Now playing in theaters internationally and literally making a statement for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America: Civil War is going strong in the international box office, tallying a total of $84 million already and packing the cinemas according to a report by Superherohype.
Additionally, Comic Book.com has released a new featurette from Marvel Studios called "Cap and Bucky", which looks at the relationship between Steve Rogers and his best friend Bucky Barnes, who returns as the brainwashed and confused assassin known as the Winter Soldier.

After making a BIG statement by appearing as the character in season 2 of Marvel's Daredevil in Netflix, former "The Walking Dead" star and actor Jon Bernthal is set to reprise the role of Frank Castle, better known to the Marvel Universe as "The Punisher", in his very own spin-off series which has officially gotten the greenlight according EW and Comic Book.com.
Hannibal and Casualty producer Steve Lightfoot has been tapped to serve as the showrunner for the series, which will be the sixth Marvel property to be in Netflix and is set in the same Marvel Cinematic Universe as the films and ABC series like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Also released after the news is the very first teaser trailer for the upcoming series.

With Captain America: Civil War hitting theaters in a few days internationally and on the first week of May in the US, Marvel and Sony have dropped the bombshell of a confirmation that fans have been speculating since a certain webhead was included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - Robert Downey Jr., aka Tony Stark/ Iron Man, is going to be making an appearance in next year's Sony and Marvel Studios Spidey reboot film "Spider-Man: Homecoming"!
Confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, RDJ has signed on to appear in the first Spider-Man film set in the Marvel Cinematic Univere and outside of the other remaining appearances he has for Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2. While ol' broom top hasn't changed much, he does have a new uniform that sees him sport shades, a tie, and more formal army wear... But the ARMS and Flag tattoos remain as does his movelist of "Sonic Boom" and the "Flash Kick"! Plus it seems Capcom's going to revisit the Family Man's iconic stage from Street Fighter II, so this is going to play on those SF nostalgia feels so well! One has to wonder how Guile's going to react to the returning Charlie Nash in story mode... We'll just have to wait and see.

It looks like Batfans and viewers anxiously awaiting the animated movie release of "Batman: The Killing Joke" are going to get the mature content and rating they desire, as Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have officially announced that the upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie that's based on the classic graphic novel story by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland has been "Rated R"!
According to the report by Entertainment Weekly (viaSuperherohype), the film's producers were adamant at remaining faithful to the source content, so all of the adult themes and situations that were felt in the story will be seen in the animated film and then some! Plus the addition of Batman: The Animated Series voice actors Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill as Batman and The Joker respectively only make this upcoming adaptation all the more exciting to watch, along with a 15-minute prologue that sets things up nicely!

At this year's MTV Movie Awards, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment dropped the bombshell of a new trailer for fans looking forward to the next DC Extended Universe Film, as the David Ayer directed "Suicide Squad" gets new footage and sequences featuring more interactions with the team, action sequences, more Joker, and of course the cameo of a certain Caped Crusader in the film.

As Hal Jordan will return to the Green Lantern Corps during the events of the upcoming "Rebirth" event DC Comics has planned and will star in a new ongoing series called "Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps", which will be written by Robert Venditti and pencillers Ethan Van Sciver and Rafa Sandoval.
How Hal returns is still a mystery... During a guest appearance at the Conan O'Brien show, the cast and director of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" lined up to talk and promote the newly released superhero movie - which has already grossed half a billion dollars worldwide since it was released on March 25th. Conan however had a more serious question to answer however, and that was "Why are Batman and Superman fighting"?
The strange answer has something to do with Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/ Batman) and Diane Lane (Martha Kent), who once starred together in the film "Hollywoodland" - where the two had a intimate moment onscreen. Lane of course plays Henry Cavill/ Superman's mom, so the reactions here in this video clip are quite hilarious... And because it's April Fools Day too, Conan can be quite the prankster.
