Marvel reveals Spider-Man's "New Look", which debuts on Amazing Spider-Man #61

Just before the holidays end and we say goodbye to 2020, Marvel has officially unveiled the "new look" Peter Parker will sport in the pages of "The Amazing Spider-Man" next year - and it's a new white-blue costume with orange linings reminiscent of the "Big Time" suit, but with bright circular eyes and even shades of grey added to it.

Designed by Dustin Weaver with inputs by writer Nick Spencer and editor Nick Lowe, the new suit will debut on the pages of ASM #61, and features in the covers here for ASM #62 and 63. Why Peter chooses to suit up and make a change is not yet revealed, but we'll definitely find out soon enough when the issue releases next year. So far, the costume has drawn some mixed reactions, and looks more like another change to serve the narrative.

You can read up more about the new costume via Marvel.com.

Happy New Year and Stay Safe all!

DC Comics March 2021 Solicitations Released, Infinite Frontier Era Begins

It is indeed a new “Infinite Frontier” that begins for DC Comics after the events of Dark Nights: Death Metal and Future State, as the publisher has revealed its plans for the new initiative in its March 2021 solicitations as detailed by Newsarama. It kicks off with an anthology sized “Infinite Frontier #0” issue - which is 64 pages of new story setups and revealing what will come in the next phase of the DC Universe, with the likes of Joshua Williamson, Scott Snyder, James Tyrion IV, Geoff Johns, and Brian Michael Bendis writing stories while John Timms, David Marquez, and more provide art duties.

The new status quo will see changes in characters, teams, and new ongoing series for some. Here’s the description of what we can expect:

"In Gotham City, The Joker jolts citizens awake with an attack even the Dark Knight never expected," DC's description continues.

"In Brazil, a young woman discovers her destiny and her connection to the Amazons. In Belle Reve, Amanda Waller plots an invasion of Arkham Asylum. In the far reaches of space, Mongul dreams of galactic domination, while the Green Lantern Corps hosts a summit of its greatest enemies. At the Hall of Justice, the League joins forces with Black Adam. Beyond the mortal world, Wonder Woman settles into a new role in the godsphere. And somewhere in the DC Universe—it’s the return of Stargirl, in an all-new tale written by Geoff Johns!"

Prepare for DC’s Infinite Frontier on March 2021.

Brian Michael Bendis teases the new Justice League for DC's "Infinite Frontier" era

Posted on his Instagram on the eve of the expected DC Comics March 2021 solicitations, it looks like Brian Michael Bendis' next project after handling Superman and Young Justice will be none other than the core team of DC - the Justice League.

As reported by Newsarama, the new line-up is going to be quite the mixed line-up of heroes, with mainstays like Superman, Batman, Aquaman, and Hawkgirl returning. However the line-up looks to be shaken with new and old faces filling up the ranks, with Green Arrow and Black Canary added to the league, Hippolyta and the Bendis created character Naomi McDuffie joining as well, and what looks to be either Shazam (formerly Captain Marvel) or Black Adam in the center.

We'll know soon enough what the story and the line-up is for this iteration of the league once it's officially announced, with Bendis writing and artist David Marquez teaming up once more for this next high profile project.

Tom King reveals Helena Wayne’s new look for Batman/ Catwoman

“Hello Helena” indeed.🦇🐈

Looking like a chip off the ol’ Bat and Cat block, Batman Catwoman writer Tom King has revealed a new image featuring the daughter of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle in Helena Wayne - sporting a new look that combines the best of both worlds from her parents with art by artist Clay Mann. As part of his new ongoing series that continues from his Batman run and explores the romance between Batman and Catwoman in the past, present, and future, this new look for Helena begs the question whether she is still using the “Huntress” name, or has embraced her father’s legacy by becoming the new Batgirl or Batwoman thanks to the new cowl that’s very much in line with the original look The Bat-Man had in his first appearance. We’ll know soon enough what this is as Batman Catwoman continues, with solicitations for issue #4 expected to be released soon by DC.
