San Diego Comic-Con week's beginning,

Peter Jackson via
the latter's Facebook page have released the first and official
Comic Con poster for the third and final installment of
The Hobbit Trilogy -
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
Seen above of course is
Bard the Bowman (Luke Evans)... Readying himself to face the the threat to his home of
Laketown in the form of the great dragon named
Smaug (Benedict Cumberpatch)... Who is about to unleash fire, fury, and brimstone on the quiet little trading village. He will fulfill his destiny in this last film to be helmed by Jackson, which is a prequel to the epic The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and depicts the adventures of the titular hobbit
Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), the wizard
Gandalf (Ian McKellen), and a company of dwarves, who journeyed to the
Misty Mountains and
Dwarven Kingdom to reclaim their homeland from the vicious creature.
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is slated for release in the US on December 17, 2014.
