Hugh Jackman pays tribute to "Logan" with new photos of his ripped old Wolverine

It's been THREE YEARS since Hugh Jackman went at it "One Last Time" and played the superhero part he made famous in the big screen as Wolverine/ Logan in the aptly titled "Logan" - the X-Men Movies spin-off film and third entry in the "Wolverine Trilogy" that sees an aged, battered, and tired Logan living in a world with lesser mutants and caring for an elderly Charles Xavier - only to be thrust back into the spotlight when he is hunted by men looking for a young girl with the same powers he has. It was the perfect send-off movie for the character who has been the centerpiece of Fox's X-Men Movies for years, and Jackman honors that legacy by sharing some new photos of his jacked up Old Man Logan with claws sheathed out via his Instagram!

X-CELLENT looking photos of the best there is. Jackman really got ripped for the role.

Directed by James Mangold, Logan was released in March 2017 and was one of the last films of 20th Century Fox's X-Men film franchise before the company was eventually bought by Disney. Jackman also co-starred with the returning Patrick Stewart as Professor X/ Charles Xavier, while a then young Dafne Keen played his daughter Laura Kinney/ X-23.

Thor: Ragnarok: GOTG's Yondu makes a surprise cameo in Deleted Scene

In what is certainly one of the most surprising cameo bits that just got revealed online and never made it into the final film, Marvel Studios' "Thor: Ragnarok" was actually supposed to have an unexpected guest appear in one of the film's more tense moments - and that's Yondu from Guardians of the Galaxy himself! Yes the leader of the Ravagers and Star-Lord's adoptive father would have just waltz in and made a scene with Hela and Skurge... And this is how the scene would have played out then and there.

Thor: Ragnarok - Yondu ‘Deleted Scene’

Actually Michael Rooker's appearance was just a "goofing around" bit that was incorporated into the deleted scenes. You can check that out and more when Thor: Ragnarok hits Blu-Ray, Ultra 4K, and DVD this coming March 6!

"Logan" nominated for "Best Adapted Screenplay" for 2018 Academy Awards

In what certainly is a WELL DESERVED nomination for what is arguably one of the best films of 2017 - 20th Century Fox and James Mangold's "Logan" has been nominated for "Best Adapted Screenplay" by The Academy for the 2018 Oscars - making it the first comic book movie in history to earn that distinction. That's quite the honor, and while it has big competition going for it against other films like "Get Out" and "The Shape of Water", this is an honor already for Hugh Jackman's final Wolverine film - which pays homage to the actor and his 17 year career as the feral X-Men character in the big screen.

Justice League: Digital and Home Video details and release dates revealed

After three months since the film was released in theaters and left fans divided over the overall presentation of the movie, Warner Bros. and DC Films have officially revealed the details and release dates for the digital and home video releases of "Justice League" - the fifth entry in the "DC Extended Universe" and one that finally unites heroes like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman in the big screen for the first time in live-action.

Via IGN, the film will be released digitally on February 13. Those looking forward to the 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD releases will get it a month afterwards on March 13. There will be no extended edition sadly (despite fan petitions for a Snyder cut), instead there will be the usual assortment of special features and a couple of deleted scenes that were not included in the theatrical release. More specifics can be read up at IGN if you need a blow by blow of what's included, as well as the price guide for physical releases like the Blu-Ray combo pack seen above.

Justice League: Blu-Ray Steelbook cover Motion Poster

Leaked online sometime during the holidays, the recently seen Blu-Ray steelbook cover for "Justice League" (by Jim Lee and Alex Sinclair) has a motion poster featured at "The Aquaman Shrine" Twitter page! This pretty much adds the smoke effects and bells and whistles to the League as they stand amidst a battlefield - ready to take on anything that comes their way to defend humanity and save the world together.

Here's the motion poster:

No official release date has been given yet for the home video release of "Justice League".

Justice League: deleted scene image of "Bruce Wayne bribing Arthur Curry" surfaces online

With Justice League finishing its theatrical run and preparing to see release in home video early next year, eyes have turned to what will be included in the deleted scenes - and one particular image from Reddit (as reported by Comic Book Movie) sees Bruce Wayne/ Batman making good on his offer to Arthur Curry/ Aquaman early on the film by literally bribing him with money on information on the Mother Boxes when he comes to the King of the Seven Sea's territory. The image is likely from the "Justice League: The Art of the Film" book, which is already out in stores.

Justice League: Possible Blu-Ray cover surfaces online

In what may certainly be the look of the home video release of one of 2017 big films, Blu-Ray Forum (as reported by Comic Book.com) has released the potential cover of the Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital release of "Justice League" - which features all six heroes of the team including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg all front and center. There's no word yet on when exactly the film will hit home video, but expect it to come in the first half of 2018.

