Superman Reboot coming from "Black Panther/ Captain America" writer Ta-Nehisi Coates amd J.J Abrams producing
It looks like Warner Bros. is going back to the drawing board for a certain Man of Steel property in the film division of things, as Deadline has confirmed that WB and DC have tapped writer Ta-Nehisi Coates (Black Panther and Captain America) to write a Superman reboot feature, with J.J Abrams producing under his Bad Robot Productions company.
No word on what exactly this new reboot will entail or if it will star Henry Cavill again as the big screen version of Clark Kent/ Superman, but this will be the second time that DC's Big Blue Boy Scout will be redone from scratch. Superman was first played on the big screen by Christopher Reeve in the classic 1978 film of the same name directed by Richard Donner. Reeve would go on to play the hero in three more sequels, after which Brandon Routh took over and played the same version in the semi-reboot sequel Superman Returns in 2006 (which ignored the events of Superman III and IV). Henry Cavill would then play the part in the first reboot for the DC Extended Universe in "Man of Steel" - which was directed by Zack Snyder and paved the way for a cinematic universe shared by "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", "Wonder Woman", and "Justice League".
Currently, Cavill will be seen again as Superman in the upcoming "Zack Snyder's Justice League" set to debut in HBO Max next month. Tyler Hoechlin plays the TV version seen in the Arrowverse - who first appeared in "Supergirl" and is now starring in the newly released TV Series "Superman and Lois".

Heads Up: The Amazing Spider-Man #60 hits this week and SPOILERS are crawling up the interwebz
For those of you still following Marvel Comics and the events of The Amazing Spider-Man, writer Nick Spencer has done a pretty big spectacular job in bringing some new twists and turns to Peter Parker and his webslinging alter ego in the past few years since he took over the run... And the introduction and revelation of who Kindred is happened a couple of issues ago that literally sent ramifications down the life of our friendly neighborhood wallcrawler.
That being said, this week marks the release of The Amazing Spider-Man #60 (or ASM #861 for legacy number followers) - and it's another BIG STEP to what could potentially address and undo one of the most controversial Spider-Man stories in the past decade - namely "One More Day" and the reset button where Peter's marriage to Mary Jane was undone.
Consider this your SPOILER WARNING. Comic Book Movie has an article that spoils what the BIG STEP is. Tread lightly and check it out only if you're curious.
The Amazing Spider-Man #60 hits comic stores this Wednesday, February 24.
