Hot Toys Unveils Black Adam Movie 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

 


Posted just in time before the release of the film in less than a month, Hot Toys has unveiled their upcoming "Black Adam" 1/6th scale collectible figure - based on the likeness of actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and looking light it blasted straight from the screen itself!


In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam was bestowed the almighty powers of the gods. After using these powers for vengeance, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam. Nearly 5,000 years have passed and Black Adam has gone from man, to myth, to legend. Now released, his unique form of justice, born out of rage, is challenged by modern day heroes who form the Justice Society.

HBO Unleashes the First Teaser Trailer for “The Last of Us”!


 

Building anticipation and excitement and releasing it just in time for “The Last of Us Day”, HBO has unleashed the very first trailer for their live action adaptation of “The Last of Us” - which is helmed by Chernobyl director Craig Mazin and TLOU creator and director Neil Druckmann, and starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie!

The Last of Us will stream on HBO Max some time in 2023.

Naughty Dog Celebrates The Last Of Us Day 2022, HBO Teases The First Official Trailer for TLOU TV Series

 


It’s September 26 again, and that means fans of Naughty Dog’s “The Last Of Us” video games series are gathering together to celebrate everything about the survival horror action game franchise - including the recently released “The Last Of Us Part I” for PS5 that totally reworked and remastered the 2013 game from the ground up. In fact, the official Naughty Dog website has a blog post up commemorating nine years of TLOU Day - and has some wallpapers for the computer and mobile devices that fans can grab and use!

Then there’s HBO’s post… Teasing the arrival of the very first trailer of the highly anticipated “The Last of Us” TV series starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie!

Rumor: Marvel Legends Series List for 2023 Revealed?

 


If you’re a Marvel Legends collector and are looking forward to what’s coming next for 2023 onwards - a seemingly interesting list detailing the possible figures for next year has been put up by action figure customizer and news reporter rektangular.

Some of the rumored waves circle around Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and GotG Vol. 3, to a new Spider-Man: No Way Home wave with the three Spideys with unmasked heads and the villains, 60th anniversary Avengers and X-Men centered figures, and even a new comic book themed wave for Spider-Man that includes Miles Morales’ new costume and Chasm.

Rurouni Kenshin Returns With New Anime Series Coming in 2023

 


One of the most anime and manga works is getting a brand new show next year, as Nobuhiro Watsuki's Rurouni Kenshin is getting a new anime series that will follow a the manga storyline closely unlike the series that was released in the latte 1990's.

Revealed during this Saturday's Aniplex Online Fest 2022, the new RK series will feature Soma Saito as Kenshin Himura while Rie Takahashi voices Kamiya Kaouru. More info and details can be read up at Anime News Network!

Black Adam: Dwayne Johnson Shares New Poster

 


In one month, the structure of power will change in the DC Extended Universe as Dwayne Johnson assumes the role of one of the most recognizable anti-heroes in DC Comics - Black Adam!

As seen in his social media accounts, the Hollywood star and legendary professional wrestler also known as “The Rock” has shared a new poster showing off his dark and magic powered alter ego sitting in a throne. 

Black Adam hits theaters in internationally on October 19, and in the US on October 21 via Warner Bros.

TGS 2022: Capcom Online Program Showcases New Street Fighter 6 Trailer, Resident Evil News, and More Updates

 


It's a great time to be a video game fan - especially with all of the game developers and companies in Japan joining in the annual Tokyo Game Show festivities and showing off the latest and greatest to come in the world of video games! One of the biggest participants of course is undeniably Capcom - the developers and makers of fan favorite franchises such as Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and Mega Man, and just today they unveiled new updates and trailers in their latest Capcom Online Program for TGS 2022!

For starters, here's the new trailer to Street Fighter 6 - which shows off World Tour and Battle Hub modes, as well as the confirmed returns of OG Street Fighter characters Dhalsim, Blanka, E. Honda, and Ken Masters!

PlayStation State of Play Shows Off Tekken 8, Like A Dragon: Ishin, God of War Ragnarok, and More

 


Sony and PlayStation just wrapped up their latest “State of Play” digital broadcast showing off some of the latest and greatest coming to PS5, PS4, and PSVR2, and the highlights lf course were surprising as there were some BIG REVEALS - especially for fans of Tekken and the Like A Dragon franchise!

First up of course - the FIRST teaser cinematic trailer for the now revealed Tekken 8! Featuring Jin Kazama taking on his father, Kazuya Mishima!



Then also revealed... SEGA is rebuilding the spin-off game Ryu Ga Gotoku: Ishin from the ground up and releasing "Like A Dragon: Ishin" for western audiences early next year!


And of course, fans get a new story trailer for "God of War Ragnarok" ahead of the game's release this November!

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion Releases Cover Art and New Trailer

 


15 years ago this day, Square Enix brought Final Fantasy VII fans back to the world they know and love and gave us a game that told the story of a hero who truly embraced his dreams and fought to become a hero. That game was Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation Portable - and it focused on the character of Zack Fair - the man whom Cloud Strife based part of his personality over and who was his mentor and friend.

Fast forward to today, and Square Enix is remastering and releasing that prequel to FF VII again for multiple systems and platforms as “Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion” in honor of the series 25th anniversary. As a result, the official cover art for the upcoming game has been revealed - along with a new trailer too to hype up the release in a couple of months!