Justice League: Blu-Ray Steelbook cover by Jim Lee surfaces online

After debuting in theaters over a month ago, Justice League has pretty much ran its course and is prepared to get ready for its inevitable "home media" release some time early next year. That being said, what looks to be the Steelbook cover for the Blu-Ray 3D and Blu-Ray release has surfaced c/o Comic Book Movie and Amazon India - and shows the entire line-up of heroes from Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg all looking around their surroundings - as drawn by DC Comics Co-Publisher and superstar artist, Jim Lee.

There's no official word yet on when the film will officially be released on Digital Media. Blu-Ray, and DVD - but the best bet is sometime on March or April 2018. The listing from Best Buy projects it for that period.

Justice League: Darkseid was cut from original ending of film according to Kevin Smith

Justice League is already three weeks "All In" in theaters, and while it has passed the $500 Million mark in the Box Office it has received mixed reviews from critics and viewers alike. This has led many to believe that Zack Snyder's original vision of the film (if not changed by WB and adding new scenes by Joss Whedon) would have featured something pretty interesting and actually expected by fans - an appearance by the big baddie from Apokalips himself, DARKSEID.

According to Kevin Smith's "Fatman on Batman" podcast - the tyrannical ruler and wielder of the Omega Sanction was supposed to appear via visions seen by a resurrected Superman who briefly turns evil because of Steppenwolf's tempting offer. Unfortunately that never came to pass in the final release, and all we get is stories of what could have been from Smith - which was reported by Newsarama and Screen Rant as well. Hopefully in the home video release we may see those things behind the scenes touched upon by Snyder and crew. Until then, it's still a long wait until this DCEU film hits Blu-Ray, Digital, and DVD.

Justice League is currently playing in theaters.

DC Films: Joe Manganiello shares his "Deathstroke" look from "Justice League" post-credits scene

Following one week after the release of Justice League in theaters, actor Joe Manganiello has released via his Twitter his look as "Slade Wilson/ Deathstroke" as seen in the after credits scene in the movie. That scene *SPOILERS* sees Slade meeting with a newly freed Lex Luthor in his yacht - both discussing the prospect about dealing with Superman and his new friends with "A League of their own".

Where Deathstroke appears next is anybody's guess, we'll just have to wait and see.

The Death of Superman: 25 Years Later and beyond

As Justice League finally plays in theaters - comic book fans will remember this particular time of November about 25 years ago as a sad and unprecedented moment in comic book history - DC Comics killing off one of their flagship characters in the Man of Steel himself - Superman. As the final issue of the eponymous storyline of the same name that ran through the four Superman titles at the time - Action Comics, Adventures of Superman, Superman: The Man of Steel, and Superman - "Superman #75" saw the Justice League of America dealing with an unstoppable monstrous beast named "Doomsday" who all but crushed every single member of the superhero team. It was left up to Superman himself to try and stop the alien creature once and for all - culminating in a showdown that saw both combatants deliver death blows to one another and the Last Son of Krypton dying in the arms of the love of his life, Lois Lane.

As a storyline, The Death of Superman sent shockwaves across the comic industry - particularly to fans of the Man of Steel over how one of the world's greatest heroes could perish and what the fallout would be in the DC Universe following his death. The Superman titles would continue and show this aftermath with "Funeral for a Friend", followed by four mysterious Supermen appearing and claiming to be the hero in "Reign of the Supermen". Finally, the one true Clark Kent/ Kal-El/ Superman did return at the end of the latter storyline - and the entire saga was collected years later and titled as "The Death and Return of Superman".

As an iconic yet sad moment in DC history, The Death of Superman was adapted into a DC Animated Movie feature and was eventually used as the final act in 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" - where Henry Cavill's Man of Steel ultimately gave his life to stop Lex Luthor's Doomsday creation. This act would inspire Ben Affleck's Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman to go and find other metahumans to form the "Justice League". How does Superman come back in the DC Extended Universe? That's for you to find out in cinemas!

Also, there's Doomsday Clock happening this week, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Supes' death and it just so happens that the Man of Steel figures in this "Watchmen" themed event and it has the word of his killer in the title. How that plays out? We shall see when the story begins on November 22nd.

Justice League is now playing in theaters.

Thor: Ragnarok: Chris Hemsworth posts Mjolnir memorial video

If you've seen Thor: Ragnarok (and you should - I enjoyed it a lot!), it's a given by now that the God of Thunder and his world has changed for the forseeable future. It's not a spoiler given the numerous trailers of the film that the Son of Odin's mighty hammer Mjolnir was destroyed by Hela, the Goddess of Death. That left our favorite Asgardian hero to rediscover himself and take on a new adventure sans Hammer.

To honor his fallen comrade of sorts, actor Chris Hemsworth has posted on his official Instagram a "Memorial Video" for Mjolnir, which should be viewed by fans.
