Ben Affleck Is Batman: No matter what, he stays, and it's too early in the game to judge
So, in case you didn't hear the news, let's reiterate and revisit the fact... Ben Affleck IS Batman.
Above you'll see one of the many fan posters made and appearing online to commemorate the announcement made just a few days ago - We have a NEW BATMAN. Despite drawing a LOT of mixed reactions and criticism from all fronts around the globe, I will certainly say that it's still TOO EARLY in the game to judge Affleck, and we should be patient well until we actually see news/ footage/ trailers showing him in the cape and cowl. Heck, we should wait until the movie shows on 2015 to get a proper view of what turns out, and even people known to be associated with Affleck, or have engaged in the comic book movie industry or have even played the role of the Caped Crusader at one point weigh in on Warner Bros. choice! Read on and see some of the comments from the stars who have buzzed and shared their thoughts via Twitter!

Ben Affleck, director of Argo and former Daredevil/ "Superman", is Bruce Wayne/ Batman in Man of Steel sequel
In case you didn't get wind of the news, we have a new man behind the cape and cowl of DC Comics' own Batman... He's played a former superhero too, and won the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director.
Announced officially by Warner Bros. and making headlines in sites like Superherohype, Hollywood actor and director Ben Affleck is your new Batman/ Bruce Wayne, and he'll be joining new Superman actor Henry Cavill in the "Batman vs Superman" film slated for 2015 that'll be directed by Zack Snyder.
No stranger to playing a hero in a suit, Affleck portrayed the Marvel Comics superhero Daredevil back in 2003, and even appeared in a cameo in the spinoff film "Elektra", which saw his future wife and "Alias" star Jennifer Garner reprising the role and taking the spotlight.
Affleck also suited up as "Superman" himself George Reeves in the fictionalized biofilm Hollywoodland in 2006, and then there's the fact that Affleck directed a string of recent film hits, which include The Town and of course, Argo. Those cemented his capacity as a director, and ironically enough, there were rumors and reports that surfaced months ago that he was a potential director for the Justice League film. Those were debunked... But NOW he's firmly attached to star and become the new Dark Knight of cinema... And potentially the long run for the shared DC Cinematic Universe the sequel to Man Of Steel will bring. For more information, visit the source post at Superherohype.
Ben Affleck, the man who made "Argo #%^$ Yourself" an awesome phrase, is your new Batman and takes over the mantle from the last person to play The Dark Knight, Christian Bale. We'll just have to wait and see how that turns up, as production begins for "Batman Vs Superman" on 2014 for a Summer 2015 release.

Batman: Arkham Origins: The Batcave revealed to be in the game
Looks like a familiar location in the Batman mythos will FINALLY be seen in the Batman Arkham games.
As people brace themselves for a new villain reveal and the inevitable release of the prequel Batman video game that is "Batman: Arkham Origins", Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, DC Entertainment, and WB Games Montreal have released a couple of new screenshots for the game that reveal one major location that is home to Batman - The Batcave! Unlike the satellite Batcaves that appeared in the 2009 video game hit Batman: Arkham Asylum, this Batcave appears to be the real deal and the one and only located under stately Wayne Manor!
Also, the way it's shown above takes a cue and echoes a scene directly out of the Christopher Nolan's final Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises", in which Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne suits up and returns to the world, donning his familiar Cape and Cowl after a gantry containing the armor elevates up from a secret floor compartment.
Both scenes match up, and butler Alfred watches closely in both versions as his master suits up. For more screenshots, visit the source post at Superherohype.
Batman: Arkham Origins hits the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U on October 25.

The Walking Dead: Season 3 Deleted Scene featuring Lori Grimes online
Set to come out at the end of the month, fans of AMC's The Walking Dead are looking forward to a lot of extra features and content with the home video release of Season 3 on Blu-Ray and DVD. That being said, it's also a great way to revisit one of the best seasons of the hit television zombie drama TV series, which is based of the popular comic book title created by Robert Kirkman. The third season of course sees Rick Grimes and his group settle in a Prison after months on the road surviving the zombie apocalypse, and while they seemingly find sanctuary, heavy prices and more threats show that nowhere is a total safe haven for them without constant attack from the undead and the living.
That being said, Entertainment Weekly has released this juicy and very SPOILERIFIC tease of one of the deleted scenes to be featured in the home video release, which features Andrew Lincoln and Sarah Wayne Callies, who play Rick and Lori Grimes respectively. It's a moment that turns quite surprising, and shows what could have happened had things gone differently.
SPOILER MODE ON, so view at your own risk.

Throwback Thursday: Tropic Thunder turns 5 years
Five years ago, who would have thunk that Ben Stiller would hit a gold mine and gather some of the most talented and zaniest bad-ass mofo actors to walk the face of the planet in one sensational hit comedy!?
Of course, I'm talking about none other than the 2008 laughtrip hit "Tropic Thunder", which stars and was directed by Stiller himself, with a cast that includes comedian Jack Black, newly inducted "Iron Man" at the time Robert Downey Jr., Matthew McConaughey, Nick Nolte, and a special unexpected cameo role by action star Tom Cruise himself! It was released on August 12th that year, and became certified gold thanks to awesome crack up jokes, undeniable schizophrenic like performances, and the kind of silliness and absurdity that'll make you turn over laughing like crazy.
Five years later, and I'm still bombed as heck by the trailer alone. Let's start the recap... And warning, EXPLICIT LANGUAGE and HILARITY will ensue.

