Three years into its lifespan and just in time for the upcoming holiday season, Sony and PlayStation have officially revealed the brand new look and slim models for the PlayStation 5 - which according to the PlayStation Blog have
been "reduced in volume by more than 30%, and weight by 18% and 24% compared to the previous models", plus an updated 1TB SSD internal storage to boot.
The brand new models will still come in two versions customers can choose from - the standard disc version which allows physical media and Blu-Ray discs to be played, while the digital version has the option for users to add an Ultra HD Blu-Ray Disc Drive - which will be sold separately.

As revealed at the end of their livestream event presentation that promised to showcase "The Future of Gaming", Sony finally showcased their next generation unit in the Playstation 5 - a white and black system with all the finishings of a sleek new space gadget you can't to test run. It comes in two versions - one with a Blu-Ray drive and a Digital only version, and both will have the brand new DualSense controller. Check out the hardware reveal.

Delivering the first look at the hardware also meant teasing the games and exclusives that are coming to the system, and we got a great look at those titles - some of which are featured here with their very own trailers.
First off and definitely an AMAZING REVEAL after the announcement of a Grand Theft Auto V re-release that started the show - Insomniac Games is following up on their awesome 2018 video game in "Marvel's Spider-Man" with the next chapter in the saga - "Spider-Man: Miles Morales"!

As the title implies - you will control and guide the new kid on the block in Miles Morales, as he gets his iconic black and red costume and swings into action as a new Spider-Man under Peter Parker's tutelage. This will be a Launch Title for the PS5 and hits this Holiday 2020!

After leaks surfaced online that the direction of the series would once again follow in the footsteps of 2017's Resident Evil VII, Capcom did the reveal and officially confirmed Resident Evil VII - Styled as "VILLAGE" in the teaser and featuring the return of Ethan Winters and Chris Redfield. Also harkening back to an RE4 style of remote village and castle atmosphere, the game goes first person again and feels more horror centered - foregoing the zombies for werewolves and other supernatural monstrosities.

And in another big surprise that will get fans of another 2017 game up in arms, Aloy returns and the world overrun by machines is explored even further as "Horizon: Forbidden West" is coming to PS5 next year.
Along with other awesome reveals like Deathloop, Shinji Mikami's Ghostwire: Tokyo, Hitman III, and new IP's Pragmata by Capcom and Returnal by Sony Worldwide Studios, the future of gaming looks set and all we need is a release date and price point. Game on Sony and waiting on those details as we look forward to the launch of the PS5 this holiday season!
Video game fans and Playstation users who were understandably disappointed by the delays caused by the corona virus pandemic are going to be pleasantly surprised and pleased, as Sony has confirmed via their official Playstation Blog that Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us Part II" and Sucker Punch Productions"Ghost of Tsushima" are now getting brand new release dates and coming sooner than expected!
As posted by Herman Hulst Head of Worldwide Studios, SIE:
"As we begin to see an ease in the global distribution environment, I am pleased to confirm that The Last of Us Part II will arrive on June 19. And Ghost of Tsushima will follow on July 17. "
And there we have it. June reunites us with Ellie and the post-apocalyptic world of TLOU, and July will see players take on one of the last samurai of Tsushima island. All coming to Playstation 4.
Teased to the world at this year’s Consumer Electronic’s Show, Sony unveiled their official logo for their next generation PlayStation console, aka the “PS5” - which is slated to hit this Holiday 2020. While not much has been revealed for the much anticipated ninth generation video game system, the Japanese media and entertainment giant did tease that the console would support 8k graphics, be backwards compatible with PS4 games, have super fast SSD’s to cut load times, and a tweaked new controller that swaps the rumble technology for haptic feedback tech and “adaptive triggers”, in addition to a new CPU and GPU as reported by The Verge.

It's official - the next Playstation is coming sooner than you think!
Announced at their official blog site for their popular video game console, Sony has confirmed some details for the upcoming "Playstation 5" - including new "haptic technology" and adaptive triggers that will be part of the new features that we can expect from the next generation console. Most important of all, the PS5 will be launching on Holiday season 2020 - which will be seven years after the launch of the Playstation 4 and 25 years after the release of the original Playstation.

There's still A LOT we don't know about Hideo Kojima's newest and most ambitious looking video game called "Death Stranding", but last week's E3 2018 show gave fans and viewers another look into the weird yet awesome looking game - which stars Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and now Lea Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner. The newest gameplay demo teases a lot of supernatural and sci-fi elements, including Reedus' character Sam Porter Bridges literally delivering a baby amidst a field of ghostly spectres.

At this year's Game Developers Conference, Rocksteady Studios has revealed new screenshots and a look at the titular villain that is the "Arkham Knight" in their upcoming final entry to the Batman: Arkham series - "Batman: Arkham Knight".
The villain in question looks to be an armored and anarchic twisted version of Batman... And uses firearms as shown in one screenshot (which you can see via Superherohype), to deal punishment to his adversaries. How he fits and what he does won't be fully fleshed out until the game arroves for PS4,Xbox One, and PC later this year, but you can look at the exclusive interview video Sony Playstation has put up.
