be abound if you are one of the weary ones, so I'd suggest turning away if you want to keep your mind fresh and enjoy this one like a virgin. Otherwise, read on and learn my take on things from a action movie guy's point of view.
First things first - The Expendables was intended to be a throwback to the old school action movie mentality, so don't expect any epic plot or story on this one. It's your typical "good guys going against the bad guys" scenario, and that's as simple as it gets. As mercenaries, they kill for a living and blow the living $@## out of their targets, so you can expect lots of explosions, gunfire, and bloodshed to be involved. As a Stallone project, it's very much in the same vein as his previous flick - John Rambo; Only you got an all star cast of other action guys backing him up and taking names... literally. Sly plays the leader of the group, Barney, who leads his team of Expendables on merc missions, namely Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Terry Crews. These guys have no moral compulsions when it comes to killing, and when a job needs to be done, they're professional about it, right down to the end. It's only when the CIA get involved that things start to become messy, and when Barney and crew travel to South America for another job, things don't go according to plan and an innocent life is left hanging in the balance. Going against their M.O and making it a personal mission of redemption, Barney leads his Expendables on what looks like a real suicide mission. Then again, they're the best at what they do, and what they do isn't very nice.
The Expendables Trailer
Ok, plot-wise, this movie is your typical B-Movie action flick. It was a pretty weak and obvious story, and you could see what was going to happen a mile away, but frankly, all I cared about was the action, and that's all that mattered in my case at least. Again, there's no way a movie like this can compete to a plot that's as diverse as Inception, but it sure makes up for it with some serious action star power. I've mentioned the primary cast as it is, but there's more faces involved here than Sly and crew. Mr. Stallone was really aiming for the top bill with this flick, and so he went all out and invited two other major stars from the action movie era, namely Bruce Willis and The Governator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger! Yes, two of his partners from Planet Hollywood make a cameo appearance in a scene that sets up the major plot of this movie, so this marks the first time in history where these three can be seen together in a big budget action flick such as this, and since he assumed office, Arnold hasn't been in any action flick... until now! Overall, that was one of the big draws and come ons The Expendables had, but let's not forget the action itself. Stallone, Statham, Li, and the gang dominate in so many ways by incapacitating and spilling the guts of their victims all around the place. From using CQC combat skills and martial arts prowess to delivering lead and metal heaven with heavy guns on the bodies of their victims, nothing is as glorious as pure testosterone driving into the minds of viewers watching senseless violence ensue. Of course, that may not appeal to audiences who expect intellectual activity on their films, and the way the film depicts itself in an over-the-top manner can be downright unbelievable to the average viewer. In fact, the fight scenes alone are almost one-sided and in The Expendables favor, and a certain match between two real life professional brawlers just ended in a manner I wouldn't have seen coming. Also, certain action scenes and key dialogue sequences were rather dull and were just there to give nods and poke fun at the actors and their background. True fans with a good eye will notice immediately what those references are, but then again, everything else matters little when you have guys beating and shooting the living crap out of each other, and that's probably the only thing you need here to draw excitement and appreciation for this movie.
Quite literally, you should enter The Expendables and expect what it set out to do - deliver no-brainer fun and action where it is required not to think at all. The sense of nostalgia fans of the action film genre feel for this film will generate some buzz around this movie, and that's all that matters when the product is all about tough guys shooting and blowing brains off their targets. Overall, it's all about the machismo fun, so just sit back, relax, and enjoy the movie for what it is - brainless action gone wild and alive!
