In what certainly comes as no surprise to those who have read rumors following the discontinuation of the
NES Classic,
Nintendo has officially announced that their iconic 16-Bit system in
Super Nintendo Entertainment System is getting the same treatment, and will be miniaturized to support HDMI and feature a selection of 21 games in the upcoming "
SNES Classic Edition".

Sega Genesis and ignited the "Console Wars" of that generation.