Crisis Core: Reunion will be released for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on December 13!

D23 Expo: Avengers Campus is Getting a New “King Thanos” Multiverse Battle Attraction

 


Following all of the Marvel Studios updates the previous day, more stuff is on the horizon for Disney’s theme park attractions! Fans of the Marvel Universe who are looking to see some new sights coming to Avengers Campus over at Disney California Adventure will get just that pretty soon, as Disney just revealed during their D23 Expo presentation that a new attraction will allow participants to battle alongside other Marvel heroes against “King Thanos” - an alternate version of the Mad Titan and one inspired the character of the same name in the pages of Marvel Comics!


So far only official concept art has been released for this upcoming attraction, so be sure to read more about it via Marvel.com here and stay tuned for updates from them!

Assassin's Creed Celebrates its 15th Anniversary With the Cinematic Trailer to Assassin's Creed: Mirage and Other Announcements!

 



One of the most acclaimed franchises in recent video game history celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, as Assassin's Creed turns a decade and a half. - and prepares to unveil new chapters in the saga that tackles new adventures, experiences, and the origins of one of the newest characters introduced in Assassin's Creed Valhalla!


Straight from Ubisoft Forward's Assassin's Creed Showcase, here's the trailer to "Assassin's Creed Mirage"- which brings things back to an action adventure, story driven narrative and follows Basim Ibn Ishaq during the Islamic Golden Age!

D23 Expo 2022: Skydance Media and Marvel Games Unveil Untitled Black Panther and Captain America Game

 


The celebration of all things under the House of Mouse is happening this weekend on this year’s D23 Expo, and in the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase digital event - Skydance Media and Marvel Games have unveiled a new and as of yet untitled Black Panther and Captain America game!

Check out the short teaser below that’s been uploaded right after it aired in the showcase!


Other than the fact it's being developed by former Uncharted creative director and writer Amy Hennig, not much is known about the plot and details about this game. We'll just have to wait and see what other details come along soon in the future.

Black Adam’s Latest Trailer Spotlights His Fury, The Justice Society, and a Familiar Face

 


Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is about to unleash his fury in the world of the DC Extended Universe, as the brand new trailer for “Black Adam” debuts online - showing off more of the titular character in action as well as putting the spotlight on the Justice Society!

The trailer has more Dr. Fate, Hawkman, Cyclone, and Atom Smasher, but also features their headquarters (which looks a lot like the X-Mansion complete with a jet) and the return of Viola Davis as Amanda Waller!

ICYMI: Black Adam Unleashes Brand New Posters

 


The hierarchy of the DC Films universe is going to change this October, as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson unleashes his fury by playing one of the DC Universe's most recognizable villains turned anti-hero, Black Adam!

To prepare for the release of this new entry in the DC Extended Universe that also sees the debut of the Justice Society, Warner Bros. has released a new theatrical poster that includes not just the titular character, but also Dr. Fate, Hawkman, Cyclone, and Atom Smasher.

Here's a couple of new character posters as well.






Black Adam will be unleased in theaters on October 19 internationally and October 21 in the US.

Final Fantasy VII Celebrates the 25th Anniversary of its Western Release

 


In September 7, 1997, the company then known as Square released the long awaited English translated version of “Final Fantasy VII” in North America - bringing one of the most anticipated Japanese role-playing games to western audiences. Packed in three discs and showcasing the first 3D polygon graphic made Final Fantasy installment for the Sony PlayStation, the game became a critical and financial success - and its legacy is still felt 25 years later as this particular FF became its own universe and multimedia franchise!

The popularity and importance of FFVII cannot be understated - it’s a global phenomenon, and the characters in the story have become household names with Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart, Aerith Gainsborough, Sephiroth, and the other iconic figures as memorable as any other video game character out there. With the second chapter of the remake saga coming in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and a remaster of the prequel with Zack Fair in Crisis Core Reunion due at the end of the year, FFVII fans are going to be enjoying more of the saga and its legacy for many years to come.

Happy 30 Years, Batman: The Animated Series!

 

One of the most iconic animated television series ever made debuted on this day - running a total of 85 episodes and introducing the world to one of the definitive interpretations of DC’s flagship superhero - The Batman!

Yes on September 5, 1992 - Batman: The Animated Series aired on Fox Kids, and was created by Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski to bring The Dark Knight and his adventures to the small screen and capture the hearts and minds of kids and Bat fans across the globe. Hired to portray the iconic role of Bruce Wayne and Batman was Kevin Conroy - who led an all-star ensemble cast that included Mark “Luke Skywalker” Hamill as the voice of The Joker.

Batman: The Animated Series success cannot be understated, as it birthed the DC Animated Universe and led to the creations of Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, and the Justice League animated series. It’s presentation of the character has transcended three decades of popculture and fandom, and even led to the introduction of Harley Quinn into DC Comics proper as well as other forms of media. That character also celebrates her 30th anniversary this month. What an impact and legacy this show has made - and the intro alone speaks volumes.

You heard it right! Announced by HBO Max and DC Entertainment themselves, Harley Quinn is getting renewed for a FOURTH SEASON!
