Iron Man 2 Update: Jon Favreau Speaks Up In Marvel.com

When it comes to films, Jon Favreau has proven himself to be quite the visionary.

A known actor, screenwriter, and director in the entertainment biz, fans will best know Jon for making the Iron Man movie. Just because he landed the gig of directing Marvel's armor clad hero, it doesn't mean Favreau is a stranger to the superhero community. He has extensive knowledge of the armored avenger's history, as well as other comic book heroes in the Marvel Universe. Way before he landed his dream job of directing an actual comic book movie, Mr. Favreau played Matt Murdock's best friend and partner Foggy Nelson in the 2003 movie adaptation of Daredevil. It didn't stop there; In Iron Man, he plays Tony Stark's bodyguard and driver, Happy Hogan. This goes to show that the franchise is in good hands, especially when the guy directing it is a big comic book fan himself.

With Iron Man 2 coming up next year, Jon has joined in Marvel's crusade to update fans about the progress of the much anticipated 2010 movie. In The Set Visit: Part III, the enthusiastic director discusses his plans for the sequel, as well as revealing background information on the plot, discussing influences from classic Iron Man storylines such as "Demon In A Bottle" and consulting other legendary creators in the entertainment industry; namely Genndy Tartakovsky of Samurai Jack and Star Wars: The Clone Wars fame.
