PlayStation and Naughty Dog Officially Announce The Last Of Us Part II Remastered for PS5

 

Long rumored and speculated by fans since the release of “The Last Of Us Part I”, PlayStation and Naughty Dog have now officially revealed that the 2020 sequel “The Last Of Us Part II” is getting remastered for the PlayStation 5 - and it will arrive just as the new year begins this January 19!

In addition to new modes and enhanced graphics, those who already own TLOU Part II can upgrade to the Remastered edition on PS5 for $10. NECA reveals The Last of Us Part II Ultimate Joel and Ellie 2-Pack Set

 

One of the most emotional and grittiest video games ever made is getting the action figure treatment from NECA Toys! Naughty Dog and PlayStation Studios' "The Last of Us Part II" will finally be getting some 7" figures in the form of the Ultimate Joel and Ellie 2-pack set, and this surrogate father and daughter pair from the 2020 sequel will be released some time in June 2022!

Reminder: The Last of Us Part II FINALLY arrives tomorrow

Tomorrow is June 19 - which is the official worldwide release date of Naughty Dog's long awaited sequel game "The Last of Us Part II". Seven years after the release of Neil Druckmann's seminal post-apocalyptic survival horror adventure story, it's been a long time coming to see what happens next in the story of a world torn apart by a fictional Cordyceps fungus - which turns infected in cannibalistic beasts. Players followed protagonists Joel and Ellie as they travel cross country through what's left of the United States - traversing harsh environments, battling the Infected, as well as other desperate survivors with different morals and objectives.

Five years later after the events of the first game, we return to Wyoming, Jackson and see a grown up Ellie - who is in a personal mission and quest to find a mysterious group she has come into conflict with.

"Chernobyl" director will direct HBO's "The Last of Us" Pilot Episode

Fans of "The Last Of Us" are going to get a solid director behind the pilot of the upcoming HBO TV Series adaptation, as Comic Book.com reports that "Chernobyl" series helmer Johan Renck has confirmed he is attached to the project. Renck will also serve as executive producer for the show, and will reteam with his collaborator on the former series in Craig Mazin.

While no word or details have been given on when the TV Series will air, the sequel game in The Last of Us Part II is due for Playstation 4 on June 19.

Sony puts new dates for The Last Of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima

Video game fans and Playstation users who were understandably disappointed by the delays caused by the corona virus pandemic are going to be pleasantly surprised and pleased, as Sony has confirmed via their official Playstation Blog that Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us Part II" and Sucker Punch Productions "Ghost of Tsushima" are now getting brand new release dates and coming sooner than expected!

As posted by Herman Hulst Head of Worldwide Studios, SIE:

"As we begin to see an ease in the global distribution environment, I am pleased to confirm that The Last of Us Part II will arrive on June 19. And Ghost of Tsushima will follow on July 17. "

And there we have it. June reunites us with Ellie and the post-apocalyptic world of TLOU, and July will see players take on one of the last samurai of Tsushima island. All coming to Playstation 4.

 "Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors. When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions."

 The Last Of Us Part II will be released exclusively for Playstation 4 on February 21, 2020.

At long last, Naughty Dog and Playstation have FINALLY confirmed the released date of one of the most anticipated games - as Ellie will return as the main protagonist for “The Last Of Us Part II” this coming February. Revealed during Sony’s “State of Play” stream where gaming reveals and news bits are given to fans and the public, Naughty Dog showed a short new trailer and also flashed the released date as 2.21.2020.

And WHAT A GAMEPLAY TRAILER IT WAS. Taking place five years after the events of the first game, "The Last Of Us Part II" shows us an older teenaged Ellie as she dances, finds a new love interest, and survives the harsh post-apocalyptic world filled with all kinds of dangers - from "The Infected" to other groups who do not hesitate to kill and steal for their own survival.

It's Halloween season, and the past weekend has been good to Playstation fans and users who are looking forward to some "trick or treat" goodies from Sony at this year's Paris Games Week event at France - as Sony Computer Entertainment and their partners have released a number of interesting trailers for games that are projected to be released through 2018!
