It didn’t even get to the end of the month yet, and Entertainment Weekly has revealed the “Big Death” happening in the pages of “The Amazing Spider-Man #26” that was teased by Marvel Comics. In many ways, it feels very random and out of nowhere - and this demise will piss off fans of the character a lot.

In what feels like a death not earned yet done for pure shock value, it’s Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel who buys the big one in ASM #26 when she assists Peter Parker/ Spider-Man and his allies in battle. Marvel has teased it would be someone close to the wallcrawler and many assumed it would be Mary Jane Watson or even Norman Osborn.
That’s not the case now, and much like the “Death of Captain America” storyline leading to “Fallen Son” 15 years ago, the fan favorite Kamala (who doesn’t even die in her own book) gets a “Fallen Friend: The Death of Ms. Marvel” one shot showing how the Marvel Universe reacts to her death.
