Looks like news of Square Enix's next adventure starring Lara Croft and her rebooted video game franchise may be coming tomorrow - as the publisher has the official Tomb Raider website showing a date in "March 15, 2018" at 6:00 AM PDT promising some sort of reveal or announcement.
However, IGN and other gaming websites may have discovered a potential release date revealed in the source code of the site, as the html reveals a date of September 14, 2018 - possibly being the release date of the third game in the new Tomb Raider series which will come out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Nothing definite there and it could mean another thing, but let's wait and see. As it is, Lara Croft is enjoying exposure in another medium as her new reboot film (which I saw and reviewed here) based on the new games is now out on cinemas internationally and on March 16 in the US.
Expected and finally confirmed by Capcom themselves on their game's Facebook page, the next chapter of Resident Evil is a sequel to one of their spinoffs, as the video game publisher has officially announced Resident Evil: Revelations 2. While no details have been released other than it's coming in Early 2015 and for next-gen systems, a concept trailer was released to tease the public of it's arrival.

Also, Capcom released the first trailer for their other "Early 2015" Resident Evil game release - the "Rebirth" or HD remastering of the first Resident Evil game remake!
After wrapping up "The Dark Knight Trilogy" with"The Dark Knight Rises" and now overseeing this year's "Man of Steel" as executive producer, Christopher Nolan has cemented his legacy as one of the best known directors in Hollywood to date. Besides resurrecting the Batman film franchise, the British director and screenwriter has also directed successful films in the form of "Memento" and "Inception", and has collaborated time and again with several actors and actresses he has used throughout his many films.
That being said, it's no surprise that Nolan's next film will be bigger than ever, as Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. have officially announced a joint production between the two studios to co-produce and distribute the director's next film - "Interstellar". To be released in conventional theaters and IMAX format (a technology that Nolan helped master and pioneer use of successfully with his Dark Knight films), Interstellar has been given a clear release date of November 7, 2014, and "will depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding".
Well, it's official... Sony has announced the Playstation 4 during their Playstation Meeting 2013 event in New York City. As of this post, the event is actually still ongoing, with Sony and developers giving descriptions, demonstrations, and details on Sony's brand new console since the release of the Playstation 3 on 2006. What's clear is that it will have a big harddrive, an 8GB or RAM, and a Dualshock 4 controller with touchpad feature.

Following months of teasers and sneak peeks, Rockstar Games has finally announced when Grand Theft Auto V will be released: by Spring 2013! The news broke out in the video game developer's official website, as well as gaming news site Kotaku.

In case you haven't heard about it yet, I will say it again. MARVEL VS CAPCOM 3 IS CONFIRMED, and it's coming to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 sometime on 2011! The trailer broke out earlier, much to the glee and anticipation of the millions... AND MILLIONS of MvC fans who have waited for a decade to get a taste of another that features Hyper Combos and Aerial Raves! As a longtime fan of fighting games and all things Capcom in general, this is the announcement to make everyone go insane, and I'm getting ready for the next, intense battle of heroes and villains striving for dominance and supremacy!
Breaking out the news officially today following a week of silence in respect to Captivate 2010's embargo, Kotaku mentions in grand detail what players can expect from this grand sequel, once again combining the forces of Marvel with the superb fighters from Capcom's gaming roster. Officially called "Marvel Vs Capcom 3: Fate Of Two Worlds", the only details that have surfaced so far is that the game will boast over 30 characters from both sides of the fighting coin, with 6 characters already revealed in the launch trailer - namely Wolverine, Hulk, and Iron Man (in his Extremis type armor) from Marvel, and Ryu, Morrigan, and Chris Redfield representing Capcom. In total counting the unrevealed shades in the trailer, that's 16 characters "confirmed" to appear in MvC 3, and people have begun speculating as to who these fighters are, Kotaku included. So far they've listed people like Captain America, Super-Skrull, and even Devil May Cry's protagonist Dante as candidates to appear in this versus game, so anything is pretty much up in the air. As for how the game will play, It'll still be classic 3 on 3 tag team fighting, but with 3D sprites sparring on a 2D plane. The graphics will be totally new, utilizing an advanced version of the MT Framework game engine used in Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet 2. At first, I thought Capcom would be using a retooled Tatsunoko vs Capcom or Street Fighter IV engine as their basis for the game's creation, but looks like that won't be the case.
By golly, this is truly exciting news for the average fighting game fan, and like everyone else, I'm pumped up to see actual gameplay soon. Super Street Fighter IV is getting the rave treatment before its release, and the excitement for it just got bigger! Blogged by Kotaku and announced at this recent Japanese Championship Tournament by producer Yoshinori Ono, the game will officially see an arcade release... well, in Japan first at least! The original Street Fighter IV also saw release as a coin-op prior to being ported and expanded in its console iterations, but SSFIV arcade will be a different affair, as it will be released side by side with the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, bringing the fight to a fair level for all brawlers out there! Fighting games were made for the arcade scene, and I'm happy and hoping that this baby will land in a mall nearby! While SSFIV expands its reach to other territories, let's not forget the console scene, where new marketing changes and additions have been made to promote the game's release. The North American version of the game had its box cover slightly altered, but nothing but a few cosmetic changes to what is considered to be the least favorite among the cover to cover bunch. Via Capcom's blog, take a look and see British boxer and SFIII veteran Dudley replacing Cammy in the final NA version of the boxart.

Super Street Fighter IV is set to fight on April 27! Get ready!
All we get is a logo and announcement, but everything is official, and SNK Playmore has announced the next entry to their 2D KOF series, The King Of Fighters XIII. The news was posted in Kotaku, though details about the game at this point is everything but null. The only thing confirmed at this point is the game will be running on the Taito Type X2 arcade hardware... and nothing else is said about who's going to be in it or whether it'll be handdrawn again like the last lukewarm entry, KOF XII. The official preview is expected to be around the end of next month, so until then, let's hope for a better installment this time around with a DEFINITE story and boss worthy of the SNK Bossy Syndrome legacy.
I've covered just about everything leading up to this announcement, but now I can finally assure you all - the word was made official by Capcom - Super Street Fighter IV is coming in 2010 next year!
With the word out now to the public, the game's official site is now live. You can view character profiles, the game's first trailer (it's a Ryu vs Ken thing... again), and a link to the game's official blog site. Of course, all of this is currently in Japanese, but not to worry, fans and other sites have already translated much of the info, including an exclusive first look at the game by Gamespot.
