ICYMI: Guillermo del Toro and his picture "The Shape of Water" win big in Oscars 2018


If you haven't been up to date with the entertainment news today, the 90th annual Academy Awards (aka The Oscars) happened and there were PLENTY of notable wins! From Gary Oldman and Frances McDormand winning Best Actor and Actress respectively to "Get Out" winning Best Original Screenplay and "Disney's Coco" winning Best Animated Feature, there was no shortage of surprising and well deserved wins at this year's Academy. Yet the spotlight went to none other than Guillermo del Toro's artistic and science fiction fantasy drama love story "The Shape of Water", where the director and his film won several awards including "Best Picture" and "Best Director"!

Pacific Rim: Uprising: Japanese poster spotlights Gipsy Avenger


Set to be released in a few months time and picking up where Guillermo del Toro's stellar 2013 giant robot vs giant monster blockbuster film, Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures have released in Japan a new poster promoting "Pacific Rim: Uprising" - which features the new Jaeger called "Gipsy Avenger" and a new hero in the rebellious son of Stacker Pentecost, Jake (John Boyega of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi). The film also stars Scott Eastwood, as well as bringing back Rinko Kikuchi as Mako Mori. For more info, visit the source post at Superherohype.

GamesCom 2014: Hideo Kojima teams w/ Guillermo Del Toro for Silent Hills w/ Norman Reedus; Metal Gear Solid V comes to PC

Konami is on a roll for Gamescom 2014, and it's all thanks to Hideo Kojima.



In addition to the man himself appearing and "teasing" more of his upcoming epic that is Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain with "a demonstration" of the new abilities of the Cardboard Box, the acclaimed video game developer and leader of Kojima Productions has also confirmed his involvement in a new Silent Hill game called "Silent Hills", which he'll be working on together with "Pacific Rim" and "Hellboy" director Guillermo Del Toro, with "The Walking Dead" and Daryl Dixon actor himself Norman Reedus set to star in it! As reported in Kotaku, That "P.T" announcement that was shown in the Sony Playstation Conference was pretty much the new Silent Hill's teaser, so Kojima has surprised us once again with goodness to come.

Also, Kotaku has put up a report that pretty much confirms that Metal Gear Solid V as a whole is coming to PC and Steam



As for a release date for these titles, that has yet to be confirmed... For now.

The Strain: FX releases first trailer for Vampire TV Series


In anticipation for the brand new horror-sci-fi TV series set to debut this July, FX has released a short but pretty intense trailer for their vampire themed show "The Strain", which is based on the Guillermo del Toro trilogy of novels of the same name.

Pacific Rim: Images of international Standard and Collector's Blu-Ray packages revealed


Come later this fall, fans can finally take the Giant Robot vs Kaiju battle home.

Released in the interwebz and making the rounds in websites like Shock Til You Drop, images of the international home video release of Guillermo Del Toro's "Pacific Rim" have hit, showcasing the standard Blu-Ray 3D Combo pack and Collector's Edition sets! The former of course is shown above, with head Jaeger Gipsy Danger struggling to get up and fight, with a lone figure (Mako) standing and looking on in the cover art.

 Then comes this image of the other big one - The Collector's Edition, featuringa nice Gipsy Danger statue along with the package! For more information, visit the source post at Shock Til You Drop!

Pacific Rim: Opening and Ending titles released online


For those who have yet to catch Pacific Rim on the big screen... DO SO.

Not only is it Guillermo del Toro's Love Letter to the Giant Robot and Kaiju genres, but it also kicks ass and makes us believe in the potential movies have to see something titanic and of this magnitude happen -  And in case you needed further explaining, I posted a review about it just recently!

Now Imaginary Forces, the powers that be behind the film behind the beginning and ending sequence of the Warner Bros. and Legendary film, have released the awesome main and closing titles of the movie for the online community to view. It's truly something to behold, and those who are fans of seeing some brilliant visuals sequences, these are for you.

Pacific Rim: New "Official Main Trailer" released


If there's anyway to go EPIC this year, Warner Bros. and Guillermo Del Toro have it covered with their upcoming Giant Monsters vs Big Robots live-action film "Pacific Rim". Via their official YouTube page, the studio has released a brand new "Main Trailer" that just needs to be seen to be appreciated.

I won't say more. Just WATCH IT.

Pacific Rim: New Epic "City Battle" Poster Surfaces


As the Summer Blockbuster season begins with the release of Iron Man 3, there's plenty of great movies to look forward to in the coming months. One of them is Guillermo Del Toro's Monster vs Giant Robot flick Pacific Rim, and Warner Bros. has released a brand new epic looking poster, where the human piloted Jaeger emerges ready to stand as humanity's last defense against the Kaiju!
