Street Fighter 6: Akuma Cinematic Trailer Released

 

One of the most anticipated fighters that Street Fighter fans have been waiting to see join Street Fighter 6 is almost here, as Capcom has released our very first cinematic look at the Master of the Fist and user of the Dark Hadou himself, Akuma/ Gouki! MESSATSU!

Shown during the Capcom Highlights showcase and looking very buff and sporting longer white hair and a beard, the silent user of the Raging Demon is the final DLC character for the first year of SF6 - and he’ll be out this Spring for players to purchase and use! We need to see a gameplay trailer next!

With just a month to go before it releases for various gaming platforms worldwide, Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal, and Square Enix's Avengers game has been putting up the hype to have fans play a unique video game adventure featuring Earth's Mightiest Heroes and fan favorite characters like Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Black Widow. However, the DLC content for that game has taken a MAJOR SWING in a direction that will leave some fans excited (or divided) - and that's having your friendly neighborhood webslinging hero Spider-Man as an EXCLUSIVE post-launch character for Playstation sometime in Early 2021.

As reported by IGN, the news was announced over at the Playstation Blog. After announcing the likes of Hawkeye as Downloaded Content heroes that are coming to the game after it launches this September, Spider-Man's reveal as a Playstation exclusive character tilts things in the console's favor while the Xbox Series X, PC, and Stadia versions of the game won't be getting the character at this point. It's no surprise either - given that Marvel's Spider-Man by Insomniac Games was also a Playstation exclusive for the PS4 and is one of the best superhero games ever made.

Marvel's Avengers will be hitting platforms starting September 4th.

Capcom announces “Season V” and costume contest for Street Fighter V: Champion Edition!

Fans who play Street Fighter and are playing the latest version of the game in "Street Fighter V: Champion Edition" are going to be happy with the news Capcom reported in their "Capcom-Unity" blog - as the video game developer and company announced that they are going to add more content to SFV in the future - particularly a "Season V" with FIVE NEW CHARACTERS and a costume contest for fans to participate in - with the chosen winners getting their designs added to the game!

For those interested in joining the costume contest, visit the Official Costume Contest portal and follow the instructions in order to participate and submit your entries! The contest is ongoing and will end on July 21st!

And as for Season "V" - it will be the final season of the game and will add five mysterious new characters, as well as three new stages. Stay tuned for updates on that!

Mortal Kombat: MK 11's Spawn DLC and "Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge" trailers released

Final Kombat 2020 just took place, and during the tournament Netherrealm Studios kept their word and revealed their long awaited gameplay trailer for the next DLC character to hit "Mortal Kombat 11" - and it's none other than Todd McFarlane's superhero warrior from hell, Spawn!

Boasting some chains, guns, hellish moves, and the voice of returning Spawn actor Keith David, the alter ego of Al Simmons is ready to face anything that Outworld may bring as his mission of the damned continues.

As the title implies, the film will be focusing on Hanzo Hasashi's journey from a betrayed warrior of the Shirai Ryu to becoming a spectre who enters the first Mortal Kombat tournament and is hellbent on revenge against his murderer Sub-Zero.

Street Fighter V: Champion Edition announced; Gill revealed as next Season 4 DLC player

A long overdue return to blogging and news posting after nearly a month's break - and not a moment too soon as some pretty important World Warrior news has arrived for those into Fighting Games!

Fans and dedicated players of Capcom's current iteration of the long running Street Fighter series finally get their LONG OVERDUE update, as the video game publisher revealed following the Capcom Pro Tour 2019 North American Regional Finals (congratulations Du "NuckleDu" Dang!) that the next major update will be "Street Fighter V: Champion Edition"! This will not only feature a package of 40 fighters and 34 stages, but NEW V-Skils as well in addition to the content and updates that has already been released.

SFV: Champion Edition will be released on February 14, 2020, with a physical edition retailing for $29.99 and a digital update that can be purchased and pre-ordered for $24.99 at Playstation Store and PC. More details on that can be read on at Event Hubs.

 Also, Gill has been revealed as the fifth fighter coming to "Season 4" of Street Fighter V. You know him as the "cheap boss" from the Street Fighter III series, and he's joining his brother Urien and secretary Kolin to deliver his holy message and rule representing the Secret Society in this game.

Right on the week of San Diego Comic-Con itself and on the month the DLC launches online, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, DC Entertainment, and Rocksteady Studios have released the official trailer to the first DLC content release post-game launch of "Batman: Arkham Knight", and that is the "Batgirl: A Matter of Family" prequel story that sees a young and still walking Barbara Gordon in her crimefighting alter ego, fighting to save her dad Commissioner Gordon from the clutches of The Joker.

Developed by WB Games Montreal, the side story sees Batgirl teaming up with "Batgirl: A Matter of Family" to take on The Clown Prince of Crime, with Harley Quinn and the rest of his clown gang assisting him and putting the Commissioner's life on the line and done should Batman appear.

Regular purchase of the DLC prequel will arrive on July 21st for PSN and Xbox Live for $6.99.

Batman: Arkham Knight: Red Hood revealed as Gamestop Exclusive

Batman Day is pretty much here, and fans eager to celebrate 75 years and all things about the Caped Crusader are treated to some boombastic news for one of the most anticipated games featuring the Dark Knight and made by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, DC Entertainment, and Rocksteady Studios - that being Batman: Arkham Knight!

Via a report Batman-News.com, a reader by the name of "El Murcielago" sent in what appears to be a new banner ad that not only promotes the game's release and the Harley Quinn story pack... but a newly added Gamestop exclusice story pack that spotlights the Red Hood, aka Jason Todd the second Robin. True to Rocksteady's take on the Batman universe with the Arkham games, Jason gets a redesign for his costume, and this time the "Red Hood" is not a helmet but a literal jacket hood, and his portrait is sort of a homage to Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed games with the way he poses.

Also, could the Red Hood's presence in the game signify that he is the mysterious Arkham Knight? We'll find out more down the line I suppose, and maybe via this week's SDCC. For more information, visit the source post at Batman-news.

According to a report by CosmicBookNews.com, a description seen in Playstation.com reads that an exclusive DLC for the game on PS4 called "Terror Unleashes" will see Batman and his Batmobile not only facing a giant sized version of The Scarecrow, but an army of undead zombies as well! The game is still delayed for an unspecified release date... But this kind of news is exciting and worthwhile to know about should it be true! As part of their "Batman 75" special episode, DC All Access previewed some pretty awesome gameplay from the upcoming new DLC story for Batman: Arkham Origins called "Cold, Cold Heart", which sees the young Dark Knight facing the cool, cruel Mr. Freeze for the first time after the events of the main game and during New Year's Eve.
