WOLVERINE: Logan's Retrospective 2000 - 2017 ("Hurt")

DC Rebirth: Jay Garrick returns in "The Button" and Batman image tweeted by Tom King

Looks like a familiar DC Hero will FINALLY make his long awaited return after being teased in the pages of The Flash, as DC Comics has released (via Newsarama) the Jason Fabok drawn cover to "The Flash #22" - which sees the comeback of Golden Age Flash Jay Garrick. Back in a slightly redesigned version of his original costume complete with the Mercury helmet, Garrick's return happens during "The Button" storyline, which begins this April and spans issues #21 and 22 of "Batman" and "The Flash" respectively.

Speaking of Batman, series writer Tom King tweeted this other Fabok drawn artwork showing the Caped Crusader looking at his computer in the Batcave, showing images of the bloodstained smiley face button that belonged to The Comedian of Watchmen fame. What this means is just what "The Button" aims to solve, but King quotes Rorschach in his tweet, leading many to believe we'll be getting the answers soon to this lingering mystery that has stuck around since "DC Universe Rebirth #1" was released last year.

The Button begins with Batman #21 on April.

It's Official: Matt Reeves is your director for "The Batman"

Looks like The Bat Signal is officially going to shine in Matt Reeves' direction, as the "Cloverfield" and upcoming "War for the Planet of the Apes" director has officially confirmed that he is the director for the upcoming solo Batman film that Warner Bros. is making for their DC Extended Universe, which is tentatively titled "The Batman".

According to Batman-News.com, Reeves confirmed his involvement in a press statement released, which strangely doesn't mention Ben Affleck in it. Affleck, who was formerly attached to direct, write, and reprise his role as Batman in the solo film, stepped back from his duties as director for "The Batman" to concentrate on his performance instead. While it may just have skipped mentioning his name, he is still the Caped Crusader for DC Films, and is set to appear in "Justice League" later this year.

The Batman has no release date scheduled yet.

Farewell Al Jarreau: Remembering a true Jazz Legend...

He is undoubtedly one of the Jazz world's finest voices... And now he has joined the lord up above in the heavens and singing alongside the angels.

Sad news hit the world, as Alwin Lopez Jarreau, better known to the music industry as "Al Jarreau", passed away last Sunday at the age of 76. The Grammy award winning singer, best known for hits like "Mornin'", "We're In This Love Together", and the intro theme to the 1985 drama comedy series "Moonlighting" that starred Bruce Willis and Cybil Shepherd, had a career that spanned for five decades, and was beloved by many peers and fans worldwide.

The tragic news was given through the official Facebook page of the singer:

"It is with the deepest of sadness that we inform you Al Jarreau passed away this morning, at about 6:00am LA time. He was in the hospital, and kept comfortable by his wife, son, and a few of his family and friends. A small, private service is planned, for immediate family only. No public service is planned yet this time."

Following that and a request for contributions to the Wisconsin Foundation for School Music, Team Jarreau wrote this post in honor of Al:

Rest In Peace Al Jarreau. Your voice touched millions of fans worldwide and you are indeed a true gem in music that will never be forgotten.

Rumor: The Original Wolverine may be set to return soon with upcoming Marvel changes

Take this with a very BIG grain of salt, but if this report from Comic Book Movie holds any water coming from another report from Bleeding Cool about Marvel bringing back A-Listers in 2018, then we might be seeing the long awaited return of the one and only ORIGINAL Earth-616 Wolverine - who is currently still dead after "The Death of Wolverine" storyline left him encased in Adamantium. Currently it's his female clone X-23 walking around with the mantle, while his alternate reality-displaced "Old Man Logan" self has been running around in his place too.

It would be pretty refreshing to see the original back, especially with "Logan" set to make a mark next month in theaters and may arguably be Hugh Jackman's final time in the role. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. The Best There Is In What He Does may just surprise us with an (expected) come back yet...
