The Dark Knight Rises Second Trailer to appear with Sherlock Holmes 2!

November's finally here, and there's some good news for fans anxiously waiting for Christopher Nolan's next Batman flick, The Dark Knight Rises!

Via Batman-On-Film and Comic Book Movie, there's a report going that a new trailer will be attached to the next Guy Ritchie directed Sherlock Holmes film, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows! Now Warner Bros. is giving people a reason to catch the movie besides seeing the movie for more Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law detective action, and that's now all. Remember that a 6 minute Prologue is going to be attached with IMAX screenings of the next Mission Impossible film, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol the same month Sherlock Holmes 2 comes out, so December is going to be a BIG TEASER MONTH for Batman fans! Sherlock Holmes 3 gets Iron Man 3 screenwriter Drew Pearce

Sherlock Holmes 2 is still due this December in theaters, but Warner Bros. has already gone ahead and tapped a writer for the next installment!

Looks like Robert Downey Jr. will be getting the same screenwriter for his new sequels in the Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes franchises, as Drew Pearce has been hired by Warner Bros. to pen the story for the British sleuth's next adventure. The story was reported by The Hollywood Reporter and posted at Superherohype, so it's amusing to note the Downey's getting the same writer who's penning the script for Iron Man 3, which is due on May 2013 and directed by Shane Black. Sherlock Homes 2 Update: Two new banner posters released!

Via Superherohype, Warner Bros. has released two new banner posters for their upcoming Guy Ritchie directed Sherlock Homes' sequel - Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows! The new one sheets spotlight none other than Robert Downey Jr. as Holmes and Jude Law as Dr. Watson respectively, as each man poses sideways and clings on to a weapon, with the cities of Paris and London in the background.

There's Sherlock Holmes himself, with the Eiffel Tower clearly seen in the back.

And here's his good chap and partner, Dr. Watson, with Big Ben this time on the display.

Yahoo! Movies, Slash Film, and Superherohype have featured two new posters released by Warner Bros. for the upcoming Sherlock Holmes sequel "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows"! Once again directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson respectively, the new movie finds the duo taking up their latest case as they cross wits and paths with Holmes' new archnemesis, Professor Moriarty (played by Jared Harris). The first poster, featured above, has Holmes holding a pistol with Moriarty in the background. The second one sheet has Watson on the foreground this time, while new leading lady Noomi Rapace is in the back playing her role of Sim.

Also, don't forget to note that the first trailer for this movie MAY appear with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II this week, alongside another rumored teaser trailer debut for The Dark Knight Rises! The Dark Knight Rises Update: Teaser Trailer and Poster rumored to be debut next week

Movie news and blog sites Slash Film and Superherohype posted this interesting rumor. Apparently, with the release of the final Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 next week, Warner Bros. may attach the long awaited teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan's third Batman flick, The Dark Knight Rises, along with it! Nothing has been confirmed at this point, but it would totally make sense if that were the case. Since filming is already underway for the next Bat-movie, a teaser should pose as no problem given the style and method Nolan uses in making his films. The past two Batman movies had teasers that made use simple dialogue and footage/ logo sequences, so one has to wonder how the one for TDKR will be made. Also rumored to be released is a teaser poster for the film as well, so we'll just leave it up to fate if WB will truly add this long awaited first look at the next adventure of Bruce Wayne's alter ego to the last installment of Harry Potter's adventures. Slash Film and Superherohype have posted a video courtesy of the guys of Entertainment Tonight, who have made their first exclusive "behind-the-scenes" visit to the set of Sherlock Holmes 2. The sequel, once again starring Robert Downey Jr. as the eccentric titular character and sleuth, once again pairs up with Jude Law, who also reprises his role as his friend and partner Doctor Watson. Directed again by Guy Ritchie and set one year after the events of the first film, Holmes and Watson must overcome all odds to chase after their new nemesis, Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris), while also contending with other faces, namely a new female acquaintance and Holmes' own older brother, Mycroft. Sherlock Holmes 2 Update: First Official Pic is up!

Slash Film has just posted what appears to be the first official picture from Sherlock Holmes 2! The sequel to 2009's Christmas adventure that is once again directed by Guy Ritchie will have actors Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law reprising their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson respectively. Noomi Rapace will be joining the cast as a French gypsy, while Jared Harris will be taking on the role of Holmes' nemesis, Professor Moriarty. Stephen Fry on the other hand takes the big brother role as Holmes' older brother, Mycroft, and Rachel McAdams may reprise her role of Irene Adler, Sherlock's love interest in the last film, though that's still subject to change. At this point, production of the sequel is still rolling, and more updates will still be on the way before the film's impending release on December next year. Sherlock Holmes 2 Update: Photos from the set via ComingSoon!

Movie news sites ComingSoon and Screen Rant have unveiled the first set photos of "Sherlock Holmes 2", which brings Robert Downey Jr. back in the titular role, along with Jude Law returning as his partner, Dr. Watson. Rachel McAdams is also rumored to return as Irene Adler, albeit in a smaller role than last time.

Directed once again by Guy Ritchie, the film will pick up where the first film left off, as Holmes attempts to outwit and challenge the new arch-nemesis he made in the first movie in the form of Professor Moriarty, who will be played by actor Jared Harris.
