Ever since he took up the role of Tony Stark, RDJ has risen to the top of Hollywood stardom again. He's been an A-show in the making, and following the success of Iron Man, he went on to star in other films that have proved time and again that he is an consummate actor. His role in Tropic Thunder as Kirk Lazarus/ Lincoln Osiris was one of my favorite comedic roles in 2008, and his next major role this year as sleuth supreme, Sherlock Holmes, leaves one to imagine how his take of the famous detective will fare with audiences. Nevertheless, everyone is waiting for him to don the armor again for the sequel, and with May of next year still so far off from us, we can only look to the cast and crew of the film for updates.
In Marvel.com's Iron Man 2: The Set Visit Part IV, RDJ shares with the fans more info about the movie and the characters, revealing more about what's to come in the sequel and some little tidbits fans can take their time processing with. His role as Tony Stark will be deeper, as he will not only face new villains and problems, but also internal struggles and issues concerning his father's legacy and his own dual identity. Clearly, Robert has a definite understanding about Tony and how he works inside and outside of the armor, and that's enough to convince fans that he is, without a shadow of a doubt, Tony Stark and the Invincible Iron Man.
Iron Man 2 will still fly to theaters on May 7, 2010.
