The Dark Knight Rises graces the cover of Entertainment Weekly!

Via Comic Book Movie, here's a first look at the cover to the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly, which features Christian Bale donning The Dark Knight batsuit once more and assuming his role as Batman in Warner Bros. and Christopher Nolan's epic conclusion to the Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises! Batman: Year One Blu-Ray cover and new images surface!

New images and the official Blu-Ray cover have appeared online for DC Universe Animated Original Movies' much anticipated animated film treatment of Frank Miller's epic Batman origin story, Batman: Year One! Having premiered at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, the DVD and Blu-Ray is expected to hit this October, and now via Comic Book Movie and DC! Movies on Facebook, we have our first look at the cover to the Blu-Ray release (which looks like the European version)!

This cool image is straight from the cover of the Graphic Novel/ Trade Paperback itself!

Cover to Justice League #4 revealed - Aquaman is a badass

While presenting the numbers and news that Justice League #1 is the best selling comic of the month and, currently, 2011, DC Comics' official blog The Source also presented that post with the cover to issue #4 by Jim Lee, depicting a very serious looking Aquaman as he stands behind the waves, victorious and on top of the battered and beaten bodies of Batman and Green Lantern! It looks like The Dark Knight and Emerald Warrior are going to have their hands full meeting and fighting their eventual teammates, and Aquaman doesn't look like he's screwing around either! Justice League #1: The Full Cover revealed!

Via Comic Book Resources, here is the full cover to Justice League #1, written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Jim Lee. The issue, launching this August 31st, will be the first of a series of about 52 titles to be relaunched for DC Comics new initiative to "reboot titles for the modern age". What you see above is also the new redesigns for the costumes of DC's greatest heroes in the Justice League. Geoff Johns certainly wasn't kidding when he said "Everything you know will change in a flash" via Flashpoint, and now we know the answer on what will happen AFTER Flashpoint ends. New looks all around for Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and Cyborg (as illustrated b Jim Lee), and it's looking like the 90's for some all over again. Well, we'll just have to wait and see how everything goes.

Captain America Update: New Empire Cover featuring Chris Evans as Cap!

Empire has posted this neat looking cover of the newest issue of their magazine, featuring Chris Evans all decked out with uniform (sans mask) and shield as the star spangled hero of Marvel Comics himself, Captain America! As you can see, Evans stands tall and proud as Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, in front of an American Flag background, showing his resolve to fight the good fight and bring victory over the forces of evil! Featured in the magazine as well are new pics and details, featuring comments from Marvel chief Kevin Feige, who describes the kind of tone fans can expect from the upcoming superhero movie! Things Don't Look Good In Batman #705...

...and I mean that with a definite emphasis on "Not Good". Tony Daniels is going to take Dick Grayson for a wild ride when he gets back to the double duty writing/ drawing gig, and as seen in The Source, here's a look at the cover to issue #705, which puts the new "Dark Knight" in a very delicate situation.

Even with two Batmen on the scene, things are going to get real tough for Dick and his comrades as the adventure continues. Batman #705 ships on November.

Siege #4 Cover Revealed!

Marvel.com has unveiled the cover to next month's Siege #4 by Olivier Coipel, showing just about every main character on the Avengers side as they witness a new breed of chaos ready to engulf them! If you haven't read Siege #3 yet, then chances are you won't know what I'm talking about. Rest assured though, before the Heroic Age begins, the heroes will have to brave the storm and put an end to the madness unleashed by Norman Osborn once and for all. Stay tuned.

With the game only a month away, Super Street Fighter IV has been generating a lot of buzz and excitement from the fans themselves! New characters and super moves, new modes and fighting combinations to explore... the possibilities seem endless! In good old Capcom fighting game tradition, the wait has been excruciating for many, but the anticipation and hype for the game's release gets bigger as the street date draws near! In fact, SF fansite Eventhubs has posted quite a teasing report, as in this year's Game Developers Conference, somebody camcorded the intro the game itself! Those wanting to avoid spoilers best turn their eyes away now... otherwise, the check it at your own risk!

Look And Behold The Cover To Batman #700!

In a few months time, certain DC books are hitting a landmark in the issue count, and one of them involves is a famous dark individual who stalks crime at night and protects the populace of Gotham City. Of course, I'm talking about the one and only Caped Crusader, Batman, and the flagship title that bears his name and continuing adventures reaches a milestone with the aoon-to-be released issue #700 in June 2010! To celebrate, DC has charged newly signed and exclusive artist David Finch to handle the cover duties, and for a taste of things to come, DC has revealed it, all colored and inked for the fans to drool over!


Nice cover, and in true Finch style too. It's obvious that the bats we're looking at is still Dick Grayson, but nevertheless, it's still Batman, and the end result is all that matters.

Impressive is just one of the many words I can give to salute Finch's work. Ever since his days at Marvel, his art has just been wonders to see, especially when it comes to the action and fighting bits his work so effortlessly brings to life time and again. He was the artist paired with Brian Michael Bendis when the writer destroyed the Avengers during "Avengers: Disassembled. Eventually the duo relaunched Earth's Mightiest Heroes with "The New Avengers", and afterwards Finch went on to draw other characters like Moon Knight and supply covers for events like "World War Hulk" and "Messiah Complex".

Now that he's with DC, lots of art possibilities can come up now that David Finch is on board. We got a taste of his work with the cover to Brightest Day #1, and now we have one for Batman #700... which is just awesome. I can't wait to see his work on later titles, and possibly a Justice League project if he gets the chance!

Prepare For "The Blackest Knight"...

Via DC's website, here's cover art by Frank Quitely giving a glimpse of things to come in Batman and Robin #7, which is the start of Grant Morrison's newest storyline that will no doubt affect Dick Grayson and his allies - "The Blackest Knight"...

To say this is "bad to the bone" is an understatement. Watch out for this issue to hit shelves next week!

Bruce Wayne's Return Is Near!

Straight from The Source, DC Comics has revealed the cover to the first issue of April's "Batman: The Return Of Bruce Wayne". As you can see, Bats is still lost in time and stuck in the stone age, where hundreds of cavemen are waiting to turn him back to primordial soup. Illustrated by Andy Kubert and written by Grant Morrison, this mini will finally put the true Dark Knight back on his place... or will it? Looking forward to this in the coming months, as all Batman fans should.

Iron Man Spotlight: What Are Friends For?

Marvel.com has released an image of the variant wrap around cover to Invincible Iron Man #21, depicting a scene where two of Tony Stark's closest allies return to aide him in his time of need.


Alright, I was a little puzzled by the look of this cover. First of all, why is Thor channeling lightning to Captain America's shield and using it as a conduit to filter in energy to Stark? Last time we saw Ol' Shellhead, he was literally brain dead after going through the painful task of literally deleting his brain of the Super Hero Registration Act files. The last thing Tony needs is an electric charge to jump start his brain... but that might actually work come to think of it. Anything can happen in the Marvel Universe, and this is the power of Thor we're talking about, so trust on the Thunder God and your friends, right? We'll find out how Tony makes it on the road to recovery when Stark: Disassembled begins later this month.

Doom Cover Artist Don Ivan Punchatz Passes Away...

Sad news was posted in gaming site Kotaku, as Don Ivan Punchatz, the man responsible for drawing the legendary cover art to the first Doom game, passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 73. Anyone who's associated themselves with games all their life can't deny that it's one of those iconic images that moved people to play the game in the 90's, as well as and help bring the gaming industry to where it is today. Besides contributing to id Software, Punchatz also did artwork for several other successful brands such as TIME Magazine and Playboy.
