Donald Glover will voice Miles Morales in "Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors"
Looks like Miles Morales is finally going to be played by someone who's wanted to play Spider-Man for a long time, and the casting couldn't be perfect to boot since he's the actor who inspired the creation of the character in the first place.
According to USA Today and CBR, Community alum Donald Glover is going to provide the voice of Miles in the upcoming new season of Disney XD's Ultimate Spider-Man series in "Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors". Glover, who dressed up as Spidey in the show, inspired writer Brian Michael Bendis to create the new webslinging hero for the Ultimate Spider-Man comics following the death of Peter Parker in that universe. Now, it comes full circle, and Glover will voice the role in the show and meet other Spider-Men in the process during the "Spider-Verse" story arc that will play out in the season.
The brand new season of "Ultimate Spider-Man" premieres on August 31 on Disney XD.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Adrianne Palicki is Mockingbird
A well-know character from the pages of Hawkeye, S.H.I.E.L.D, and The Avengers is coming to the small screen and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as The Hollywood Reporter has reported that G.I.Joe: Retaliation star and actress Adrianne Palicki is going to play the role of Bobbi Morse, better known as the superheroine Mockingbird!
No stranger to fans of Avengers, Mockingbird is the one-time wife and love interest of Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye (played by Jeremy Renner in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies), and is one of the founding members of the short-lived second Avengers group, the West Coast Avengers. She's also worked with S.H.I.E.L.D, and upon her return after Secret Invasion, she's become another reliable member of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Her appearance in the second season of the Clark Gregg/ Agent Phil Coulson starring Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is extremely exciting news to Marvel fans, and should be a good addition to get fans to see the second season of the show! For more information, visit the source post at THR!
Could we see a Hawkeye/ Mockingbird team-up in the future? Who knows... But it would be AWESOME if it happens!

Arrow and The Flash will have a two-hour crossover event; Wentworth Miller cast as Captain Cold
Come this fall on The CW, Oliver Queen/ Stephen Amell and Barry Allen/ Grant Gustin will be busy with their respective adventures as Arrow starts its third season and The Flash debuts its very first run.
But both heroes will also apparently have time to chat and interact once more, as news has it that come the eighth episodes of both shows, Arrow and The Flash will have a "two-hour crossover event" that literally sees the makings of a "Brave and the Bold" team-up that DC Comics fans and viewers will definitely enjoy, if the previously released "Don't Blink" teaser for The Flash wasn't enough to give a taste of that potential prospect that's now going to be a reality. For more on the story, visit the source post at Comic Book.com.
In related Flash news and also according to producer Andrew Kreisberg, Arrow supporting character Felicity Smoak (played by Emily Bett Rickards) will be appearing in Episode 4 of the spinoff series, supposedly to visit Barry, which will certainly be interesting now that the latter's out of his coma and this will be the first time both characters see each other after Season 2.
Finally, Prison Break and Resident Evil Retribution star Wentworth Miller has been cast as one of The Flash's most well known adversaries - Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold.
The character is slated to appear in the same episode Felicity will be in, and may perhaps return in future episodes down the line. For more information, visit the source post at Comic Book.com.

The Flash: William Sadler to play Metamorpho character Simon Stagg
Looks like another DC Universe character has been tapped for the growing DC TV Universe, and it kind of clues in that another heroic character that was a member of the Justice League will likely make his appearance sooner or later down the line.
Roswell and The Shawshank Redemption actor William Sadler has been cast to play Simon Stagg, a character associated with the elemental hero Metamorpho, in the upcoming Arrow spinoff series The Flash! A picture of Sadler, standing next to a billboard of his character, has appeared on the actor's official Twitter, and one has to wonder how this man will play his part in the series, which stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/ The Flash. For more information, visit the source post at Comic Book.com.
The Flash begins its run in The CW on October 7.

