The Dark Knight Rises: Spoofs/ Parodies of the theatrical trailer

Since it was released officially online earlier this week, the latest trailer of The Dark Knight Rises has been getting some pretty crafty spoofs and parodies.

Here's the "sweded" version, which is from Bryan Harley and friends... the same guys who made the sweded Avengers movie trailer spoof!

Humor: The Incredible Hulk Family Guy Spoof

A few days ago, I encountered a post over at io9 highlighting a segment from one of the latest episodes of Family Guy. It has that evil boy genius, Stewie Griffin, recreating the entire intro of the late 70's Marvel show "The Incredbile Hulk". As you can imagine, Stewie plays the late Bill Bixby's role of Dr. David Banner, while his father, Peter Griffin, steps in to play the part of the monstrous Hulk that was made famous by legendary bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno. Suffice to say, the whole spoof was totally hilarious and awesome. Check it here!

And here's the original for comparison!

Watch the South Park Inception parody "Insheeption"!

I don't get to watch a lot of South Park nowadays, but fortunately, the web, Screen Rant, and the show's official website have served up some hilarious new bits to serve up, and it involves parodying a certain movie by director Christopher Nolan - Inception! In the 205th episode of South Park called "Insheeption", the satirical comedy show takes a stab at last July's hit flick, and watch the chaos unravel in a dream within a dream! You can watch the full episode via the official South Park website here!

Ever wondered what it's like to have a Street Fighter as a roommate? Well, look no further. Be warned though - This video contains EXPLICIT LANGUAGE, so viewer discretion is advised.XD

Street Fighter: Roommates

I LOL'd at this one. Lesson of the story: Be careful when picking a dragon punching playboy as a roommate.XD

Mega 64 Spoofs Batman Arkham Asylum!

Anything Batman related is where it's at, and when it comes to Batman: Arkham Asylum, that game redefined what it means to take on the role of the Dark Knight in the world of videogames. I loved playing that game with a passion. Exploring the house of the criminally insane and challenging each and everyone of the Joker's goons put you in the spot to be Gotham's greatest defender, and just being Batman deserves a round of applause from fans everywhere. It's been over half a year since that game came out, and with a Game Of The Year edition already on shelves, videogame comedy group Mega64 decides to spoof what I consider one of the best games of 2009, resorting to their usual tomfoolery and silly antics in public of course! Check it!

Shout Out Some "Heavy Rain"!

Any of you folks play Heavy Rain? If you did, you'll probably have a kick out of this one. Seeing as how this is supposed to be dramatic themed video game full of depression and stuff, I'm quite pleased that somebody had the smarts to make a video circling on the one thing screaming on top of players heads when we recount our initial experience with certain chapters starring lead protagonist Ethan Mars. Don't get me wrong, I like the game a lot, but it sets itself up for some humorous moments. Check it:

Heavy JASON!

Now you know. Can anyone shout "JASON" and "SHAUN"! that much?

And no... I won't spoil who the Origami Killer is in the game, just in case you were wondering.XD

Van Damme The Street Fighter!XD

Everyone remembers Jean Claude Van Damme and Street Fighter, and some would probably want to forget about how one of the most popular video game franchises of all time ended up getting a comical film adaptation such as this. How Capcom sanctioned this movie is beyond me until now, but it wasn't until The Legend Of Chun-Li came out last year that I found renewed interest and appreciation for this flick. Compared to the latter film, this still remains a cult classic for its goofiness and martial arts mayhem, and it also happens to be the last film of the late great Raul Julia, who did well playing the megalomaniac villain, General M.Bison.

Now, those who wished for a JCVD film with a "Street Fighter kick" to it will probably get the next best thing here in this spoof I found in You Tube. Using scenes and clips from another Van Damme classic, "Lionheart", "TheVanDammeCreator2009" presents this awesome video that splices this particular movie with SF sound effects and lifebars. Now you can finally see the SF movie you've always wanted to see - VAN DAMME KICKING ASS AND TAKING NAMES!!!

This is awesome and epic in many levels... YOU WIN!!!

Marvel/DC Spider-Man Reboot Parody!

Now that the Spider-Man film franchise is getting the reboot treatment, a lot of reactions are pouring out from the woodwork, ranging from positive comments to sad expressions from devoted fans of the Sam Raimi directed films. We all know that "500 Days Of Summer" director Marc Webb will be helming the new direction, but the rest of the details still remain ominous and in development limbo, with the only sure thing being that Peter Parker's going back to High School. Those of you who remember the Marvel/ DC spoof vids on You Tube will be pleased to know that the guys behind the series have created their own take on the Spidey reboot news, and my oh my, what a surprise we see here! Check out this hilarious parody!

All I can say is... I'M THE G#$%@ SPIDER-MAN! LOL!!!

"Remembering" Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li...

Everybody knows how Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li turned out, and well... it was REALLY disappointing no matter how you looked at it. Even with the sexy "Lana Lang" Smallville actress Kristin Kreuk highlighting that movie as Chun-Li, she didn't exactly play the part fans know and love, not to mention all of the wasted talent and acting utilized in the film (including Mortal Kombat's own Robin Shou!) . Like I said, it made the 1994 JCVD Street Fighter film look way better, and if that's not enough of an indication of how bad the film was, remember to watch out for Chris Klein as Nash... 'nuff said. For visual references, you should probably check the trailer out, to know how "real pain looks in the big screen":

Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li Trailer

That was... "something else". The plot literally shoots off from the Street Fighter mythos, and with the exception of the characters' names, all of them are nothing like their video game counterparts. In fact, a clip in You Tube demonstrates how badly things would go if actual "fighting game physics" were injected into the movie. Go and check this spoof commercial out:

Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li "Fighting Clip"

Poor Kristin got beat down... it's too much.

The Game I'l Never Be Able To Play...

We all know about the legendary Manny Pacquaio vs Rick Hatton fight... but what if we could play it in a real fighting game? No, I'm not talking about Fight night Round 4. No... something better that I wish was an actual game!

Now you know why.XD FIGHT!XD
