The Falcon and The Winter Soldier's John F. Walker gets Marvel Legends Walmart Exclusive figure

Straight out of last week's episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Hasbro Pulse UK has revealed the first figure to officially be coming out from the show and it was actually seen in the first opening minutes of the episode - a Marvel Legends Captain America John F. Walker action figure! Based on the likeness and appearance of Wyatt Russell, this 6" figure will be a Walmart Exclusive that is set to be released this August, and will cost just above $20 for pre-orders.

The packaging alone for the toy is one thing, but seeing a swappable alternate head of the future U.S. Agent will definitely be something fans of Cap and Marvel will want to get their hands on.

Speaking of Wyatt Russell's John Walker, the new Cap just got his character poster released by Marvel.

Pierce Brosnan cast as Doctor Fate for Dwayne Johnson's "Black Adam" movie

Looks like the next DC Films project just got a little suave with a touch of mystic and power, as Variety has reported that Pierce Brosnan has been cast as Kent Nelson, better known as the Helmet of Fate wearing superhero and magician called Doctor Fate in Dwayne Johnson's "Black Adam" movie of the DC Extended Universe!

Brosnan already joins a powerful set of talents, with the former Remington Steele and James Bond actor playing the powerful founding member of the Justice Society of America alongside Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher,  and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson of course will play the titular role in Black Adam, with Jaume Collet-Serra.

No release date has been given yet for the Black Adam film -  which spins off and acts as a sequel to Shazam! by Warner Bros.

Black Widow delayed yet again to July, and will premiere in theaters along with a Disney + Premier Access release

Those who were waiting on news on whether or not Disney and Marvel would release Black Widow this May in US theaters finally have their answer, as the Marvel Studios film and the first movie for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been delayed again to a new release date of July 9 for cinemas. However this time the film is also getting a Disney + release on the same day - as part of Disney + Premier Access and will be available for a premium price to watch via streaming.

The delay of Black Widow comes as no surprise, as only some theaters are only starting to open slowly and safely in some territories in the US and worldwide while others are still closed down. The delay may be to give time for others to recover, but as Phase 4 has already started with Disney + TV shows in WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Marvel Studios needs to play catch up in releasing their films soon and not see another delay for this film - which was originally scheduled for release last year but was delayed due to the pandemic.

ICYMI: Keanu Reeves will star and produce an anime and live-action adaptation of his BRZRKR comic

Looks like that comic book series Keanu Reeves has co-written and co-created is going to get scooped up as the next property to get the movie and anime series treatment, as Variety reports that Netflix has commissioned a BRZRKR live-action film as well as an animated series - all based on the BOOM! Studios comic book series that will run for twelve issues and is written by Reeves along with Matt Kindt, with Rom Garney on art duties and Rafael Grampa on character designs and cover art.

The story of BRZRKR feels very much like John Wick meets Logan and Superman - a half-mortal and half-god warrior who has lived for centuries and lives a seemingly endless existence of violence and brutality. In the modern world he works for the government, who promises a way to help him end his brutal life in exchange for black ops work.

Of course the film will not only be a black and white version of Snyder's four hour cut of JL, but it will also include new footage and scenes of Jared Leto's Joker - including the "We live in a society" line that was missing from the film but was finished in the trailer. A pic of the clown holding Batman's cowl also appeared a few days ago.

For those looking forward to the next Batman Arkham style game from Warner Bros. Zack Snyder's Justice League: New Still of Jared Leto's Joker from "Justice is Gray" B/W edition surfaces online, Digital Red Carpet Replay on YT

As Zack Snyder's Justice League finally streams worldwide after its premiere yesterday, a brand new still featuring Jared Leto's Joker has surfaced in the interwebz - and it's an interesting one considering it's not in the final release of the 4 hour film. Instead, Snyder shot additional scenes that are part of the "Justice is Gray" Black and White edition of the film - which wasn't released yet and is slated to be released some time in HBO Max. Much like the other promotional shots of the Clown Prince of Crime sitting down or holding a Joker card, this one sees the maniacal jester laughing as he holds up high the recognizable cowl of Ben Affleck's Batman.

The shot appeared in a Spanish DC Fan Twitter account, and was subsequently also reported by CBM.

Also ICYMI, the Digital Red Carpet for the Snyder Cut is now online and ready for a replay watch on YouTube if you missed it.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness artwork and details released, RE2 Remake voice actors for Leon and Claire return

March is a big month for Resident Evil/ Biohazard fans, as 2021 marks the 25th anniversary of the franchise with the release of the original game in Japan and North America back in 1996. As celebrations are definitely being prepared by fans worldwide, Capcom and Netflix have some new treats in store by releasing some new artwork and screenshots for "Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness" - the new CG anime series that sees the return of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield in an adventure that takes place a few years after Resident Evil 4.

Returning to voice Leon and Claire from their work on 2019's Resident Evil 2 Remake will be Nick Apostolides and  Stephanie Panisello!

