Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater - New Intro and Gameplay Video Released

 


With a release date still set tentatively for 2024, Metal Gear fans are still looking at when exactly Konami will release “Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater” - the remake to the 2004 game “Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater” and featuring new graphics using the Unreal Engine 5 but still retaining the same story and voice cast used in the original.



Check out a new video released showing the intro sequence and new gameplay from the upcoming remake. Hopefully we get more info and details on this year’s Tokyo Game Show!

Hideo Kojima Announces O.D at The Game Awards, New Documentary Airing on Disney + This Spring 2024

 


If you didn’t this year’s The Game Awards, a lot of exciting announcements and reveal trailers were shown next to the awarding ceremony celebrating everything and everyone who have contributed to the video game industry.

Among the attendees of course is the visionary and creator of the “Metal Gear” franchise as well as the lead of Kojima Productions himself - Hideo Kojima. Revealing his next title and project that he’ll be co-developing with director Jordan Peele - fans and gamers got their first look at “O.D” - which will be co-developed with Microsoft Game Studios and will be turned into a game as well as a movie!


And then the next announcement that features Kojima-San is getting a documentary that will be shown on Disney + this Spring 2024 - “Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds” - which will take a look at the development of “Death Stranding” as well as the early days of Kojima Productions when it started as an independent video game developer.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 Hits Consoles and PC on October 24

 


Fans of the Metal Gear Solid franchise who have wanted to see the original games rereleased for modern platforms are finally getting their wish, as Konami has officially announced that the “Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1” is set to make its way to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on October 24!

Oscar Isaac cast as Solid Snake in Jordan Vogt-Roberts' Metal Gear Solid movie

 


The internet has exploded and we get the fitting "!" sign in our heads, as Deadline has reported that "Star Wars" Sequel Trilogy and "Dune" star Oscar Isaac has been cast as Solid Snake in the upcoming live-action Metal Gear Solid movie to be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts! The film is currently in development by Sony Pictures, and is based on the Tactical Espionage Action video game series of the same name created by Hideo Kojima that started in the original PlayStation way back in 1998.

Isaac is keeping pretty busy now that he's playing the legendary soldier who was a member of Foxhound. In addition to Snake, he was also recently tapped to play Moon Knight in the upcoming Marvel Studios TV Series for Disney +. This is definitely a good time for the Guatamelan-American actor!

No word yet on when Metal Gear Solid will be released, but we finally have a face behind Solid Snake!

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's "Metal Gear Sahelanthropus" by Sentinel unveiled


Those playing Hideo Kojima's latest and possibly final masterpiece in his critically acclaimed "Metal Gear" series with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain may already be quite familiar with the latest mech that is featured in the game, and that's none other than "Metal Gear Sahelanthropus" - the transforming bipedal weapon that is highlighted in most of the trailers of the game and then some, with the much revealing 2015 launch trailer's last moments showing what the robot's got.

Part of Sentinel's Riobot line of toys set for release on April 2016, the toy will include LED lights and will cost about 41,040 yen (aka $299)! Be sure to visit Siliconera the official website for details!

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain apparently comes this September


Looks like the cat's finally out of the bag thanks to an inadvertant leak!


As reported by Kotaku and pointed out by a NeoGAF user, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is apparently getting its long awaited World Wide Release on September 1, 2015! That means the MAIN GAME and sequel to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will finally be coming to Current and Last Generation consoles this year, as promised by the creator and man himself, Hideo Kojima.


With the IGN announcement not yet publicly released, stay tuned for it and confirmation of this report by checking the official Metal Gear Solid Facebook page.

MGS V: The Phantom Pain will be released for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be released on March 18, 2014


Fans anxiously awaiting the release of Hideo Kojima's next installment of his epic Metal Gear Solid franchise won't have to wait too soon, as the first half of what makes up Metal Gear Solid V finally has a release date. The head of Kojima Productions has officially announced during an interview with XBox Wire that the prologue entry, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, is geared up for release on the first quarter of 2014 - specifically March 18, 2014 to be exact!

Much like its Playstation Portable predecessor Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Ground Zeroes will once again feature the return of Big Boss/ Naked Snake and his Militaires Sans Frontieres, continuing the events from the previous game and seeing the legendary soldier lead his army in a rescue and retrieve mission in a mysterious black site called Camp Omega located somewhere in Cuba. The game will also carry over gameplay mechanics and base building from Peace Walker, while incorporating some new innovations such as "day and night cycles" and new ways to sneak and chart a path through the story while retaining the main message behind it.

Metal Gear Solid V: Kiefer Sutherland is Snake in MGSV



Looks like it's official: We have a new voice actor for Snake, and he is the man who played Jack Bauer.



Announced today via their own Pre-E3 Press Conference video, Hideo Kojima and Konami have revealed that Kiefer Sutherland, famous for the smash hit action series 24, is now your new "Snake" in the next Metal Gear Solid game. That pretty much confirms that iconic and longtime Snake actor David Hayter has been replaced, and it's also Kojima's decision based on advice from producer Avi Arad.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes gameplay footage and info revealed


Continuing the Metal Gear 25th anniversary celebration and as part of this year's PAX event, More details were revealed this weekend, as Konami and Hideo Kojima laid out the groundwork for his next installment in the Metal Gear Solid franchise with Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. The star of the game will be none other than the original Snake himself, Big Boss/ Naked Snake, and the adventure will serve as a prequel to what will be Metal Gear Solid 5. The game runs on the newest "Fox Engine" developed by Kojima Productions, and looks mighty impressive to say the least. Metal Gear 25th Anniversary Event confirms Movie plans, Social Ops and Ground Zero announced


New updates and news on the future of Metal Gear Solid were laid out today, as Konami revealed plans for a live action film (again) and a brand new social game! During the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary Event in Tokyo with series' creator Hideo Kojima present on the stage, an announcement by the Tactical Espionage Action guru that Metal Gear Solid is getting the Hollywood treatment, with Columbia Pictures partnering up with Konami and Avi Arad producing. Also announced during the event was a new Social Game, aptly titled "Metal Gear Solid: Social Ops". It's coming for Japan's GREE platform, and has graphics that look much like MGS Peace Walker. More on the game can be read up in Kotaku as well.

Metal Gear Solid 5 confirmed by Hideo Kojima and using Fox Engine



Despite saying the opposite and stating that the story of Solid Snake is finished, Hideo Kojima apparently isn't done with the legendary soldier yet, and has confirmed in an interview with Eurogamer that Metal Gear Solid 5 is in the works!


According to the interview, the next installment in Konami's Tactical Espionage Action series of stealth games will be built using Kojima Production's proprietary and under development "Fox Engine", with the game being more of an "Infiltration Game" ala Deus EX: Human Revolution. It's not known yet whether Kojima is going to direct or lead the project in some form or way, but his involvement is without question. The next Metal Gear game, a spinoff title starring Raiden called Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, is due for release sometime next year. Tokyo Game Show 2010: A very long Castlevania Lords of Shadow trailer!

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow originally wasn't intended to be a Castlevania game. However, Konami shifted gears and eventually made it a part of the series, installing famed director of the Metal Gear series, Hideo Kojima, as executive producer. With less than a month to go before the game's release, Konami is promoting every bit of their new vampire slaying title at this year's Tokyo Game Show, with a new trailer that reveals just how much the game wasn't meant to be tied to the lore involving Belmonts and Dracula.
