Farewell Mr. Spock - Leonard Nimoy passes away at 83

"Of all the souls I've encountered in my travels... His was the most... Human." - Admiral James T. Kirk giving a eulogy for Captain Spock in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

As a life-long Star Trek fan... It certainly is hard to lose one of your heroes, let alone arguably the most popular and iconic member of the original cast of the original Star Trek television series created by Gene Roddenberry.

This past February 27, the world was shocked over the news that beloved actor, director, and Mr. Spock himself Leonard Nimoy passed away at the age of 83.

The official Star Trek Facebook page updated fans with the sad news... With literally thousands responding and remembering this fine actor.

In addition to his credentials as the famous half-human, half-vulcan second-in-command and first officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise, Nimoy is also known to pop culture fans as the voice of Galvatron in Transformers: The Movie, as well as Sentinel Prime in Michael Bay's 2011 Transformers film "Transformers: Dark of the Moon". Besides Star Trek, he's also starred in various television shows like The Man From U.N.C.L.E, Dragnet, and Mission: Impossible. As director, he directed Star Trek III: The Search For Spock and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, and even reprised his role as the aging Spock in the new generation of Star Trek films in 2009's Star Trek and its 2013 sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness.

If this scene from Star Trek II is any indication of how sorely he will be missed by the world.

Live Long and Prosper Spock... And Rest In Peace, Leonard Nimoy. :(

DC All Access: Top 7 Sinister Joker Moments

It may be Harley Quinn month this February (with a stellar article on the clown girl by The Nerdist that's absolutely worth reading), but we mustn't also forget about a certain Clown Prince of Crime, who just recently reared his ugly head back into the gates of Gotham - terrorizing its citizens and one Caped Crusader who's desperate to try and save it.

I'm talking about none other than Mr. J himself... The Joker. In Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's current run of Batman, he's been more chaotic and unpredictable than ever... And new revelations of his origins seem to suggest the same.

Report: Roster for TNT Teen Titans live-action show revealed!

DC Comics fans and viewers of live action television series who are looking forward to Warner Bros. and TNT's upcoming adaptation of the "Teen Titans" are going to be in for quite the surprise, as an exclusive report from The Nerdist has just gotten the scoop on which characters will actually make up the roster for the young team of superheroes mostly composed of sidekicks and proteges of members of the Justice League... And it's an incarnation of the team that's unique and has never been featured in the comics either!

According to the report which gets its notes from a  pilot script, from a the series will focus on a roster led by Dick Grayson, who will start off as Robin before transitioning into the role of Nightwing! Also joining him are Titans' veterans in Starfire and Raven, who have also served alongside the first Boy Wonder in the animated shows "Teen Titans" and "Teen Titans Go"! The duo of Hawk and Dove, who were Titans in the comics, will be based off the pair of Hank Hall and Dawn Granger. Finally, the latest and most interesting addition to the team will be none other than a wheelchair bound Barbara Gordon - aka a paralyzed Batgirl who now acts as the team's computer expert - known to comic book fans as Oracle! Barbara/ Oracle is mostly associated with the Birds of Prey in the comics, so her presence in a live-action Teen Titans show is a first for any of her incarnations.

So no Cyborg, Beast Boy, or other familiar veteran Titans... Yet Oracle joins the fray and will most likely add romantic tension between her, Nightwing, and Starfire! Things may change down the line if this is just the first pilot script, so stay tuned for more developments as the build up to a Teen Titans show continues!

Metal Gear Rising 2 possibly teased by Sony at Taipei Game Show

It looks like Raiden may be making a comeback once more, with this tease possibly hinting a sequel to the Metal Gear spinoff game that finally had the new Cyborg Ninja at the lead and doing more slicing than stealth tactics!

Teased at this year's Taipei Game Show, this "Number 2" appeared during a sizzle real for upcoming Playstation 4 games. It's not so much a sure bet as it is probably just a deliberate use of the same font, but GameSpot and Bleeding Cool have reported the same otherwise that this could be Sony's way of teasing that Metal Gear Rising 2 may happen!

Take a glance at it via this YouTube link and judge for yourselves.

Metal Gear Rising 2 (PS4) - Taipei Game Show Teaser

Now, that was just a quick glance at a "2" that holds no official confirmation whatsoever that Platinum Games and Konami are delivering another "Cut What You Will" experience, but who wouldn't want another chance to take Raiden out for a spin to cut through his opponents like butter?!

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - Launch Trailer [HD

Also, this February marks two years since the release of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance... So is it timing? We'll just have to wait and see what future announcements may hold.