Thanks to Bloody-Disgusting, an official synopsis for the series was also released.

“In 2006, there were traces of improper access to secret Presidential files found in the White House’s network. American federal agent Leon S. Kennedy is among the group invited to the White House to investigate this incident, but when the lights suddenly go out, Leon and the SWAT team are forced to take down a horde of mysterious zombies.

“Meanwhile, TerraSave staff member Claire Redfield encounters a mysterious image drawn by a youth in a country she visited, while providing support to refugees. Haunted by this drawing, which appears to be of a victim of viral infection, Claire starts her own investigation.

“The next morning, Claire visits the White House to request the construction of a welfare facility. There, she has a chance reunion with Leon and uses the opportunity to show him the boy’s drawing. Leon seems to realize some sort of connection between the zombie outbreak at the White House and the strange drawing, but he tells Claire that there is no relation and leaves. In time, these two zombie outbreaks in distant countries lead to events that shake the nation to its very core.”

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will be released on Netflix some time this 2021!

Benedict Cumberbatch talks working with Sam Raimi in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

As Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe closed one chapter with the end of WandaVision last week, all eyes are turned to the future and the inevitable return of Benedict Cumberbatch as the Master of the Mystic Arts himself, Doctor Stephen Strange. We know Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff/ Scarlet Witch will be appearing alongside the good doctor in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" next year, and Stephen himself has been confirmed to appear in "Spider-Man: No Way Home" at the end of this year.

While details are definitely being kept mum, Collider was able to speak with actor Benedict Cumberbatch during an online interview, and while the English actor didn't reveal anything he did speak highly about working with the director of the Doctor Strange sequel, former Spider-Man Trilogy director Sam Raimi!

"Sam, amazing. He's so collaborative. God, he comes with the baggage of an icon. He's an incredible force, especially in this genre. But he's so humble, he's so nice, he's so appreciative, you really wanna serve him. And boy, when he's happy, you know you've done something right. He's so good at getting you there and getting it there. It's been a very, very collaborative process, this one. Our origin stories, I guess, and obviously the beasts that were the Avengers films to be a part of were a thrill, but you're kind of just along for the ride. You do the best with what you've already got given to do. The second time around, there's a bit more of, 'So, what do you want to do, and how do we go about solving this?' So it feels very creative. Scarily so, sometimes."

You can check out the video interview below:

'Doctor Strange 2': Benedict Cumberbatch Says Director Sam Raimi Is an "Incredible Force"

Benedict Cumberbatch will return as Doctor Strange starting with Spider-Man: No Way Home this December, and then Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on March 2022.

Throwback: The PlayStation 2 launched in Japan 21 years ago today

March 4, 2000 would be a date for the video game history books - as Sony officially launched their long awaited successor to the original Sony PlayStation console in the PlayStation 2 - a sleek black rectangular DVD powered console that was 128-bit and was hotly anticipated by the masses of gamers in Japan and the world over. Announced in 1999 and with backwards compatibility for the huge library of games its predecessor had, the system abbreviated as the PS2 had a lot to live up to... And boy did it live up to that legacy of gaming through the years. As a sixth generation console, it faced competition with the Sega Dreamcast, Microsoft Xbox, and Nintendo Gamecube - but it powered on and would go on to hold so many memorable titles and memories.

Taking a trip back memory lane, here's archived video footage of the launch of the PS2 back in Japan on this day 21 years ago.

JAPAN: SONY PLAYSTATION 2 LAUNCH

With its rich library of games that includes the likes Final Fantasy X, Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, Silent Hill 2, 3, and 4, GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas, Devil May Cry 1-3, and so many other games - you'd be hard pressed to find someone who didn't know about the PlayStation 2. Three generations later, we get a new successor in the PS5 now... But this is one system that is considered one of the greats, and holds the award for being one of the best-selling video game consoles of all time.

Happy 21 years to the PlayStation 2!

DC: Infinite Frontier expands to six issue summer event series beginning this June

Looks like this week's one-shot 64 page DC: Infinite Frontier was just a warm up of things to come for DC Comics' plans for the summer, as the publisher has officially announced that they are continuing things with a new six-issue miniseries for "Infinite Frontier". Here's the announcement from DC Comics themselves:

Infinite Frontier, a new six-issue miniseries by Joshua Williamson and Xermanico with covers by Mitch Gerads, begins on June 22 to further explore DC’s rapidly expanding Multiverse!

In this summer event, Alan Scott, the Green Lantern from the Justice Society of America, has noticed some of his allies are still missing in action, and he's determined to find them. There are others, though, that would rather remain hidden than explain themselves, like Roy Harper, a.k.a. Arsenal, a man who should be dead now is not. Plus, what does all this mean for the DCU's place in the Multiverse? On opposite sides of a dimensional divide, both Barry Allen and President Superman ponder this question. Not to mention the Darkseid of it all! Or a team of Multiversal heroes called Justice Incarnate!

Infinite Frontier #1 will be released on June 22.
