The Avengers: New character posters assemble

Featured in several posts in Comic Book Movie, a new assortment of character posters based on the last theatrical poster for Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios' The Avengers have assembled online! Likewise, a clearer version of the official banner poster revealed yesterday at Fandago is also out, and shows a clearer view of the team in action with some members in new poses. The Avengers Movie Character Banner Posters!

Via Yahoo! Movies and SuperHeroHype, Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios have released new character banner posters for their upcoming 2012 superhero flick, The Avengers! As you can see, each of the four posters highlight each of the four big faces in the team, namely Captain America, The Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor! Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Hemsworth are set to reprise their roles as Cap, Iron Man, and Thor, while Mark Ruffalo takes over as Dr. Bruce Banner, aka The Hulk!

Since the two trailers and first Avengers logo teaser poster, these posters are the newest official pics to come out for arguably the biggest superhero flick next year (next to The Dark Knight Rises of course). For more info and details, visit the source post at Yahoo! Movies and SHH!

Sherlock Homes 2 Update: Two new banner posters released!

Via Superherohype, Warner Bros. has released two new banner posters for their upcoming Guy Ritchie directed Sherlock Homes' sequel - Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows! The new one sheets spotlight none other than Robert Downey Jr. as Holmes and Jude Law as Dr. Watson respectively, as each man poses sideways and clings on to a weapon, with the cities of Paris and London in the background.

There's Sherlock Holmes himself, with the Eiffel Tower clearly seen in the back.

And here's his good chap and partner, Dr. Watson, with Big Ben this time on the display.

Green Lantern Update: New "We Are The Corps" banner!

With about a month to go until it finally arrives in theaters, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have decided to tune up the band and release a sweet looking banner poster that features the ENTIRE Green Lantern Corps raising their rings up high, who are set to appear alongside Ryan Reynolds' Hal Jordan in "Green Lantern"! Thor Update: A new poster and a new banner debuts!

With two months to go before it shows in theaters, Marvel and Paramount have released two new images for their first superhero flick this year, Thor! Both shown and revealed in IGN as well as featured in Slash Film, first up is a new poster, featuring a mugshot of actor Chris Hemsworth in character and costume, with the entire image draped in a hue of red, and the words "The God Of Thunder" placed right smack in the middle before the logo to remind viewers of who exactly this man is.

If that wasn't enough, Marvel and Paramount have also released a banner featuring mugshots of not only Thor himself, but also of other prominent characters in the movie, namely Odin, Jane Foster, and Heimdall, combined together to form the main "THOR" logo itself.
