It's been 20 years since Namco decided to count to 3 with Tekken, and that game has remained embedded in the hearts and minds of fans of the franchise as well as Playstation owners that got the game when it was released for the console the following year. On this day back in 1997, Tekken 3 was released in arcades - bringing the series to a whole new level and introducing protagonist Jin Kazama into the fold along with a handful of new fighters who would become staples in the series. The game is considered one of the greatest video games of all time, and is one of the best-selling Playstation Games of the original console's era as well.
For Nostalgia's Sake, here's the intro again to the PSX version of the game:
As a tribute, here's a collage with my collection of Tekken games including Tekken 3, and a picture of me meeting the man and series director Katsuhiro Harada back in 2009!
Happy Anniversary Tekken 3!
