Chris Evans gives his thoughts on whether he would play Captain America again after "Avengers: Endgame"

After playing the character with such gravitas and conviction in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Chris Evans has opened up and given his thoughts in a recent interview whether or not he'd return to the role of Steve Rogers/ Captain America in future Marvel Studios films, or if it was really the end of his journey as the Star Spangled Avenger after getting the happy ending and life he wanted with the love of his life at the conclusion of "Avengers: Endgame".

"Yes, I think it is." Evans said while speaking with The Graham Norton Show (via an article by Digital Spy). "It was a great run and we went out on such a high note that it would be risky to revisit it in my opinion. It was such a good experience and I think it's better left that way," he added. "It's not a hard no, but it's not an eager yes either. I think Cap had such a tricky act to stick the landing, and I think they did a really nice job letting him complete his journey."

Much as fans would like to see Chris wield the shield once again, his character in an elderly Steve Rogers passed the mantle to one of his best friends - Sam Wilson aka The Falcon. You'll be seeing the would be new Cap alongside Steve's World War II pal Bucky Barnes in the Disney + series "Falcon and The Winter Soldier" pretty soon - so the legacy of Captain America lives on there with the two men whom he trusted and fought alongside with the most.
