The Dark Knight Trilogy: The Ultimate Collector's Edition revealed?

A while back, rumors were running around that a new "Ultimate Collector's Edition" set of Christopher Nolan's epic Dark Knight Trilogy of Batman films would be released. No official word has been given yet on whether this set will actually see the light of day, but it appears that a Polish Batman site may have gotten some promotional material that promotes said rerelease of "The Dark Knight Trilogy" on home video, and it looks pretty real too.

Via The Batcave.PL and based on pre-order information from the French Amazon site (with stories posted by Cinema Blend and Screen Rant as well), an "Ultimate Collector's Edition" of the TDK Trilogy is being touted for an October 2nd release. There are photos showing off what will be packed in the 9-disc Blu-Ray/ DVD combo set - which includes prints, a poster, a book, and three models of the three primary vehicles Christian Bale/ Batman has used throughout the trilogy - namely The Tumbler/ Batmobile, The Bat-Pod, and The Bat.

It should be noted that while there are pics that look pretty real and legit, this set is still unconfirmed at this point. Either way, it's nice to hope for a new TDK Trilogy collector's release that may contain new stuff from Christopher Nolan and the folks who made these three excellent Batman films, including a commentary track and more "Behind-The-Scenes" stuff that will please fans and those looking for more in-depth material.

The Dark Knight Rises Ultimate Trilogy Trailer

Originally released in 2005, 2008, and 2012 respectively, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises collectively make up "The Dark Knight Trilogy" - one of the most celebrated trilogies in cinematic history featuring a realistic depiction of the DC Comics superhero Batman. All films are directed by Memento and Insomnia director Christopher Nolan, and star Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/ Batman.
