James Bond: Christoph Waltz not returning for "Bond 25"
Fans looking forward to the next James Bond film in a few years will have to contend with the fact that the villain from the last film won't be returning, as Comic Book Movie reports that Christoph Waltz won't be reprising his role as Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the as of yet untitled "Bond 25" due in 2019..
"I’m really sad, but that’s the tradition, that there is a new…name. Sorry, but I would’ve liked to."
Whether he's just feigning or it's true, we won't know until production for the film begins and hints about the plot surface. For now, it looks like Blofeld isn't going to come back and terrorize Bond's personal affairs this time around.
Bond 25 is scheduled for a November 8, 2019 release.

Kotobukiya previews "Batman Rebirth" statue for May 2018
As one of the "new looks" that made its grand debut early last year, The "Batman Rebirth" suit is the new look that debuted just as Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo ended their epic run on the main "Batman" title just before DC Entertainment introduced the "Rebirth" era of the DC Universe. Retaining the black and grey colors that The Dark Knight wears proudly, the suit was a minor yet sleek redesign of Bats usual appearance - now sporting a Bat symbol with gold linings in his chest, a black and gold utility belt that looked like it had "fangs", and finally the most identifiable change in having the inner portion of the cape colored purple - a direct homage to the "purple gloves" Batman wore during his first appearance in "Detective Comics #27".
Now Kotobukiya is set to immortalize the Bat's new look in the next ARTFX+ statue hitting next year! Following Superman and the Super Sons statues, Batman Rebirth is the next in line and is expected to come out on May 2018! Above is just one preview picture the company has released of the impressively sculpted 1/10 scale statue. Check out more via Kotobukiya's Facebook page!

25 Years of Mortal Kombat: celebrating a franchise's "FLAWLESS VICTORY"
25 years ago today in arcades, Ed Boon and John Tobias unleashed the "Kombat" into the world of video games with the release of "Mortal Kombat" - a fighting game originally envisioned as a Jean-Claude Van Damme game but evolved into a fantasy horror game that featured violence, martial arts, and the ability to kill your opponent with a "Fatality" finishing move. Competing against Capcom's Street Fighter II, MK went on to become a popular franchise on its own right by spawning its own set of sequels, spin-offs, and even a 1995 film adaptation directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and starring Robin Shou and Christopher Lambert.
Given the series has reached a milestone since the days of the arcades and 90's console wars to the next generation of console gaming, Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios celebrate the occasion with a spectacular tribute video to 25 years of MK on a "Mortal Monday"!

NYCC '17: Batman Ninja Anime film coming in 2018
Holy Rising Sun, Batfans! Looks like the Caped Crusader is getting the Japanese Anime treatment for home video next year, as Warner Bros. Japan and DC Entertainment have revealed that a new Japanese produced Batman anime film called "Batman Ninja" will be coming in 2018 - with Jumpei Mizusaki of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fame directing and Afro Samurai's Takashi Okazaki handling character design. If Bleeding Cool's report gives us a glimpse of anything - it's The Dark Knight and his fellow heroes and villains travelling through time and doing battle from the present to the past in the middle ages of Japan. These are not Japanese versions of the characters - it's Batman with western and eastern sensibilities all rolled into one action packed anime package. That sounds EXCITING.
Batman Ninja will be released sometime in 2018.

SPOILER ALERT: The answer to the big "Batman #32" question has been revealed
This week marks the end of Tom King and Mikel Janin's epic Batman storyline called "The War of Jokes and Riddles" - which depicts one of The Dark Knight's greatest challenges in his early crimefighting days where he had to save Gotham City from a bloodthirsty feud between The Joker and The Riddler. That story in itself is one of the best testaments to what makes DC Comics' "Rebirth" initiative one of the best things to bring in new and old readers into the fold... But there is one thing lingering at the end of this storyline that Batfans have been waiting for - the answer to Batman's marriage proposal to Catwoman during "Every Epilogue is a Prelude" in Batman #24.
Naturally, this is a SPOILER for anyone who follows Batman and is looking forward to "Batman #32". The reveal was made by USA Today and also reported by Newsarama. CLICK AT YOUR OWN RISK.
