The X-Files returns on January 2016


Brace yourselves X-Files fans... The truth is still out there and Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, once again played by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, return for a new set of episodes come 2016!

Via a report by Comic Book.com, Fox has officially announced that a six-episode series of "The X-Files" will begin on January 25, 2016, ushering in a new set of mysteries that the duo exploring the unknown and paranormal have to look into to find answers. It's certainly going to be a return that longtime viewers of the 1993 series will be looking forward to!

Guardians of the Galaxy: First Theatrical Trailer premieres on Jimmey Kimmel


Finally released after months of build-up, teases, and some juicy feeds, Marvel and Jimmy Kimmel Live! have released the very first theatrical trailer to Marvel Studios' next film this year for "Phase 2" of their Marvel Cinematic Universe - Guardians of the Galaxy! Unlikely as it sounds, this film is actually a Science Fiction adventure and comedy, and the trailer itself will show you how it will be!

Starring Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Dave "Batista" Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel as the voices of Rocket Raccoon and Groot, these ragtag group of misfits find themselves in an unlikely quest to save the universe when an mysterious orb thought to be a prized treasure turns out to be a deadly artifact that could destroy the universe.

SyFy posts 15 Minutes of their upcoming 2014 show "Helix"

It's a new year and a new start for many things... And Syfy and Star Trek/ Battlestar Galactica producer Ronald D. Moore are about to present something interesting for viewers who thrive on Science Fiction and Thriller, as a brand new series by Cameron Porsandeh makes its way to television this month with the aptly named title "Helix".

Headlined by actors Billy Campbell and Hiroyuki Sanada, Helix tells the story of a group of scientists from the Center for Disease Control who travel to a research facility in the Artic to investigate a possible outbreak, only to find themselves caught in a terrifying situation that will lead to "mankind's salvation of total annihilation". Imagine The Thing meets Prometheus meets The Walking Dead, and you've got some interesting material and tension to work with here as man's tampering with science leads to devastating consequences.

The Matrix franchise directors, The Wachowskis, have presented their next film venture in trailer form that's coming Summer next year, and it stars Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, and Sean Bean.

Looper teaser trailer appears!



What if time-travel existed in the black market and it allowed assassins to do jobs and get rich instantly? That's the basic premise behind the upcoming Tri-Star Pictures science-fiction film called "Looper", starring none other than Inception and The Dark Knight Rises actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Playing a hired gun named Joe who kills people sent by the mob from the future, the young man's life will be sorely tested and changed forever, when his own employees send his own future self (played by Bruce Willis) back for him to kill! It's a science fiction thriller not to be missed!
