X-Men: Days of Future Past adds Rogue, Ice Man, and Kitty Pride

X-Men fans anxiously waiting for the next X-flick have good news upon them, as director Bryan Singer tweeted that stars Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, and Ellen Page are set to return for the next movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past. Bruno Mars promotes "Unorthodox Jukebox"; Performs "Treasure" during Jimmy Kimmel Live

Anyone who listens to Pop & Music nowadays knows Bruno Mars, and he's smooth and riding the  wave like thunder!

Since he rose to popularity with hit songs like "Just The Way You Are" and "Grenade" with his debut studio album "Doo-Wops & Hooligans", Bruno Mars has just about been everywhere off the Billboard and Music charts. The Hawaiian born Pop-Soul and Reggae singer has a lot of Elvis and Michael Jackson influence in him, and plays around with various genres of music to develop sounds that catch the attention of millions worldwide. His music videos also remain catchy and amusing to watch, like the alternate version  of "The Lazy Song", which legendary Spock actor Leonard Nimoy starred in.

The singer's latest album, "Unorthodox Jukebox", is already on record stores and is making noise through the radio and netsphere with its first single "Locked Out Of Heaven". It's only fitting that coming from listening to his sophomore release that I truly dig another song off the album - "Treasure".
It's got groove and funk written all over it, and anyone who likes to dance should take note of the beat, and it feels like one of the late King of Pop's classic songs, "Pretty Young Thing".

Take a listen at the original audio courtesy of the official Bruno Mars YouTube page.

Bruno Mars- Treasure

Here's the Jimmy Kimmel Live version uploaded in the show's official YouTube account, which shows how exciting and exuberant things get with live performances like these!

Alien: "Xenomorph" originally from China? A flea market art piece says so

People who have seen the Alien franchise knows what exactly the "Alien" is - an extraterrestrial and predatory species that adapts and survives based on implanting eggs into other species and birthing their own kind to propagate their own race. The most iconic representation of this terrifying space race is the "Xenomorph" -  a large bipedal/ quadrupedal black monstrosity with a huge cylinder like skulls that's complimented by their ferocious teeth and a large spikey tail. Created by Dan O' Bannon and Ronald Shusett, the Alien design is credited to one H.R.  Giger, a Swiss surrealist artist who's work was adapted for the original Alien film in 1979.

However, a new article surfacing in i09 shows something that may dispute that the origins of the "Xenomorph", showing a painting that's much older than Giger's work and originates from China. A blogger named Zhao found a painting in a flea market in China that allegedly belongs to influential Chinese artist Qi Baishi, and it has what looks a lot like Xenomorphs in it too. It's still remains to be seen whether this is genuine or not, but Giger's work is still credited as the original source. Take a look and compare both works by visiting the source post at i09.

Star Trek Into Darkness: Fan who was shown early screening of film by J.J. Abrams passes away

A noble deed was done last week by director J.J. Abrams, as he granted the wish of a certain fan diagnosed with a terminal illness to view an early version of his upcoming Star Trek sequel flick, Star Trek Into Darkness. The fan, Daniel Craft, was diagnosed with two forms of cancer, and his ultimate wish was to see the new Trek flick after doctors gave him just a few weeks to live. He and his wife went to see an IMAX screening of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to catch the 9-minute prologue, but unfortunately it wasn't screened in their theater, and hopes to catch it looked bleak for Dan.

Fortunately, a friend of Dan who uses Reddit took to the interwebz and started out a petition to ask J.J. Abrams to grant his pal his ultimate wish to see the trek film. When word got to Abrams, he did more than show the prologue, as he gave them the entire film (albeit an early draft) via a private screening! This wish grant made a lot of people respect Mr. Abrams a lot more thanks to his generosity, and one fan's dream came true.

Unfortunately,  Sad news came from Mr. Craft's family, as he passed away with his wife and brother at his bedside. It's truly remarkable that he got his wish at least by J.J. Abrams just before he left this world, and one Trek fan boldly got what no fan has gotten before... Seeing a Star Trek film first hand from the helmsman himself.
