Tetsuya Nomura says FF VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III were announced too early

This month's E3 event had a lot of reveals and new trailers to get gamers around the world excited for what's to come later this year and beyond, but expectedly there were a few things that did not get a chance to make their presence felt - among them news and updates about Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII Remake.

According to a report by game blog VG 24/7 and Italian site Multiplayer, game director Tetsuya Nomura, who's also directing the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III, says that both games were announced too early. Comparing to other companies who announce their games when they're almost or close to completion, Nomura states that pressure contributed to Square Enix announcing them.

"In our case, we receive pressure from the fans even when we do not announce anything. They’re always asking us ‘are you working on this?’ or ‘why don’t you make a sequel for that?'” said Nomura. “Even after the announcement, the situation does not change, because then they’ll move onto asking us ‘when will it release?’ or ‘when will you show a new trailer?'"

Nomura also added that rumors also contributed to them revealing the games immediately.

“I am well aware of the fact that we announced it too early, but even in the industry, word was beginning to spread that we were working on the game, so we just decided not to keep it more secret and officially reveal it,” added Nomura.

And there it is. While Kingdom Hearts III has a release date of January next year for the PS4 and Xbox One, FF VII Remake is still the big question.

E3 2018: Capcom reveals the first teaser and announcement trailers for "Resident Evil 2 Remake"!

At long last, one of the most requested video game sequels ever made is FINALLY getting the remastered remake it deserves next year! After announcing three years ago that they would be doing it and making the game following the success of the "Resident Evil Remake" and "Resident Evil Zero" rereleased ports for last and current generation systems, Capcom has officially revealed the first teaser and announcement footage for "Resident Evil 2 Remake" at Sony's E3 Playstation showcase for E3 2018 - remaking the 1998 classic for a new generation of gamers and revisiting the Survival Horror tale of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield as they encounter zombies and other biological weapon horrors while trying to escape the city of the dead!

Shown at Sony's E3 2018 Showcase with a cleverly made teaser trailer revealing the first cinematic footage of the remake (and an original Playstation easter egg), we revisit highlights of the "Raccoon City Incident" - which sees Leon and Claire seeking sanctuary in the Raccoon Police Department yet finding horrific nightmares and monstrosities to deal with instead.

It's also great to see Leon, Claire, Sherry, and the gang back sporting some updated outfits (and Leon's iconic R.P.D. uniform returns), though it's a safe bet Capcom will be releasing more info in the coming months ahead as the game is set for an early 2019 release.
