The Avengers: Deleted "Captain America" Scene

As the countdown to the US Blu-Ray/ DVD home video release of "The Avengers" continues, Marvel has released another feature online to promote the list of extras that will contained in the Blu-Ray release of the movie. This time, the focus shifts to a "deleted scene" that centers on Steve Rogers/ Captain America (Chris Evans), as he struggles to adjust in modern times while longing for the good ol' days of his era of World War II. SPOILERS are naturally contained here, so view at your own risk!

The Avengers Movie CLIP - Captain America Deleted Scene (2012) - Marvel Movie

On a related and interesting note, the scene here coincides with movie director Joss Whedon's initial plan that The Avengers would be told from Cap's point of view. Also, the waitress who Cap saved (and played by Ashley Johnson) is also introduced here, setting up the reason why she was given focus on the final act of the movie. Given that this was a deleted scene, I suppose Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios are saving up the "Man Out Of Time" plot for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is due on 2014. For more info and details on the clip, visit the source post at Screen Rant and Latino Review.

The Avengers assemble on Blu-Ray and DVD on US video stores on September 25th.