Arrow: Stephen Amell posts Day 2 shooting teaser set pic for Season 3
It's hard not to get excited about Stephen Amell's return for the upcoming third season of "Arrow", and the star himself is doing a lot of teasing for what's coming up for his new adventures as as Oliver Queen/ The Arrow in the brand new set of episodes.
In his official Facebook page, the star has posted a picture him in full costume, standing and hanging out in what looks to be a boxing ring with the words "Day 2" as his only entry to this teaser. What it could mean is anybody's guess, but the Ferris Air logo doesn't go unnoticed either, and fans of Green Lantern know how it connects to Hal Jordan and his lady love, Carol Ferris.
Will a new character appear then, and is it a hero or a villain? Some think it may be the debut of the villainous Sportsmaster, or even...
Ted Grant. Wildcat. That would SOMETHING.
Also if you haven't heard the news, Stephen's own cousin Robbie Amell has been cast as Ronnie Raymond, aka one-half of the hero Firestorm for the upcoming spinoff superhero TV Series, The Flash!
Arrow returns with Season 3 on The CW on October 8!

Arrow: Brandon "Superman" Routh is now Ray "The Atom" Palmer for Season 3
Looks like Justice is coming back for Brandon Routh... As Deadline and ComicBook.com have reported the good news that the former "Superman" actor is now tapped to play Ray Palmer, aka the size-changing superhero called The Atom, who'll make an appearance in the third season of The CW's hit superhero TV Series, Arrow!
The news is fascinating and great for fans who enjoyed Routh but didn't get to see much of his talents flourish after starring in the semi-reboot Superman sequel film "Superman Returns" in 2006 as the titular character. After Warner Bros. decided not to push through with the direction the movie made and rebooted everything that resulted in Henry Cavill taking over as Superman for 2013's "Man Of Steel", Routh literally was left to do other TV and movie roles, with one of his recent last films being Dylan Dog: Dead of Night.
Now, it appears that #JusticeForBrandonRouth has indeed arrived and he is back in the DC Universe in a new heroic role. The details state that from the 14 episodes he'll be appearing in the third season, Ray Palmer will be the new figurehead behind Queen Consolidated, and will interact with Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen and Emily Bett Rickard's Felicity Smoak. How that will play out and work, we'll just have to wait and see when Arrow hits on October 8th!

Arrow: Devon Aoki as Katana, Peter Stormare as Vertigo, and "Big Things" teased to come on SDCC '14
Big things are coming for the upcoming third season of Arrow, and it involves two DC Comics Characters, a hero and a villain, who will be well-known to fans of a certain Dark Knight hero and the emerald archer himself, as well as star Stephen Amell teasing away for the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con 2014.
After introducing a ton of characters in the show and opening the floodgates for what can very well be a DC TV Universe that interconnects with future shows (like that of The Flash), Season 3 of Arrow plans to introduce a well-known heroic face in the form of Katana, who will be played by Devon Aoki. Those who've read the comics know she is associated with Batman, and has served as a member of The Outsiders as well as the Birds of Prey. Aoki previously had roles in the likes of Frank Miller's Sin City, as well as playing Kasumi for the live-action film adaptation of the popular Tecmo fighting game franchise, Dead or Alive. For more information, visit the source post at Coming Soon.
The next bit of interesting casting news is that actor Peter Stormare, who played Lucifer in Keanu Reeve's 2005 film Constantine, has been cast as Werner Zytle, aka THE Count Vertigo. This is not to be confused with "The Count", whom Oliver eliminated in Season 2 and who was played by Seth Gabel. This version of Vertigo will be closely associated with his comic book counterpart, and should be an interesting new enemy for The Arrow to face in the new season. For more information, visit the source post at Comic Book.com.
Finally, Stephen Amell has promised that "Big Things" will come in SDCC '14, but teased nothing more than that he will be there for the Arrow Panel discussion on Friday via his official Facebook page. For more info, visit the source post at Comic Book.com.
Arrow is slated to return with Season 3 on October 8 on The CW.
