Iron Man 3: 4 new photos released


Marvel.com has released four new photos from their upcoming new armored avenger sequel next year, "Iron Man 3". The Shane Black directed film sees Robert Downey Jr. returning as Tony Stark/ Iron Man, as he faces a new threat in the form of The Mandarin (played by Ben Kingsley). The new shots released focus on the Iron Patriot, confirmed to be the new codename for the War Machine armor worn by Tony's bestfriend Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes, and a first look at Rebecca Hall's character in the movie, who's also said to take part in the Extremis project that'll enhance Tony's abilities in the movie! Christopher Nolan weighs in on The Dark Knight Trilogy


A brilliant article featured in Film Comment highlights the "Cinematic Faith" British Director Christopher Nolan had when he adapted his vision of Batman to the big screen with three movies that eventually made up the highly acclaimed "Dark Knight Trilogy" of films. During a presentation of his first film "The Following" which was restored using 35mm footage, Nolan answered a Q&A session that was happily transcribed and posted by Film Comment, as well as featured by Batman-News. It's certainly worth reading if you're a big fan of the Nolan Batman universe, as he digs deep into his inspiration and shares it with the rest of the world, including insights on the ending of The Dark Knight Rises!  Check out the links above for an interesting look at the man behind Bruce Wayne's epic journey as a hero in modern cinema.

X-Men: Days of Future Past sees the return of Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen


Announced in his official Twitter page and then reported by Marvel.com, Bryan Singer is bringing back legendary actors Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen to play their signature roles of Professor X and Magneto in 20th Century Fox's upcoming sequel to X-Men: First Class - X-Men: Days of Future Past. Their younger selves in the successful 2011 X-Flick played by James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender will also be returning, as well as Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games) and Nicholas Hoult, who will reprise their roles as Mystique and Beast respectively.

With a few days left until it reaches home video in international territories and next week in the US, a pretty awesome user created this hilarious extension of a pivotal fight scene from "The Dark Knight Rises"!

Marvel releases info on the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One Collection!


Those who have seen the films that make up the Marvel Cinematic Universe know just how awesome the films chugged up by Marvel Studios have become, and everything that has led up to the Avengers made up what is known as the "Phase One" initiative. Fans who are itching to collect or have yet to be exposed to these movies are in for a treat, as Marvel officially unveils the "Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One Collection".

Due for release on April 2, 2013, the Phase One Collection will sport 10-discs worth of marvelous content. Featuring Blu-Ray 3D and Blu-Ray versions of "Marvel's The Avengers", "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "Thor", as well as Blu-Ray versions of "Iron Man", "Iron Man 2", and "The Incredible Hulk", as well as a Bonus Disc containing extra content, featurettes, and so much more. Marvel releases preview of The Amazing Spider-Man #700


Marvel and Newsarama have released a special and SPOILER-FILLED preview of next month's FINAL ISSUE for what may be the finest chapter in Spider-Man's career with "The Amazing Spider-Man #700". Written by Dan Slott and drawn by Humberto Ramos, with additional material by various other artists, this mega-sized final issue marks the end of an era in Marvel's long running book for its flagship character, and signals the beginning of new things starting with Superior Spider-Man coming out this January. Evil Dead Remake: First poster hits online


Following the release of the first teaser trailer a couple of weeks ago, Sony Pictures, TriStar Pictures, Ghost House Pictures, and FilmDistrict have released the very first poster to "Evil Dead". A remake of the 1981 cult horror classic Sam Raimi film "The Evil Dead", the new adaptation is directed by Fede Alvarez, and will feature a female protagonist as the main hero instead of the original series' main hero, Ash Williams.

Star Wars: Original Trilogy characters will return for Episode VII


Since the BIG acquisition news of LucasFilm Ltd. by Disney for $4.05 Billion Dollars, the very next project and priority for the new merger is the next trilogy of Star Wars films. Confirmed for release on 2015, "Episode VII" already has a screenwriter on board in the form of Michael Arndt, who's credentials include Toy Story 3 and the next installment of The Hunger Games film series, Catching Fire. What was also rumored was that three of the key characters involved with the original Star Wars trilogy (Episode IV, V, and VI) were in talks to appear in the new "Disney era" film series, namely Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa, and Han Solo. News from ENewsi and the Hollywood Reporter confirms that 2/3 of that trio will return.

World War Z: Official Trailer and Poster



Released a few days ago, the long-awaited trailer to the film adaptation of the post-apocalyptic zombie flick "World War Z" finally goes online. Starring and produced by Brad Pitt, it is based on Max Brooks' epic zombie novel of the same name, but having a different premise altogether than that of the source material. Pitt plays a United Nations employee named Gerry Lane, who tries to save his family from the zombie outbreak with the UN's help and is subsequently drafted to find survivors and a way to stop society from collapsing altogether.

Superman voted Greatest Sci-Fi Hero on Film




Good news came for Sci-Fi and Comic Book fans today, as UK website the Mirror listed the Top 10 Sci-fi Heroes on Film... With the late and great Christopher Reeve's Superman coming out on top! Playing the character in the immortal 1978 film "Superman The Movie" released by Warner Bros. and directed by Richard Donner, Reeve's portrayal of Kal-El/ Clark Kent beat out other Sci-Fi main stays Han Solo and Yoda from Star Wars fame, and were subsequently ranked as second and third in the list respectively. Other familiar names included were Captain James T. Kirk from Star Trek, and Ripley from the Alien film series.

Following the box-office success of Walt Disney Pictures' newest animated movie that is "Wreck-It Ralph", director Rich Moore was interviewed on what his ideas were for arguably considered to be a love letter movie to fans of video games and beyond. G.I. Joe Retaliation: New 2013 International Trailer debuts


Originally scheduled to be released this year last June 29th but delayed til next year, Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for their upcoming G.I.Joe sequel for next year, "G.I. Joe: Retaliation". Starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Roadblock, Ray Park as Snake-Eyes, Channing Tatum as Duke, and Bruce Willis as General Joseph Colton, the film sees the G.I.Joe team framed and attack by the US Government, now under the control of Zartan (masquerading as the US President) and a newly released Cobra Commander.

SPOILER: New upcoming "Arrow" villain revealed


Moving along with a lot of positive fan reaction, The CW's newest superhero TV series Arrow has slowly introduced more DC Comics characters into the fold, specifically heroes and villains for Oliver Queen/ Green Arrow to pair up or face against. Now, a report from Entertainment Weekly has reported the next character to appear in the show soon, and one hint to give is it's another character straight from a fellow hero's universe.
