Forever The Green Arrow: Happy Birthday, Stephen Amell!

He may have hung up the hood and retired the bow and arrow, but there's no denying that Stephen Amell will always be Oliver Queen and The Green Arrow - and May 8th is the actor's Birthday! After leaving on a high note and ending his tenure as the character with the eight and final season of "Arrow" as well as the crossover "Crisis of Infinite Earths", the Canadian actor is still keeping busy with other projects and family time - always a constant presence in Facebook and his wine business Nocking Point, his charities, and of course talking with friends and fellow guests in his podcasts!

If you miss Arrow like many do, here's a deleted scene from the newly released DVD/ Blu-Ray home media release of the final season - which shows an unaired scene between Oliver and The Monitor.

ICYMI: Here's your first look at the Anti-Monitor from "Crisis on Infinite Earths"

Revealing the look of the big bad villain whose name fans of the DC Universe will know very well, The CW has released via Entertainment Weekly the very first image of LaMonica Garrett as the Anti-Monitor - who is the main antagonist of "Crisis of Infinite Earths" and is focused solely on eradicating all existence in the multiverse. Played by the same actor who also plays The Monitor in the Arrowverse, the character has already made his move and presence felt in the show, eradicating some worlds in "The Flash" and "Arrow" as they premiere and work their way to the big crossover event based on the 1985 storyline of the same name.

Crisis on Infinite Earths begins this fall on The CW.

Arrow Season 8 Poster sees the Emerald Archer ready for one last season

Shared directly from his Facebook page, Oliver Queen actor Stephen Amell signals that the curtain call for the Arrowverse’s premiere series is near, as the final season of Arrow has a new poster released, with the tagline “Heroes Fall. Legends Rise” accompanying it.

As the eight and last season for The CW show, Arrow has climbed up the ladder significantly in helping DC get a foothold in its TV based programs - creating a shared universe that began with “The Flash”, “Legends of Tomorrow”, adopting “Supergirl”, and then later this year adding Batwoman. Another show, “Black Lightning”, may get its chance to crossover with the coming event “Crisis on Infinite Earths”. That story arc begins this fall, and  Arrow’s final run of 10 episodes will factor in as this last season runs its course.

Arrow Season 8 premieres on The CW on October 15.

Smallville’s Ton Welling returns as Clark Kent/ Superman for “Crisis of Infinite Earths”

Fans of The CW’s hit Superman prequel series “Smallville” are going to be singing those lyrics from the theme “Save Me” by Remy Zero, as Deadline confirms that actor Tom Welling is reprising his role as Clark Kent/ Superman for the Arrowverse crossover “Crisis on Infinite Earths” - which will feature Stephen Amell/ Oliver Queen, Grant Gustin/ Barry Allen, Melissa Benoist/ Kara Zor-El, and the rest of the heroes in a quest to save the multiverse as well as meeting other alternate reality counterparts, heroes, and villains.

The crossover, beginning this fall season, will be the first time Welling will be reprising his role - answering the big question what happened to Clark Kent after the series finale of Smallville. “Crisis on Infinite Earths” - based in the same crossover event by DC Comics from the 1980’s, will be a five episode arc spanning Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman.

Kevin Conroy, the Voice of Batman, joins DC on the CW's "Crisis On Infinite Earths"!

Batman fans - REJOICE. Another big name has been added to the EPIC DC ON THE CW CROSSOVER EVENT coming this fall in "Crisis On Infinite Earths", and it's none other than Kevin Conroy - AKA THE VOICE OF BATMAN in "Batman: The Animated Series", its numerous spin-offs, and other forms of Batman media in film, TV, and games!

Reported by Comic Book.com, Conroy's casting comes in the heels of Brandon Routh returning to the role of Superman and Cress Williams confirming that "Black Lightning" will be part of the crossover.

His role hasn't been revealed yet... But he could be playing an aged Bruce Wayne/ Batman ala Batman Beyond (which just turned 20 years this year) or The Dark Knight Returns (Update: HE IS PLAYING OLDER BRUCE according to TV Line!). That would be AWESOME, and while the Batman from Batwoman's world hasn't been named yet - one has to wonder if Conroy will wear the Cape and Cowl somehow. If John Wesley Shipp could do 90's Flash, the folks behind Arrow and The Flash may figure something out and surprise us yet.

The Arrowverse's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" will debut this December 2019 and the crossover will run through Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman, and Legends of Tomorrow until January 2020.

SDCC '19: Arrow Season 8/ The Final Season Comic-Con Trailer

In what is certainly an exciting time for DC on the CW as they prepare for the coming of their epic "Crisis On Infinite Earths" crossover along with the rest of the returning and brand new shows in the Arrowverse, it's bittersweet to see that its flagship program "Arrow" will be taking a bow with its eighth season this year. What happens and how that adventure plays out will be told in 10 episodes that make up this final season. Check out the Comic-Con Trailer from SDCC 2019 and see a montage of past events, as well as teases of what's to come and some new outfits for characters we all know and love (like Laurel Lance from Earth Two in her new Black Canary costume).
