ICYMI: Joss Whedon is taking on Batgirl!
If you haven't heard the news yet - it looks like "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" and "Firefly" creator Joss Whedon is moving to Gotham City - specifically to direct, write, and produce an upcoming "Batgirl" movie with Warner Bros.! As reported exclusively by Variety, the director of "Serenity" and the first two "Avengers" films is taking on the DC Extended Universe, and will helm a movie starring one of Batman's closest allies in his war against crime!
No other details came and whether or not it will focus on Barbara Gordon, but it's a safe bet that if it is happening in the same continuity as Ben Affleck's Batman appears in - DC Universe and Batfans are going to be in for a good ride.

Justice League: New concept art and "extended trailer" shown as CinemaCon

At this year's CinemaCon, the stars of the film minus Gal Gadot who just gave birth to a new daughter were on hand to promote and talk all things JL. Wolverine returns? Marvel teases possible "ResurreXion" of a clawed mutant
With Old Man Logan and Laura Kinney/ All-New Wolverine running around the "All-New, All Different" Marvel Universe as the resident clawed mutants, the ORIGINAL Wolverine still remains in the afterlife.. But is he set for a return in "ResurreXion" pretty soon? That's what this pixelated image for the cover of "X-Men: Blue" is teasing - and the question is whether it's the ol' canucklehead or perhaps another clawed character? It could be his son Daken... Or another alternate reality version just pulling our leg. Either way, this comes from fan speculation that's also being tackled on by Comic Book.com following the reveal of Marvel's June 2017 solicitations (which you can see via Newsarama). We can only wait and see how this plays out when Marvel reveals more information soon.

Report: Chris Evans may move on from Captain America after Avengers: Infinity War
Looks like the burden of "wielding the shield" as Captain America may be up for actor Chris Evans once Avengers: Infinity War comes around in 2018, as a feature on the American star and director via Esquire suggests that he is ready to move on from the Marvel Cinematic Universe once he fulfills his six picture deal with Marvel Studios.
"Back in 2010, Marvel presented Evans with a nine-picture deal. He insisted he'd sign on for no more than six. Some family members thought he was nuts to dial back such a secure and lucrative gig. Evans saw it differently.
It takes five months to shoot a Marvel movie, and when you tack on the promotional obligations for each one, well, shit, man. Evans knew that for as long as he was bound to Captain America, he would have little time to take on other projects. He wanted to direct, he wanted to play other characters—roles that were more human—like the lead in Gifted, which will hit theaters this month. The script had brought him to tears. Evans managed to squeeze the movie in between Captain America and Avengers films."
Looking at it that way, you can't really blame Chris for wanting to pursue other endeavors. Training and working to become Captain America takes a lot of time, and he has more than fulfilled his fair share of work for the MCU. Whether the mantle will be passed to Sebastian Stan's Bucky or Anthony Mackie's Falcon remains to be seen, but if Evans does leave Cap behind he will do so with conviction and a good movie gathering all the MCU key players in Avengers: Infinity War.
Avengers: Infinity War will be released on May 4, 2018 in the US.

Logan: Amazing concept art shared by artist Shae Shatz
A week in and still getting a lot of people praising and "Hurt", there's plenty to talk about in the aftermath of the release of "Logan" - Hugh Jackman's final film as Wolverine and quite the swan song of a picture directed by James Mangold that stayed true to the character and used the "R-Rating" to good effect. In many ways the Western themes, "Unforgiven" inspired influence, and "The Last of Us" vibe with Logan and Laura having a Joel and Elle relationship serve the film well, but there was a lot of concepts that played into what could have been done for the film, and concept artist Shae Shatz has shared to the world some of these amazing drawings, one of which shows Logan with a dog companion that's pretty reminiscent of the main character and Dogmeat from the Fallout games!
You can check out more of these brilliant artworks in Shae's Twitter and MovieWeb!
