Batman: The Killing Joke Animated Movie has been rated "R"

It looks like Batfans and viewers anxiously awaiting the animated movie release of "Batman: The Killing Joke" are going to get the mature content and rating they desire, as Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have officially announced that the upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie that's based on the classic graphic novel story by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland has been "Rated R"!

According to the report by Entertainment Weekly (via Superherohype), the film's producers were adamant at remaining faithful to the source content, so all of the adult themes and situations that were felt in the story will be seen in the animated film and then some! Plus the addition of Batman: The Animated Series voice actors Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill as Batman and The Joker respectively only make this upcoming adaptation all the more exciting to watch, along with a 15-minute prologue that sets things up nicely!
