SDCC '14: Zack Snyder reveals new image of Ben Affleck as Batman for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"

Just like the title of the post says, director Zack Snyder took to Twitter and unveiled the latest picture of Hollywood actor and director Ben Affleck as the new man to don the cape and cowl and play Batman, in the upcoming superhero film crossover that sees him come face to face with Henry Cavill's Superman in 2016 in the DC Cinematic Universe movie - Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
In Snyder's tweet, the "Man of Steel" director simply placed the hashtag "#75" with the image, as a direct nod to Batman's 75th Anniversary this year. The cape and cowl of Affleck's Batsuit also appears in this year's Comic-Con (as featured in this post) as one of the many highlights in the DC Comics booth, and is also spotlighted in this feature in USA Today's official website on The Dark Knight's 75 years, as well as an interview with DC Entertainment co-publishers Jim Lee and Dan DiDio, who give their insights on Affleck's cowl and the legacy of the Caped Crusader in film and beyond.

Via Bleeding Cool, IGN has an exclusive look at the cover to "Batman incorporated Special #1", which has the pooled creative talents of regular Batman Inc. artist Chris Burnham, Dan DiDio, Ethan Van Sciver, Joe Kintage, and much more. With the cover acting as a tribute to both the "Superfriends" and Batman's global crimefighting taskforce, the plan is to end Batman Inc. w/ a bang, and Chris Burnham also talks with IGN about stepping up as writer for this month's Batman #11, where he pens while Jorge Lucas illustrates. For more on the announcement and details on the one-shot, visit the source posts at Bleeding Cool and IGN.

Batman #900 a possibility?

An interesting post came up on Bleeding Cool, wherein the possibility of honoring the 900th issue of DC Comics' popular Dark Knight hero Batman popped into question. Given The New 52 changes and the renumbering system that reflected the reboot, chances of it happening were slim... Until this query came into the picture.

A reader and fan named Brian O' Sullivan posed the question to current Co-Publisher and writer Dan DiDio via his own Facebook page, and the man himself has responded so... Albeit in a very unclear and coy way.:) Will we get Batman #900? That still remains to be seen, but April 2013 draws so near...

Thanks goes to Bleeding Cool for pointing this one out. Check out the source post for for the pic, and details.
