Critically acclaimed English author and writer Neil Gaiman’s best work is going to get a star studded cast behind its upcoming audio drama presentation, as The Hollywood Reporter has broken the story that “The Sandman” has found its lead cast of actors to voice the characters of the epic dark fantasy series that’s published by DC Comics - starting with the original series under the Vertigo imprint in 1989. “Wanted” and “X-Men Movies” star James McAvoy will lead the assemble as Morpheus/ Dream, while others like Kat Dennings play Death, Taron Egerton as John Constantine, Andy Serkis as Matthew the Raven, and Michael Sheen as Lucifer.

Gaiman himself will be narrating the drama as expected, and the first chapter is set for release on July 15 - covering the first three graphic novels of the series.
