Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel will take place around the world according to Kevin Feige
As the world prepares for the arrival of the big Marvel Cinematic Universe convergence film that is "Avengers: Infinity War" this week, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed to io9 that the sequel will be happening across the globe - giving Tom Holland's Peter Parker and his alter ego quite the "field trip" that's reminiscent of his time travelling to Germany during the events of "Captain America: Civil War".
"We start filming early July,” Feige said. “We film in London. We shot first film in Atlanta. And we shoot a lot of films in London but there’s another reason we’re shooting in London which is, yes, Spidey, of course, will spend some time in New York, but he’ll spend some time in other parts of the globe.”
Looks like our favorite webslinging hero's going to have his hands full after dealing with Thanos alongside Mr. Stark and crew. For more details, visit io9!

3-2-1 LET'S JAM! Happy 20th Anniversary, Cowboy Bebop!
It's hard to imagine that it's been exactly 20 YEARS to this day that acclaimed Anime director Shinichiro Watanabe and production studio Sunrise unleashed one of the most iconic Japanese Anime series ever produced. On April 3, 1998, Cowboy Bebop first aired on TV Tokyo - with the episode "Asteroid Blues" and introducing us to a Space Western series infused with film noir, jazz, action, and drama like no other. We got to meet the crew of the Bebop - headlined by the laid back, Jeet Kune Do practicing Spike Spiegel - a bounty hunter with a mysterious past that was slowly revealed over the 26 episodes that aired in this classic show. He was joined by his partner and best friend Jet Black, a former cop who captains the ship they use to travel around the cosmos, as well as the beautiful and seductive Faye Valentine, the tech wiz crazy kid Ed, and Ein the data dog.
If anything, I could say A LOT about this series as well as its spectacular soundtrack done in the vein of Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Funk as presented by Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts - but if you haven't watched an Anime and are aiming to start or find a classic - THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU. 20 years and it still stands the test of time - the intro "Tank!" says it all.
HAPPY 20TH ANNIVERSARY AND SEE YOU SPACE COWBOY!

20 Years of Trigun - Revisiting a classic anime series
It's not every day you get to celebrate two decades of an Japanese Anime series that influenced a generation of viewers - let alone one that was based off a popular manga and didn't quite follow the plot of that as it was still ongoing yet turned into its own spin and became a classic nevertheless. Of course, we're talking about the anime adaptation of Yasuhiro Nightow's "Trigun" - an action packed space western show that ran for 26 episodes and was animated by Madhouse. Like its source material, the series told the story of a mysterious gunslinger known as "Vash the Stampede" - who wanders around the colonized and desert like planet of Gunsmoke with a $$60 Billion Double Dollar bounty on his head. Why would some guy like that be the target of every scum and mercenary out there? That's what the series chronicles - including revealing bits and pieces of who Vash really is as well as meeting his companions in insurance girls Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson, as well as the priest gunfighter Nicholas D. Wolfwood.
Now what makes this anime so badass? Why let's see and listen to the opening first before anything else:
That was the intro using the song "H.T", and it presents Vash as a badass. However, the anime shows more than just guns blazing. The first few episodes in fact show a "different side" to our main character than one would expect.
There's tons of life lessons and things to appreciate about Trigun - from Vash's naive and seemingly impossible mission as a pacifist to save everyone without killing, to the hopeless circumstances and grim choices those around him have to make to survive. The planet they live in is also devoid of most natural resources - with humanity relying on alien "Plants" to provide them with all the necessary water and energy they need to survive. It gets better over time - and it's turned into one of the anime classics of its time (alongside fellow 20 year celebrant Cowboy Bebop) that you can watch at your leisure and name your favorite moments from each episode. While the English dub is pretty good (with Johnny Yong Bosch of Power Rangers fame providing the voice of Vash), stick to the original Japanese dub for quality viewing and the jokes - Masaya Onasaka being THE definite voice of Vash.
With that, I celebrate 20 years of the Trigun anime with this picture of my small collection. LOVE AND PEACE BABY!!!

Happy Easter and April Fools! Revisiting classic Street Fighter hoaxes from EGM
Easter Eggs and April Fools Day seldom go hand and hand... But today this 2018, they coincide and crossover on April 1st as it is Easter Sunday and it's also the same day where tricks and pranks can be made in good fun. So in the spirit of both occasions and the fact that the 2018 Capcom Pro Tour is currently ongoing with some of the best Street Fighter players around the world - let's revisit some of Electronic Gaming Monthly's most infamous pranks during "April Fools".
Back in April of 1992, EGM decided to post a "trick" that would test the patience and sanity of any Street Fighter II player willing to go for it - fighting against "Sheng Long" - the supposed master of Ryu and Ken who was put into Street Fighter canon by accident thanks to a mistranslation of the word "Dragon Punch" in one of Ryu's winning quotes. As a result, EGM decided to take advantage and put out a grand hoax where the player, as Ryu, cannot take a single hit until they reach M.Bison's stage and when they reach that stage they cannot land or take hits until the tenth round. By that time, "Sheng Long" would appear and throw Bison off the arena - challenging the player to a "dual to the death".
Ironically, this hoax led to the creation and existence of Akuma/ Gouki as the "Secret Boss Character" that made his first appearance in Super Street Fighter II Turbo. That wouldn't be "Sheng Long" technically, but the pranks wouldn't stop there.
When Street Fighter III: New Generation first appeared in arcades, EGM revived the "secret" by creating a new elaborate "hoax" for the April 1997 issue - with Sheng Long "appearing in the sequel and an elaborate method explained on how to "fight him". Of course it was another ruse, and this eventually led to Akuma appearing in the updated Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact.
Eventually more than a decade later, "Sheng Long" did get his long awaited addition to the Street Fighter series - in the form of Gouken - the true master of Ryu and Ken who was supposedly killed by Akuma/ Gouki, but instead revived thanks to a new power that countered the Satsui no Hadou his younger brother used. Gouken made his first appearance as a secret boss character in Street Fighter IV, before becoming fully playable in later revisions and home releases.
Finally, there was the "AKUMA" hoax in Resident Evil 2, which EGM took full advantage of using as a "Trick of the Month" to let players play as the famed Street Fighter secret character in the 1998 survival horror sequel. That put a lot of people through stress and challenges to "unlock the demon" - another elaborate trick for April Fool's that the Electronic Gaming Monthly guys cleverly crafted.
That's pretty much it for the throwback folks. Happy Easter and April Fool's Day 2018!
