However, the press release also debunks longstanding rumors that JGL was going to play Alberto Falcone and Marion Cotillard was Talia Al Ghul. Instead, Gordon-Levitt will play John Blake, a Gotham City Beat Cop assigned to special duty under the command of Police Commissioner James Gordon (played by Gary Oldman), while Cotillard plays Miranda Tate, a board member of Wayne Enterprises who is eager to help a still-grieving Bruce Wayne (played by Christian Bale) resume his father's philanthropic activities for Gotham City. Filming for the new sequel is expected to begin next month, so adding these two together with fellow Inception star Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, and the rest of the returning Batman cast, and you've got one heck of a Bat-sequel to look forward to. The Dark Knight Rises will be released on theaters on July 20, 2012!
