Black Widow delayed yet again to July, and will premiere in theaters along with a Disney + Premier Access release

Those who were waiting on news on whether or not Disney and Marvel would release Black Widow this May in US theaters finally have their answer, as the Marvel Studios film and the first movie for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been delayed again to a new release date of July 9 for cinemas. However this time the film is also getting a Disney + release on the same day - as part of Disney + Premier Access and will be available for a premium price to watch via streaming.

The delay of Black Widow comes as no surprise, as only some theaters are only starting to open slowly and safely in some territories in the US and worldwide while others are still closed down. The delay may be to give time for others to recover, but as Phase 4 has already started with Disney + TV shows in WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Marvel Studios needs to play catch up in releasing their films soon and not see another delay for this film - which was originally scheduled for release last year but was delayed due to the pandemic.
