Welcome back! It's been another extended hiatus for this blog... But it's back just in time for the 50th annual Comic-Con International, aka San Diego Comic-Con or SDCC 2019! We can expect a lot of previews, exclusives, and news hitting the interwebz in the next few days... And now we'll start with one of the first highlights - The Arrowverse or DC on the CW gets the spotlight on the now monthly Entertainment Weekly magazine!
As all the shows of the Arrowverse get renewed for their respective new seasons beginning this fall - one is ultimately walking into the sunset and that is the universe's flagship show "Arrow". As announced by star Stephen Amell and The CW, Oliver Queen's journey will be coming to an end after eight long seasons, and that will mix up with the rest of the shows with the upcoming "Crisis of Infinite Earths" event that will also begin at fall this year. The Entertainment Weekly issue will focus on the impact and influence Arrow has made to inspire the creation of its namesake TV Universe which birthed The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, adopted Supergirl, and brought along newcommer Batwoman. Nothing lasts forever indeed, and during the San Diego Comic-Con panel for AMC's "The Walking Dead", series main cast member and Rick Grimes actor Andrew Lincoln confirmed that the upcoming ninth season would be his last playing the former Sheriff's Deputy turned zombie apocalypse survivor and leader to a new generation of humanity rebuilding from the ashes. In the TV Series, Grimes is fulfilling the wishes of his late son Carl, who was killed off last season due to the departure of actor Chandler Riggs from the show.
Now time-skipping to a point after the events of "All-Out War" - the communities of Alexandria, The Sanctuary, The Kingdom, and The Hilltop struggle to co-exist and survive under the leadership of Rick and his allies - but it's easier said than done as the SDCC' 18 trailer shows that there are inner conflicts and demons that still need to be confronted by the survivors, as well as a new threat besides the living dead.

Looks like Sony Pictures is trying to stay faithful to the look of a certain fan favorite Marvel and Spider-Man villain getting his own solo movie this year, asEntertainment Weeklyhas released a couple of new photos for "Venom" - the alter ego of Eddie Brock who is played by veteran Hollywood actor Tom Hardy. The new image shows Venom grinning in his traditional scary teeth smile, and is part of EW's Comic-Con Preview issue highlighting several other comic book and popculture films set to make waves in the annual international convention.
With the 2017 edition of the San Diego Comic Con done and gone, there was much news and updates in the popular culture and hobby scene. Included among those updates is a LOT for Marvel Studios - including concept posters and art for Ant-Man and The Wasp, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Thor: Ragnarok, and Avengers: Infinity War.

With SDCC '17 in full swing and gearing fans of comics, movies, television, and just about anything fun in pop culture ready for what comes next, AMC held their much anticipated panel discussion for "The Walking Dead" and featured the stars and crew behind the critically acclaimed zombie drama TV Series. In addition to Andrew Lincoln and the cast and showrunners like Greg Nicotero on the stage, everyone was on deck to talk about Season 8 and what to expect - which was covered by Comic Book.com in their live blog update.
Besides the new promo poster released that promises "All Out War" between Rick Grimes and his allies against Negan and The Saviors, the new Comic-Con 2017 Trailer has been released online. Check it out and see what to expect of the battle, and of the future.
Revealed by Entertainment Weeklyduring an exclusive story piece detailing what fans can expect from the next season of the show, a new photo showing actress Juliana Harkavy in a new Black Canary costume has surfaced online - giving fans a sneak peek of what to expect from "Arrow" Season 6! As the successor to the mantle once worn by Laurel Lance, Dinah Drake comes into her own with a new tactical inspired suit complete with a new Bo Staff, and it's confirmed that she's one of the lucky survivors to make it out of the explosive finale of Arrow Season 5, which saw Oliver Queen/ Green Arrow and his friends battling Prometheus and his allies in the island of Lian Yu - which exploded and left things in a cliffhanger.
We'll find out soon enough how things turn out when Arrow returns to The CW with its sixth season on October 12. San Diego Comic-Con also happens next week, so a trailer and more teases are expected to be revealed then as well.
Coinciding with teases for San Diego Comic-Con 2017 next week, TV Guide Magazinevia their Facebook page have released the covers to their "Comic-Con Special" issue that spotlights the "DC on the CW" heroes and shows - particularly Arrow, The Flash, and Black Lightning in one cover, and the other Supergirl!
The superhero shows are expected to make an appearance at Comic-Con, which will have a ton more details on the upcoming new seasons as well. Comic Con happens from July 20 to 23.
With San Diego Comic-Con just around the corner and set to begin on next week, Entertainment Weekly has gone ahead and released the cover to their "Comic-Con 2017 Preview" issue which highlights none other than Marvel Studios' first 2018 film Black Panther - which sees Chadwick Boseman back as T'Challa/ Black Panther along with new co-stars like Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurai, and Andy Serkis. The film will be directed by "Creed" director Ryan Coogler, and is set for release on February 16 next year.
SDCC 2017 will happen on July 20 and run until July 23!
It's been quite the popculture festive weekend, as San Diego Comic Con 2016 came, saw, and brought all the kinds of goodies that fans of comics, toys, games, movies, and the like enjoy. Of course. Starting things off of course is the program that began the "Arrowverse" or "Berlantiverse" - Arrow. Now on its fifth season, Oliver Queen is now handling two huge responsibilities protecting his home of Star City - being the Green Arrow and Mayor of the town as well. However his team has all but dissolved, and now it's time to rebuild with new blood as a new villain appears - one Oliver has had a hand in creating unintentionally.

