Catwoman gets a redesign from Clay Mann for Batman/Catwoman series

Literally we can say "PURRFEECCCT", and this reveal comes just two months before the new series debuts.

Via his official Twitter, comic book artist Clay Mann has revealed the brand new look and costume Catwoman will get in the upcoming "Batman/ Catwoman" miniseries that will be drawn by him and written by Tom King. Designed by Mann himself, Selina Kyle's new suit looks to take inspiration from fan-favorite looks of the Feline Fatale - including her iconic modern look with the goggles and the grey colored catsuit from "Batman The Animated Series". There are also influences coming from her lover Batman himself - with Mann designing a single blade on each of her gloves and a utility belt for her gadgets ala The Dark Knight himself. We'll find out more when the DC Black Label series begins this fall.

The first issue of Batman/ Catwoman will be released on December.

Batman/ Catwoman finally arrives on December 2020 as part of DC Black Label imprint

After nearly a year of postponement and no word of when it would finally hit comic shops, Tom King and Clay Mann's "Batman/ Catwoman" series is finally seeing going to see release literally before the year ends -- with the first issue of the planned 12 issue run hitting comic book shops and retailers this December.

Following the on and off relationship between Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle, the series is a continuation of Tom King's run on Batman -- which highlighted that Bat Cat romance and their ill-fated wedding which was sabotaged and manipulated behind the scenes by a group of villains led by Bane and Flashpoint Batman. The run is also set to introduce Phantasm, aka Andrea Beaumont, into the DC Universe proper for the first time. Beaumont was Bruce Wayne's love interest and fiancee in the Batman: The Animateds Series film "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm", so her inclusion and role in the DC Black Label series will be interesting and a compelling reason to collect the limited series run. For more information and details, check out Newsarama.

Batman/ Catwoman will run from December 2020 to November 2021, with a hiatus on June 2021 to make way for a "Batman/ Catwoman Special" to be released that same month.

The Dark Knight Rises: New Catwoman poster and more banners appear!

The fire continues to rise with the marketing for The Dark Knight Rises, as Warner Bros. unveils not just two additional banner posters for the film, but a new and femme fatale looking poster featuring Catwoman! Via Batman-News, the new one sheet, which was released through clever viral marketing, features Anne Hathaway's as Selina Kyle's alter ego, wherein her heel crushes one of Batman's signature Batarangs and leaves a playful kiss at the title logo!

Also getting released are these two intense looking banner posters, the first one tweeted by Warner Bros. India and featuring Christian Bale as Batman as he covers himself with his cape which is under fire, with a broken looking Gotham City in the background.

The next one shows as intense square off between The Dark Knight and Tom Hardy's Bane, which doesn't look so good for Batman after his nemesis catches his punch! For more info, check out the source post here and here at Comic Book Movie!

The Dark Knight Rises Update: More photos of Selina Kyle!

The Daily Mail has posted up some photos of Anne Hathaway in a really great and stunning white dress, portraying her role of Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan's next epic Batman flick, The Dark Knight Rises! While the official photo released by Warner Bros. yesterday of her dressed as Catwoman and riding the Batpod is already in wide circulation around the web (prompting some more shooting and fake pics to appear as well), we shouldn't forget about her gorgeous civilian alter ego, and new pics of Hathaway in that part like the one above have surfaced courtesy of Splash Page and The Daily Mail while filming is currently going on in Pittsburgh. The Dark Knight Rises Update: Footage hits web and Anne Hathaway confirmed to wear Catwoman suit!

Several sites, including Yahoo! and Screen Rant, have reported that a fan has posted a video from the set of Christoper Nolan's next epic Batman movie sequel, The Dark Knight Rises. The footage, being shot in Nottingham, England, has stars Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway assuming their roles as Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle respectively, filming a pivotal scene in the rain where the two interact as they arrive or are about to depart via cab from the newly restored Wayne Manor household. Not much can be said for the scene, and the video, uploaded in You Tube by user Bat Manor, shows the clip without any audio. You can check the above source sites links for more on the story, or take a look at the clip via this link (SPOILER MODE ON of course).

In other TDKR related news, it has been confirmed that Anne Hathaway WILL be donning the Catwoman suit after all, using the most recent and modern look Selina Kyle wears in the comics. According to a report posted in Hollywood Life and then reposted at Enewsi, the costume will be "less sexier" and look more "burglar like" than the ones worn by previous Catwoman actrors Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry, but fans and guys can rest easy knowing that the outfit will have the goggles and be form-fitted, making Hathaway "smoking hot" and "feline looking" in a role that will "take her to new places". The Dark Knight Rises Update: New cast roles revealed!

After quite a wait and a long period of secrecy, director Christopher Nolan finally breaks his silence and reveals two roles for his next Bat flick, The Dark Knight Rises. As reported in Slash Film, his Inception star, Tom Hardy, finally has a role for this movie. Take note, this may be a surprise to some when you see the picture below of who the English actor is going to play, but Nolan has already decided on it, and here it is:

Yes, Tom Hardy will be playing Bane, the villain who singlehandedly broke the Dark Knight's back in the "Knightfall" storyline during the 90's. The character was also used in "Batman and Robin", but that outing didn't turn out so well for the character. Some of you may find this role casting as strange as I did, but I respect the director enough to know he may have something up his sleeve with the choice. We'll just have to wait and see how it turns out once production for the movie begins and photos and trailers show the action.

In other news, a female lead has finally been chosen, and Anne Hathaway was given Nolan's blessing to play Selina Kyle, who many around the world know better as Catwoman. As one of primary characters in Batman and Bruce Wayne's world, Catwoman is the one of the few characters who has been a villain and ally to the Dark Knight, as well as a lover who has earned his respect and admiration. As the person to play Ms. Kyle, Hathaway is a beautiful and smart actress for the park, and I think Nolan has left the role in good hands with her casting. The Devil Wears Prada star ironically also worked with the late Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain, who we all know played the most iconic representation of The Joker in 2008's The Dark Knight, for which he won a posthumous Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. If you want to get an idea of how she acts, she'll be appeared recently in Love and Other Drugs alongside Jake Gyllenhaal (another Brokeback co-star). Knowing Nolan's way of directing and picking actors, I have faith on what's going to come with TDKR, and this will be an exciting wait for the next Batman movie.
