Jaafar Jackson Cast to Play His Iconic Uncle in Michael Jackson Biopic

 The Jackson legacy truly continues on within the family.

As reported by Deadline and posted by the musician himself on IG, Jaafar Jackson has been tapped to play his very own uncle - the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, in the upcoming biopic that will be directed by Training Day and Emancipation director Antoine Fuqua.

Jaafar, the son of Michael’s brother Jermaine Jackson, certainly has the talent and the skills to do right by his uncle’s image abd legacy. Absolutely fitting and this will definitely make the kid a star.

RIP Annie Wersching - Hollywood Actress and Tess from The Last Of Us Passes Away at 45

 

Sad news has rocked Hollywood and the video game world, as beloved American actress Annie Wersching has passed away at the age of 45 after battling an unspecified form of cancer as Variety reports.

Best known for her roles in "24" as Renee Walker, Amelia Joffe in "General Hospital", and The Borg Queen in Star Trek Picard, she had several guest appearances in popular television shows. However gamers and Naughty Dog fans will best know her for being the motion capture actress and voice behind Tess - Joel's smuggler partner and an important supporting character in the 2013 video game "The Last Of Us".

Rest in Peace Annie, and thank you for giving us so many memorable roles.

The Titans Reunite and Get a New Ongoing Series This May Under Tom Taylor

 

The Dawn of the DCU is upon us, and a younger and experienced generation of superheroes are taking over as the primary protectors the world has in the wake of the Justice League's hiatus following the events of Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths.

That of course would mean the Titans - led by Dick Grayson/ Nightwing and featuring his longtime friends and teammates in Donna Troy, Wally West/ The Flash, Beast Boy, Starfire, Cyborg, and Raven. The team has properly reformed and established their base of operations on Bludhaven with a new Titans Tower as seen in the pages of Nightwing #100. 

With Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman looking to take a break and reassess the League, they have left things in the capable hands of their proteges - and Nightwing series writer Tom Taylor will team up with artist Nicola Scott to bring these heroes out to defend humanity and the rest of the multiverse when need be.

This year, Marvel Comics will introduce a new creative team handling the adventures of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes - as writer Jed MacKay and artist C.F. Villa tackle a new roster and line-up for “The Avengers” with a relaunch of a brand new ongoing series!

Led by Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel herself, the new line-up consists of Sam Wilson Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther, Vision, and The Scarlet Witch! As detailed by Comic Book Movie, the new series will arrive this May and will be released just in time for the 60th anniversary celebration of the team’s creation!

The Avengers #1 will be released on May 17.

Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham Trailer and Release Date Revealed

 

A new DC Animated Movie is hitting digital and home video pretty soon, as Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Entertainment have released the trailer for “Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham” - based on the miniseries by Mike Mignola and Richard E. Pace with art by Troy Nixey.

After a couple of years since the second season ended and The Book of Boba Fett gave us a lead of where the series would go next, Din Djarin and Grogu truly return for another set of adventures in the third season of "The Mandalorian" - the highly successful Star Wars spin-off series that has opened up new avenues of storytelling in the Star Wars universe!

The Last Of Us - The Weeks After Trailer Released By HBO And Shows What Comes Next

 At long last, the TV Series adaptation of The Last Of Us is finally online and streaming on HBO GO. Fans and viewers are calling it a "near flawless adaptation" of the popular video game series by Naughty Dog and PlayStation, and it's hard to argue with considering I myself have watched the pilot and loved it! Wednesday Officially Gets a Season 2 on Netflix!

 

Jenna Ortega is coming back to reprise her role as the young kooky daughter of The Addams Family, as Netflix officially announces that the hit series “Wednesday” is indeed returning for a full second season!🖤

Via an interview with Tudum.com, series creators and showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Miller expressed their excitement at the news by releasing a statement to coincide with the good news:

“It’s been incredible to create a show that has connected with people across the world.  Thrilled to continue Wednesday’s tortuous journey into season two. We can’t wait to dive head first into another season and explore the kooky spooky world of Nevermore. Just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool first.”

Along with announcement comes some highlights via press release about what Wednesday has gained since it debuted on November on Netflix:

• Wednesday is now one of the most successful series ever on Netflix. It ranks #2 on the Most Popular (English) TV list with 1.237 Billion hours viewed within its first 28 days.

• More than 182 Million households have seen the series since its debut. (1.237B hours divided by 6.8 hours)

• Wednesday crossed the 1 billion hour view mark only three weeks after debut – joining Stranger Things 4 and Squid Game as the third title to reach this milestone within its first 28 days. 

• The series broke the record for the most hours viewed in a week for an English-language TV series on Netflix – not once, but twice – when it debuted in the #1 spot with a record breaking 341.23M hours viewed, and again in its second week with a staggering 411.29M hours viewed.

This February, the final film of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will finally be out digitally and for streaming platforms - as “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” comes to Disney + and will be available for those who haven’t seen the sequel directed by Ryan Coogler that honors both the legacy of the Black Panther as well as the late Chadwick Boseman!

The Last of Us HBO Series Spotlighted By The Hollywood Reporter

 

In less than two weeks, Naughty Dog and PlayStation’s survival action story about two individuals trekking a post-apocalyptic United States will finally debut its live-action TV Series adaptation - as “The Last of Us” will premiere on HBO from the creative minds of “Chernobyl” director Craig Mazin and TLOU director and game creator Neil Druckmann.

To prepare fans for the upcoming series, The Hollywood Reporter has released a new spotlight and feature on the series - which will star “Game of Thrones” alums Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel Miller and Ellie. The cast and crew discuss their expectations and experiences working on the project on the feature, and should serve as a nice preview of what fans will be getting when the series premieres starting January 15 on HBO.

The Flash Movie Promo Art Features Supergirl, Michael Keaton Batman, and Two Flashes

 

2023 has a full slate of blockbuster movies coming up - and one of them is expected to help “reboot” the very troubled DC Films slate of movies and presumably end the DC Extended Universe as we know it. That movie of course is “The Flash” - which will feature controversial star Ezra Miller in the titular role as well as Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck returning as their respective versions of Batman.

Now a new promo image has been released featuring Supergirl, Batman, and two Flashes - which is making the rounds online and hopefully helps build up momentum for the movie. The first trailer is expected to debut during this year’s Super Bowl this February, and that’s a long time coming for a film that’s supposed to debut in the middle of this year.

The Flash hits theaters this June.
