Spider-Verse storyline hasn't officially kicked off yet, and now
Spider-Man fans are getting what is possibly one of the best things to come out of it as a brand new ongoing series in the future~!!!
In a report from
Newsarama that's straight out of big news from
Marvel's "
Retail Exclusive: Meet Marvel" panel at this year's
New York Comic Con, it was just announced that the
Spider-Woman incarnation of
Gwen Stacy that first appeared in the pages of "
Edge of Spider-Verse #2" is getting her own ongoing series~!!! The issue, which sold out faster than anyone could ever expect, features an alternate world where Ms. Stacy was the one who was bitten by a radioactive spider, setting a course for her to be the web-slinging wonder girl that assumes the "
With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" mission that normally falls to
Peter Parker. That issue, written by
Jason Latour and illustrated by
Robbi Rodriguez, is going back to press for a second printing... And NOW the character is getting her own ongoing series!