Next is the third season of the first spin-off show that has found great success as well - The Flash. After defeating Zoom last season with great personal loss and effects on his mind, Barry Allen decides to travel back in time and undo his Mother's murder at the hands of the Reverse Flash once and for all. Unfortunately this cause a huge change in the timeline that literally goes from better to worse, and a "Flashpoint" is created that ultimately shows Barry he must find a way to restore things back to the way it was.

Finally, it's Rip Hunter and his remaining team of Legends that now take on their new responsibilities as Time Masters for "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2. As a strange face representing the "Justice Society of America" arrives to warn them of danger in the future, Rip and his companions consisting of The Atom, Firestorm, White Canary, and Heatwave must do what it takes to protect all of time and humanity itself from whatever evils may come.

Not one to hide their tricks up their sleeve when you're in a big event like this year's San Diego Comic Con, Marvel Studios has released a brand new trailer and poster for their next Marvel Cinematic Universe entry in "Doctor Strange" - with the titular character played by Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch.

Doctor Strange, directed by Scott Derrickson, will be released in theaters on November 4, 2016.
With just days away until it officially releases in theaters and shows off the bad guys becoming the "Worst Heroes Ever", Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment dropped a new trailer during the "Suicide Squad" DC Films' panel that's called the "Official Comic Con Soundtrack Remix" trailer, and it has a couple of new footage to show along with the songs from the official SS OST attached in!

Justice League Special Comic-Con Footage
Justice League, once again directed by Zack Snyder, hits theaters on November 17, 2017!
After much teasing and the still lingering mystery of who exactly will go down (literally) once the show returns this Fall, AMC has officially released the Comic Con 2016 trailer to their seventh season of "The Walking Dead" - which once again features Rick Grimes and his band of survivors trying to survive the zombie apocalypse and the constant unpredictability of human threats. This time that threat has a face... And his name is Negan, as played by the very talented Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Check out the Comic Con trailer below, which was shown after the TWD Panel Presentation (via Comic Book.com) in SDCC 2016. The new season picks up right after the cliffhanger ending. Someone in Rick's group will die, and Alexandria will be forced to make a deal for "protection" with Negan's Saviours. Along the way other characters and communities will be introduced, including the other fan favorite character from the comics Ezekiel, who will be played in the show by Khary Payton.

The Walking Dead returns to television on October 23rd on AMC.
Set to have a panel presentation at this year's San Diego Comic Con this weekend with a lot of people anticipating the first trailer (if any) and more info on the movie, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment (via Gal Gadot's Facebook page) have released a brand new "Comic Con Poster" for the Gal Gadot starring "Wonder Woman" - which will be directed by Patty Jenkins and feature Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, and Robin Wright in supporting roles.
Set to debut in Cartoon Network this fall and already looking reminiscent of Batman: The Brave and the Bold while adding the iconic flair of the World's Greatest Heroes into its theme, Warner Bros. has released the first "Highlight Reel" trailer for "Justice League Action" - their brand new upcoming animated series that will feature the likes of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and a large roster of other heroes like Firestorm, Green Arrow, Vixen, and Plastic Man!
In addition to the action-packed look, Kevin Conroy is back as Batman as well as Mark Hamill voicing his nemesis The Joker. This reel, straight from #WBSDCC, just looks too much fun to ignore!
Hitting home video and digital formats later this year, a long sneak peek video of the animated movie adaptation of "Batman: The Killing Joke" has gone online, showing everyone their first glimpse of the long awaited film which features the voices of Batman: The Animated Series alum Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill - who reprise their roles as Batman and The Joker respectively.

A lot has happened in San Diego Comic-Con this, and there's no shortage of news about the upcoming new films Marvel Entertainment and Disney have for their Marvel Cinematic Universe set of films. In fact, teases and reveals were litered throughout the entire experience, starting with the slowly assempled concept character poster that unites all the players for the movie, including newcomers Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and The Vision!
Via Flicks and The City, here is the cast and crew of Avengers: Age of Ultron doing their thing and entertaining the audience with the official Panel Video for the film during Comic-Con last weekend, featuring Josh Brolin doing something "EPIC" during the event that seals his role for the MCU... As THANOS.

And then even the cast of Ant-Man also took to the stage and confirmed that Evangeline Lily of The Hobbit Trilogy fame is playing the role of Hank Pym's daughter, Hope Van Dyne.

On the final day of SDCC '14,Marvel had a few more teaser displays for the world to see, which include a BROKEN and CRACKED Captain America Shield, as revealed by Superherohype.

And while it has yet to show in theaters until a few days, James Gunn is returning for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, dated on July 28, 2017!
