Kevin Feige reveals why The Avengers don't say their famous line

This is kind of a SPOILER for those who haven't seen The Avengers, so before you tread any further, go see it in theaters NOW!

In an interview with io9 during The Avengers press junket, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige reveals that the team does not utter their famous catchphrase, "AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!", anytime throughout the film because "there simply wasn't any place for it on the film" and "it sounded cheesy overtime". Disappointing as it sounds, there is truth to the fact that the line has no place in the movie, and it would sound literally forced if they actually jampacked it into the final product. Feige also goes on to confirm that the phrase also didn't make it to any deleted scenes, so anyone holding out for what director Joss Whedon confirmed for the Blu-Ray release, don't anymore. The Avengers are assembled in theaters now!

I was waiting for Cap to yell it during the 360 shot. Much to my dismay! Haha!

@Mark: IKR? Too bad, but it makes sense why they didn't incorporate the catchphrase. It would have felt forced if they pushed it into the final product.