Aquaman DC animated film teased to come by Geoff Johns
Looks like a certain King of the Seven Seas may get his own solo film after all... In animated form and teased straight from the mouth of the man who's currently writing the character's ongoing comic book series.
Via a story from Comic Book.com, a Tweet question by user ChrisFox27 was posed to Johns, where he asked:
“Can we get an animated movies focusing on #Aquaman? He really, REALLY deserves a moment in the spotlight,”
Johns then responded in simple and exciting words:
"Yes You Will!"
And there you have it. A TEASE that Orin/ Arthur Curry will indeed be getting his own film, and after making appearances as a supporting character in other DC animated films like the recent Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox (where he was voiced by Cary Elwes), one has to wonder which storyline and signature plot arc DC Entertainment will adapt for Aquaman. My bet's on Johns current and awesome New 52 series. After what Flashpoint Paradox did to make the DC Animated Movie timeline conform to the new continuity, the first arc of the relaunched Aquaman series "The Trench" is likely the one to make. Here's looking forward to this animated prospect in the near future!
For more information, visit the source post at Comic Book.com.
Certainly something that's been a longtime coming, DC Comics' own scribe and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns has teased that an "Aquaman" animated feature film is in the works, in response to a fan's question on whether or not the King of Atlantis and founding member of the Justice League would get his own DC Universe Animated Original Movie.

The Expendables 3 loses Bruce Willis, but gets Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, and Antonio Banderas
3 legendary names in Hollywood and the action film business have joined Sylvester Stallone's "Pure Testosterone Action" club, and it looks like we're in for some heavy hittin' awesomeness come next year!
After rumors and reports of their participation swirling for months, it's now official that Harrison "Indiana Jones/ Han Solo" Ford, Mel "Martin Riggs/ Braveheart" Gibson, and Antonio "El Mariachi/ Puss in Boots" Banderas will be joining Sly, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, and the rest of the gang for "The Expendables 3"! The news comes via Superherohype and Entertainment Weekly, and is pretty much looking good for fans of these guys itching to see a reunion of sorts for some very familiar names in Action Movie History.
Uniting many familiar names from the action hero genre together, this will be the third film in the franchise set to be released by next August, and we can only wonder where Barney Ross and his ragtag crew of mercenaries will do next! What's confirmed is that Mel will be playing the villain, much like what he's doing this year for Machete Kills.
On the other hand, it appears Bruce Willis isn't saddling up for a return as Church for the new sequel, as he and Stallone haven't come to an agreement and it didn't pan out. Read more on the story via Superherohype's article here. Rumors are also swirling that Wesley Snipes, Steven Seagal, and Jackie Chan may join the club, but we'll have to wait for more official word on that in the future.

Shine On... R.I.P George Duke.
Just learned from my friend and fellow music buddy Caz Edmunds that another musical prodigy and legend in the world of Jazz, R & B, and Soul has left us.
George Duke, the man who gave us classic and soulful music hits like "Shine On" and "Sweet Baby", has sadly passed away. A story by NPR reports on his passing and confirmation from his publicist, and he died at the age of 67.
As a fan of his music and legacy to soul and Jazz, I'm saddened by his passing, yet his music will surely live on in the minds and hearts of listeners worldwide.
As a tribute and remembrance, here's "Shine On" by the man himself.

Silent Hill 3: 10 Years Later... It's still a terrifying sequel and an awesome classic
10 years ago, I never imagined that I'd revisit a certain "spooky town" for the third straight time in a video game series, let alone find myself controlling a teenaged girl with a feisty attitude, "life preserver" jacket, and some horrible and mysterious nightmares that could make any sane man crack at the seams.
Of course, I'm talking about none other than Konami's 2nd Playstation 2 Survival Horror epic "Silent Hill 3", which was released in North America on August 6th, 2003, and serves as the first direct sequel to a previous installment in the series, namely the very first Silent Hill.
Players take control of a young girl named Heather, who is the adopted daughter of first game's hero Harry Mason. Superman/ Batman: Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, & others named for potential Batman role
It's no secret that ever since the announcement was made at the San Diego Comic Con last month, everyone's been wondering who will step up and play the role of Batman in the upcoming "Superman Vs Batman" movie that sees the return of Man Of Steel Zack Snyder as director and Henry Cavill as Superman himself.
It's still not confirmed at this point by Warner Bros. or the filmmakers who they've chosen, but what is definite is that they want a Batman who's older and in his 40's, and they've narrowed the list to a few possible names to play the role:
- Josh Brolin
- Ryan Gosling
- Richard Armitage
- Joe Mangniello
- Max Martini
- Matthew Goode
Take it as you will from the report from THR, but looks like the next person suiting up as the Caped Crusader after Christian Bale will be a lot older, and experienced, to face off against Superman in 2015. For more information, visit the source post at Superherohype and Enewsi.
Superman Vs Batman is expected to hit theaters sometime in 2015.
