According to a report by Deadline and subsequently posted by Comic Book Movie, the Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Bruce Willis starrer will be pushed from June 29th, 2012 to March 29th 2013, due to Paramount Pictures deciding to have the film post-converted to 3D. As a studio exec told Deadline:
“We’re going to do a conscientious 3D job because we’ve seen how it can better box office internationally. Jim Cameron did all of Titanic‘s 3D in post – and look how well that movie turned out.”
Those looking forward to the movie will be understandably dismayed by this bit of news. Also, I was never a fan of films being post-converted to 3D either, and this is really a big OUCH to Joe fans. Cobra has won the battle... for now. For more information, visit the source post at Deadline and CBM.
