DCU's Titans: Recap and First Look at Season 2 trailer released

Hitting back with another season in just a month's time, DC Universe has released a brand new "Recap and First Look" trailer for "Titans" - their live-action adaptation of the superhero group of the same name that consists of heroes like Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Raven. The upcoming new Season 2 will introduce fans to Bruce Wayne (played by Game Of Thrones' Iain Glen/ Jorah Mormont), as well as Daethstroke and even Krypto the Superdog.

Teen Titans GO! To The Movies poster parodies "Justice League"

Arriving in theaters later this year, Warner Bros. Pictures has debuted a new poster for their upcoming animated superhero comedy film "Teen Titans GO! To The Movies" - which features Robin, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire all emulating last year's "You Can't Save The World Alone" poster of "Justice League" with their own parody - "They Can't Save The World At All". Funny.

Dubbed as the "Super Hero movie to end all Super Hero movies" and based on the comedic animated TV series that is "Teen Titans GO!", Warner Bros. Pictures has released the very first poster and trailer for "Teen Titans GO! to the Movies"  - which finds our teenaged super heroes consisting of Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Raven going to Hollywood to make it big on the big screen, but are caught up in a sinister plan by a maniacal supervillain that tests their friendship together and puts the fate of the world in the balance unless they can get their act together fast!

Report: Roster for TNT Teen Titans live-action show revealed!

DC Comics fans and viewers of live action television series who are looking forward to Warner Bros. and TNT's upcoming adaptation of the "Teen Titans" are going to be in for quite the surprise, as an exclusive report from The Nerdist has just gotten the scoop on which characters will actually make up the roster for the young team of superheroes mostly composed of sidekicks and proteges of members of the Justice League... And it's an incarnation of the team that's unique and has never been featured in the comics either!

According to the report which gets its notes from a  pilot script, from a the series will focus on a roster led by Dick Grayson, who will start off as Robin before transitioning into the role of Nightwing! Also joining him are Titans' veterans in Starfire and Raven, who have also served alongside the first Boy Wonder in the animated shows "Teen Titans" and "Teen Titans Go"! The duo of Hawk and Dove, who were Titans in the comics, will be based off the pair of Hank Hall and Dawn Granger. Finally, the latest and most interesting addition to the team will be none other than a wheelchair bound Barbara Gordon - aka a paralyzed Batgirl who now acts as the team's computer expert - known to comic book fans as Oracle! Barbara/ Oracle is mostly associated with the Birds of Prey in the comics, so her presence in a live-action Teen Titans show is a first for any of her incarnations.

So no Cyborg, Beast Boy, or other familiar veteran Titans... Yet Oracle joins the fray and will most likely add romantic tension between her, Nightwing, and Starfire! Things may change down the line if this is just the first pilot script, so stay tuned for more developments as the build up to a Teen Titans show continues!

DC The New 52 Teasers: Nightwing and Red Hood and the Outlaws

With all that's been happening in the new DC Universe and how people have been reacting to first half of  "The New 52", it's pretty safe to say that DC Comics has had a successful reboot so far in terms of numbers and attracting a new audience into the comic book world. However, the lines are divided and mixed when it comes to the issue of continuity, and while majority of the books are rebooting most of their history, some are thankfully intact. Case in point, the Green Lantern and Batman universes have carried over their histories, and while the latter series has Barbara Gordon back in the cape and cowl as Batgirl, her time being paralyzed as a result of the Joker's attack in Batman: The Killing Joke and becoming Oracle still happened despite getting her mobility back in the DCnU.

With that said, we come over to the two other books that faithful Batreaders are surely going to keep their eye on: Nightwing and Red Hood and the Outsiders. For one thing, I have mixed feelings in regards to Dick Grayson returning to the role he's best known for. I enjoyed his stint as Batman, and while I'm not particularly sad about him downgrading back to Nightwing, I can't say I'm too inclined with the new costume design. I miss the simple blue and black jumpsuit he sported prior to inheriting the mantle of the Bat, and this one just screams "forcing a mixture of the old and the new". Can't say I blame Dick for saying that. Nightwing #1 hits shelves next week.

Ah Jason Todd, aka Robin II and now The Red Hood. He died at the hands of the Joker in the 80's, and then was miraculously resurrected thanks to Superboy Prime's "Magic Punch" that sent ripples in time and caused changes in the old DCU's history. Well, he's still alive and kicking in the DCnU, and he's going to team up with a young Roy Harper/ Red Arrow and Starfire to form "Red Hood and the Outlaws". I'm not sure if I'm going to follow this book, but I can't argue about the team dynamic getting me curious either. Watch out for this one next week as well.
